I always wondered how the salt pools work glad to hear they still use something to keep it safe. I have less skin reaction in them than other pools to hot tubs.
Got JR ready for bed watching Netflix has a good movie I’m liking “Kingdom “ a zombie movie in the Chinese dynasty times way back when.So far living it to pieces!

Heather - that is a good idea about the way we should have been self isolating.
For your friend that is worried she may have it, do you have an online assessment tool? Our province put one out so people can do the assessment and then they have procedures to follow for if it is showing you may have it.
Kim - I hope you get lots of work in the agriculture part right now. I understand your worries. Both of my daughters jobs closed as of yesterday, luckily their husbands are in high demand jobs. One is an EMT working for two ambulance company and the other works at the milk company. As long as they stay healthy they will be ok.
Our governments are going to be putting out financial aid packages over the next couple of days.
All daycares are closed here except for day homes. One of our staff members are now having to pay 2400/month for day care so that she can work. We need her as she is an RN. She told me this is double the cost of her mortgage.
I went to go to work this morning and our car wouldn’t start. It was so strange it just was silent, not even a click. I called a coworker to have her pick me up, but we don’t need this expense right now.
Disturbing stuff at work today. Really puts this all into perspective. We are on complete lockdown to try to keep our residents healthy.

For those of you who have housekeepers ...

Yeah ... after working very well for about 2.5 years, all of a sudden our van started acting up. They're not sure ... cylinders misfiring. Could be spark plugs. Could be "bad gas". Could be something wrong with a coil.
It has to go back into the shop on April 1 ... if the shop is open then.
Neither of us needs this right now.

Machka while the virus is now with us forever, I’m hoping the panic (and some shutdowns) will abate much sooner than summer. Thank you SO much for the house cleaner meme. Just the giggle I needed.
Evelyn good to see you posting.
Ginny impressed with you and your coworkers resilience. Thank you!
LuciB The very happiest of silver anniversaries to you and the of your life.
SuziQ “…decided to practice normalcy” Yes! Think this is key to maintaining positive outlook during this disruption. Verging on politicalimho the govt needs to somehow extend unemployment benefits to under employed part timers, and cut checks for small business owners if they keep paying their hourlies. The large corporations have deep enough pockets, maybe a down the road tax relief for them. But not checks for everyone, not all of us need ‘em.KJ the pics of your grandsons, coming home to changing linens, not so much ;}
Lanette thanks for the totally tomatoes link,
Kate sending healing vibes to your grandson, how old is he?
Barbie both our line dancing venues (the Grange and a sports bar) are closed. Trying to think of a way we can still dance “together” via a GoToMeeting kind of app that would cycle through sharing video from each individual’s device. It would need to be free, and work on iphones, apple tablets, androids and windows laptops. Thinking about it. That turkey project has my mouth watering. Yum!
Amber thanks for the videos especially the Latin Dance workout. Can you make tortillas from scratch? Can your daughter use paper napkins til her TP ration comes in? Enjoyed the Locked Down Blues song, especially the TP and Clorox in the background
Rita those pics give a very eerie feeling.
Heather a thoughtful approach to self isolation, and one it may not be too late to migrate toward. Hope your friend can get tested so the difficult friend can get good information soon.
Annie is it possible your daughter is ashamed or embarrassed of something, perhaps not enough credits to graduate at this time?
Too sleepy to update stats, or do my dance-at-home alternative. Tomorrow will go to the last BB&B class ‘til at least May.
A little sad, but will keep busy with alternatives to make me cheer up.
Lighter, lovelies!

