Barbara – yes, I’ll still get my prescription. Just not from this mailorder place. They screw up too too any times. When I get home, I’ll call the MD and ask him to call in a prescription to the local WalMart pharmacy
After exercise came home, did a load of laundry, got dinner ready to microwave.
Get this: the other day we had this shrimp gumbo. Remember me telling you how Vince was convinced his upset stomach was "something he ate". Well, we had the EXACT same thing last night. No problem. When I mentioned it to Vince he said "well, I'm still convinced that it was something I ate". Really????? He ate the exact same thing and didn't have a problem. Same batch of shrimp. I think he just doesn't want to admit that I was right and he was being silly.

Brought my sweet baby Homer over he and Alfie had a late breakfast and Homer is tucked on my lap and happy as a clam.and Alfie hanging on the bed. We are watching cooking shows..
Heard from Aimee she said it's a hot mess at work.. I can only imagine and in there the next 3 days . Ugh2 -
Wool can be pretreated to be washable. And if the yarn is washed before the garment is made, it will wash better. Cold water, very little soap, and very little agitation will minimize shrinkage, but it won't clean as well. A warm water hand rinse with no agitation is a little riskier but generally safe.
There was a time when I bought and dyed fleece which my ex spun into yarn on a spinning wheel. I would then knit or weave it into blankets and sweaters. I still have quite the collection of yarn and sweaters.6 -
Barbara - It's in April. Today our excursion leaflet arrived. We are pondering which ones to go on. Watch this space!
They are expensive, but this may be the last time we go to Norway. I'm debating on a RIB trip around the Geiranger fjord. DH is reluctant because of his bad back.
Excited!

Favorite Cardios: Swimming - I'm not a good swimmer, but love to exercise in water where it doesn't hurt as much; Dancing, although the only dancing I do is in my house with no one watching (or maybe after a couple of drinks)…; and, of course, chasing after my grandchildren!
Ginny How did your soup come out for the Fund Raiser?? Sounds yummy!
Katla So sorry to hear about DDIL’s Mom. Prayers for you and all the family.
Heather Adorable Edie! You have such wonderful travel plans!
Michele I hope things warm up down there and you are swimming soon!
Barbara “Witness how many carryover cleanings in the ToDo list. Walk away from the computer, Barbara, walk away!” LOL!!
Tracey Your plans with the Grands sound terrific! Those children are very fortunate to have you for Grandma!
For that matter, ALL OF YOU GRANDMAS are awesome! I feel like I have really great examples for how to be a wonderful grandmother!
Rori Amazing success with your nose to knees NSV!!
Carol Poor Puppy!! My doggies freak out walking in the snow. They walk like their royal feet were never meant to touch cold white stuff. It is hilarious, but I know they really have those thoughts! It’s written all over their faces.
Machka Wonderful love story with your husband! In answer to why would I spend my life with someone who wasn’t my best friend? I still wanted to have a sex life when I married…since I already had children from a previous marriage, and I didn’t believe in running around in front of my children, being married gave me the opportunity to be intimate and gave my children a man to look up to and learn from - things I couldn’t teach as a woman.
Husband/Best friend Hubby and I had a rough time throughout the beginning years together. I had a lot of baggage from previous marriage, and he had anger issues. We separated off and on, but he remained true and continuously working to stay together. We have been married almost 25 years, and I have to say I am fortunate to have such a devoted man. He has a very different background from me and we have had to learn how to understand one another, but when it comes down to everything – he is the one I run to and the one I want to talk to about most anything. I will be totally lost if anything happens to him! I have a best girlfriend who I go to with everything that women talk about…we have much in common and have struggled with similar physical limitations. She is also the stronger personality and helps bring me out of my submissive side.
Kelly If I were one to cry, I think I would have cried at “Joaquin will often go to the window of the infant room and look in at his brother.” So incredibly sweet! I agree at the bond in the picture…so precious! What an adorable group of kids in the day care pic! You are a saint to help raise all these children! Such a special gift!!
Luci in WNC – still pages behind in reading but it’s time to babysit!!

Michele- Rodger had been complaining of stomach issues and headaches for probably 4 years. He was self diagnosing as well and refused to see a doctor. I was sure the headaches were blood pressure and stomach was diet. Since he’s been to a doctor in November and is being taken care of he has learned I was right. I understand your frustration with him saying it was something he ate. Rodger was doing that daily to me.

Yes! And since I do all of the cooking, and we don't eat out that much (once a week), the comment always feels like an indictment.
But my husband is a chronic snacker, so I have to bite my tongue when he complains about "something I ate," because I'm pretty sure it wasn't what I cooked, but too much snacking.

Will catch up later. All good intentions to pack something to eat for training meeting today. Wasnt a priority, so didn't do it. Man....lesson learned! I am currently eating an Oatmega protein bar. It is okay, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat. Pastries offered for breakfast. Hamburger and fries for lunch. Ugh! I could have eaten the burger but have burgers 3 times in five days. Upside- I didnt grab a snickers bar. Dinner wont come fast enough!

French Circle was fun. We understood most of it, though I'm still not much wiser as to why the author is not well known. Apparently he is big in Japan.
Before we set off I got cross with DH, who has a habit of asking me, "What time do we need to leave?"
Am I the Oracle?
I find it so annoying. Almost lost it. He was grumpy and bothered.
When we got there, we were a few minutes early, so we went to the pub opposite. The England/South Africa cricket test match was on.. He had been watching it before we left. All was clear. Why he just couldn't have said, I don't know. Grrrrrr!
Came home happy.

When the question was asked about what do you long for, I started to answer that I longed for time by myself at home with no person on dog pestering me. Then I realized that my life with my pets and my husband was more important than time not being pestered. Right now I am enjoying exactly what I wanted. Jake has gone to a college basketball game with a friend and the dogs and cat are asleep after pestering me a few hours ago. They won't need attention again for another hour or two.

NYKaren – I found destroying that thing satisfying on so many levels!
Barbara AHMOD – wall paper left this house years ago! Then we did the sponge paint (remember when that was popular?). My husband loved it, took me years to convince him to get rid of that!
Luci in WNC – soup came out fine. Didn’t win a prize, but people ate it and complimented. There was quite a variety of very good soups-my favorite was a fennel and cannellini bean soup-I’m getting that recipe!
Got hair cut this am before going into work, it was getting long, not back to short bob. Work was one of those days where I got lots of interruptions, but got things accomplished nonetheless. Ended day at meeting off-site. County health commissioners decided to harass me saying I am too thin (I would never tell him he is too heavy). Told him I really do eat. There were snacks at the meeting (we were saying best wishes to local provider who is retiring and starting new job in another county, she will be missed). There was fresh fruit and brownies, I had some fruit. Didn’t want a brownie before I went to work out. I just don’t understand some people.
Had a good workout and drove home in the snow. It looked lovely. Was a bit cautious because we had sleet earlier and wasn’t sure what roads were like underneath it. Most folks were driving sensible. Got to hill that leads to my neighborhood and there was a car off the road.
Satellite is out due to snow. It is really starting to annoy me-it seems like it goes out more frequently, and during bad weather is when you want news access. I may see when this contract runs out and switch to a cable provider for a while. I do like DISH program selections but I will see what competition has. May look at dropping all of it and stay with Netflicks and Prime and see about one of the internet alternatives for watching football.
Off to read for a bit.
Take care all,