My friend's email says she has a dry cough, fuzzy chest and hot if she moves around a lot, like walking.
Sounds like it to me. Her thermometer is broken, so she can't take her temperature.
At the moment it is very mild. As I understand it the danger comes later.
It would be good if she could get tested, but they are not going that now for at home cases. We definitely need more testing kits to show you have had it. So you can get back out there and visit and help others.
I'm ringing her after lunch today on our LANDLINE!!! Normally we text, or email. Of course, as you know, we meet every couple of weeks or so. She lives alone with no family near.
I consider myself very fortunate to be living with a beloved partner who cheers my life. I have a large house and a garden to isolate in. I have the (much quieter) seafront nearby for relaxation and renewal. I love my normal daily routine anyway and have a memoir to write. Three hours a day are normally taken up with exercise. I have family near if I need support or supplies.
I am very, very grateful for all these things.
I know others are not so lucky. I'm going to give a bit of money online to a local homeless charity and to a local food bank.
Brighton and Hove is a centre of the leisure and tourism industry. My son's new job is in that field, nationwide.
I am living every day to get the best out of it. Being kind, smiling at people, telling DH how much I love him. Making the most of these times to be a better person.
Rori - Is everything ok ? Thinking of you.
Lots of love, Heather UK xxxxxxxx9 -
My boss texted me today to see if I would be available for a conference call at a certain time. It worked for me, so she called me and one of my co-workers. The other two co-workers (and of course the boss) were already at the office. Normally, for safety, there are at least two of us working. We are cutting back to one person per shift, effective immediately. I will work my regular Sat shift and then go in on Thurs to do a 4 hour cleaning shift. This will entail sweeping/washing floors and hallways and wiping down anything that a tenant/customer is likely to be touching. That part won't be so bad, the time should pass fairly quickly. I can sure see the Sat shift taking a lot longer to get thru! Oh well, I will still be going for walks thru the building and doing some stuff outside etc, just locking the office up when I am out of it. I'm kind of looking forward to having some extra time at home! The owner will be paying us as though we are working our regular hours, which is a huge relief! We'd be okay for a bit, but certainly not for the long haul! The feds and province are supposedly going to be putting together packages for businesses and will be loosening the regulations for employment insurance eligibility.
Bad news from younger son tho, he and his girlfriend and her daughter were supposed to be coming for a visit at the end of the month, but that has now been cancelled, well, postponed. They are now talking this summer. I am, of course, disappointed but it's a smart thing for them to do. All schools, K-12 have been shut down in our province, all rec centres, bars and pubs. Can't remember about restaurants, I think take out is still available. I have spent a fair amount of money in the past few days filling up our freezer. Please understand, I didn't buy piles of any one thing, just a bit of this, that and the other to give us variety. Bought some frozen veggies, which I don't normally do, but when the fresh ones are done we will need something. Also made sure that our meds are sufficient to get us through at least a month.
Machka, I don't have a housekeeper, but I used to be one and your "cleaning lady working from home" would have made me snort my tea had I been drinking it! (thank heavens I wasn't drinking anything at the time! lol)
Evelyn, who might be getting her office organized this week! (Vancouver Island)7 -
Quick update. Planning today to situate more staff to work from home. State pushed out some technology approval late yesterday that is unheard of. Hopefully will be able to get essential staff set up. Difficult choice will be what services don't continue. Lots of details to work out-pay, duties, etc. Not letting public into the building at all-communication by phone and email only. Concerned for people who may not have those resources, but we will figure something out. While we have a pretty good continuity plan, most elements were reactive based on natural disasters, etc. COVID-19 is a different beast.
Things at home are pretty much in place. Occurred to me at 3 this morning that if my Chewey order is disrupted, I may run out of cat litter. Hopefully Dollar store has a bag of something for me.
Take care of yourselves.

Hello everyone.
Tracey – Love the baby meme. That is what those of us who live in hurricane alley look like after every hurricane warning. Sorry to hear about your vehicle. The last time Betsie the Beast did that all I needed was a battery which was easy enough for me to pick up and put in myself. Do you or someone else have a battery charger? You may be able to charge it enough to get it started. If you cannot charge enough it is definitely the battery and those are realllllly easy to pick up and put in yourself.
Michele – Glad to hear PJ is OK and yes, babies are built for small mishaps. I am still shaking my head that neither parent has the skill to drill a few holes and hang a darn baby gate. Funny story. I met Charlie during my 30th year. For our first Christmas he asked me what I wanted. I told him a drill. He looked baffled. I told him every time I need a drill I have to borrow one and life would be so much easier if I had one. That same year his mother visited so she could meet me. While they were out shopping he said he needed to stop at Home Depot and told his mother why. She said to him, “A drill?! Are you sure about that Charlie?”. It took him over 30 minutes to convince her that yes, I wanted a drill for Christmas. I think she fell in love with me that Christmas morning when she realized I was practical and very independent. Thank you for continuing to serve.
Karen – I am hitting my to do list too. With commute time savings I will be completing one household chore each work day. I imagine my house is going to be looking very clean over the next few weeks.
KJ – The grands are beautiful. Such joyful pictures. Your imagination and care for the children continues to amaze me.
Kate – I am glad you decided not to get on the plane. Hoping you are able to get a refund.
Barbie – I am sorry to hear about your classes being canceled. Many are coming up with imaginative ways to continue forward such as Skype and online meetings. The yoga studio that offers the free yoga in the park classes is going to be broadcasting classes on its website.
Margaret – Big hug to you for shouldering the care of your family.
Rita – Wow, it must be a little eerie at the park right now. Hopefully you have enough to keep yourself busy and are able to enjoy some downtime.
Heather – Sorry to hear about your friend. The hospitals are attempting to set up drive-through testing centers here in South Florida. I think it’s a great idea and will result in less exposure for everyone.
Barbara – I agree all of us may not need. But, we can donate it or help someone who does not have the ability to work remote or is financially insecure. I imagine there will be income limitations.
Online Orders – I imagine it will get better within the next two weeks or so. The panic buying will have slowed greatly and the stores will have inventory again. I am planning at that time to place my first online order. Not sure about delivery or pickup. I will decide when the time comes as I may need to get out of the house at that point.
Small Rant About Those Who Feel the Need to Go Out and Pick Up One More Thing. Read at your own will. I will apologize now for anyone I may offend.I am staying out of the stores and away from everyone and my wish is everyone else does this too. Do we really need that last thing on our list? With testing still gearing up all we are doing is exposing ourselves and while most are only getting mild cases do we really need to be exposing others while we walk around stores and then come home to our families. The more we hunker down now and not mix with others the faster we will slow the spread. Personally I do not want to be locked down through the summer and by continuing our “need” to go out all we are doing is extending our lockdown time.
Let’s take a look at the countries where everyone was going about their days thinking this was not a big deal. They are now under complete lockdown except for necessities. Is this something we really want? Is it a need? I say no to both.
For the love of humanity please stay home. I am asking those who are stocked up and can do without please stay home. For those who feel this is an inconvenience and are still going out socially please stay home. For those who feel they cannot live without xyz, please stay home.
The spread and safety of others is in our hands. It is up to us to stop the spread. Allow those who must go out to work, provide necessary services, provide healthcare, serve others etc. to be safer with less of us out and about. It is up to us and no one else.
I do realize many may block me after my little rant and that is okay. Again, I am sorry if I offended anyone. What I say is for the love of all persons.
Hugs to all and prayers to those in need.

Not offended at all.
But I am one who is out shopping just about every day.
Explanation ...I work right in the middle of the city and at lunch everyone goes out and walks to run errands or for exercise or whatever. Usually, I have to elbow my way through crowds or take the long way around to get places. And there are often lines.
But now the stores here are empty ... even the grocery stores ... and people aren't even out walking much. It's all gone really quiet.
So I figure I'll continue to do my part to support the economy. Plus shopping now is a dream!! I've got entire stores to myself!
Now in my situation, I'm on an island and we've got a grand total of 7 people with C19 with no additions to that number in several days.
The assumption here is that by summer, we might be all right. Of course summer here is December. Meanwhile, it will likely continue to escalate through the winter. So the advice of our government officials is to try to keep "business as usual" for a while yet ... while we still can.

I hope so too. Of course, summer here is December. I hope international travel resumes by December too but there are no guarantees of that.
I expect the initial panic will settle down and things like frequent hand washing, extra cleaning, social distancing, doing things like work, school, grocery shopping, etc. online and so on will become our "new normal".

Morning, afternoon and evening, all,
C-19 and familyWas texting with my daughter all the way up to going to bed last night. They just shut down all the schools in Kansas yesterday, so she now has an 8-year-old, a 5-year-old (tomorrow she'll be 5) and a 10-week-old child at home, and she's supposed to home-school the 8-year-old. Her maternity leave is over on April 4, when she will have to go back to work, and she is utterly panicked about everything. She and her husband are both soldiers, and he's at a school in Georgia for another two weeks, so he will be coming home just as she goes back to work.
The text that got me was the one she sent saying, "I shouldn't be, but I'm kind of worried about food now in case things escalate... I can go with minimal food just as long as the kids are good." She tends toward the over-dramatic, which I know this is at this point, but I just hate to see her so scared. I want to protect my kid, and my grandkids, and I can't. I've said since the beginning that the C-19 isn't as much of a problem as the fear of it. Too many unknowns for us all.
My personal working situation hasn't changed much, if at all, since I was remote to begin with, but we've got a Teams (online) meeting tomorrow on what my department can do to make up for losses from a shortened cookie season, having to cancel two of our major fundraising events, and so on.
They've already clearly telegraphed that they're going to lean on the grant side (me) heavily. I already do everything I can, so I'm not sure what rabbit they think I will pull out, nor what orifice I will pull it out of, so it should be an interesting meeting.
Might as well laugh about it...

A little story ...
Since my husband and I have moved into this house near the beach, we walk to the beach at least once a week, some weeks we go several times.
About 3 years ago, we started coming across a lady who was out walking by the beach too. And after we just smiled at each other several times, she complimented me on my hair and then commented on it a few more times. We would chat briefly and keep walking.
When my husband had his accident, I stopped walking by the beach after work for a long time, and even when we have more recently, we haven't seen her there.
Then, a couple weeks ago, we were in the shopping area in our suburb, and went into a store we had just walked past before. It is full of many interesting things ... a few things we wanted. But time was getting on, so I left my husband to purchase them and dashed across to another store to pick something up. When I got back, he was chatting to the owner/manager ... and it was her!
I know shops etc. are very, very quiet these days, so yesterday, after my dental appointment, I decided to go there and bought a new friend ...

Further to what I said above ... this is what's in our local newspaper. It is what Australia is preparing for:
https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/warning-social-distancing-could-last-a-year-amid-coronavirus-pandemic/news-story/994ef4aa7bc68bb861a9034ac1d0dc092 -
Happy Wednesday,
Our work is still open. People still need to cut grass. Trying to maintain social distance, not handling other's credit cards or pens, wiping lots. Spring gets us through the year so nerve racking to not have a line out the door......what will be, will be. BREATHE!
Grabbed carryout dinner last night as friends we normally eat with wanted to get together. Our favorite place closed down yesterday even for carryout. Was a pleasant evening but miss my hugs!
Had a customer come in yesterday who is normally a together person. She wasn't. She had just found out her son has a malignant tumor and is in serious condition. Her husband died last year. I so wanted to give her a hug. I gave her a "kindergarten hug" and told her I would pray. She thanked me and said his name is Paul. I wanted to cry. I miss my hugs.
I dispise rubber gloves, but hands are cracking from washing, so I will suck it up and wear gloves today-grumble.
Hugs to all!
If we do have to stay home at some point I hope I can make the time worthwhile.
Keep on working at being the best you can be!

Happy midweek Peeps!
Barbara AHMOD - thank you for the link. Again, our friend Vitamin D to the rescue perhaps. I've been seeing other articles about the Angiotensin-converting enzyme and will delve into them more today.
Flu stuff - tho I admit this whole post touches on it. Fair warning, lol:Along that line, I wish I had access to the book written about the "Spanish" Flu - the pandemic that raced through the world in 1918. I read it within the past decade and it would be timely right now. Strangely, it mostly impacted young adults ages 20-40, with older folks having some immunity from an 1889-90 "Russian" flu pandemic. As I recall, infants were generally spared.
When we had the farm, DH and I used to spend time wandering through the old Polish cemeteries in the small town nearby. What jumped out at us were many tombstones with 1918 death dates, in some cases whole families were nearly wiped out. This was in rural SW Washington State.
Thinking back to my own heritage, my folks were born in 1915 & 1916 and their parents would have been in their early 20's in 1918. This was in Northern Indiana. I am pretty familiar with our family tree and cannot recall anyone of my ancestors dying in 1918-1920. Perhaps they stayed pretty isolated on their farms? Or had some type of genetic component that helped boost their immunity? Or had more sunshine? Or ate differently? Or they didn't smoke so had healthier lungs?
I am upgrading my order from just a plain tele-porter to one with the time machine function.
Great trip to town yesterday, the grocery stores had everything I needed. Walmart had gotten in a shipment of TP, so lots of that was headed to the registers but people weren't being greedy about it.
I admit to some overbuying....DH's favorite treat is TWINKIES. Yes, I picked up three boxes of them, leaving only 2 left on the shelf.
Am I the only one whose hands are in bad shape from using the wipes and hand sanitizer? New plan - I dug out some plastic gloves - think I got them at the beauty supply store ages ago when I was dying my hair - and from here on out will wear them when I go to town. They'll be protection from the chemicals on the wipes and the alcohol in the sanitizers. Easy enough to wash as well, hope they hold up. If not, I have spares.
Been reading a lot of GOOD news about how medical researchers all over the world are making good headway in treatment. I think as the weeks go by, they'll have this thing sized up well and life will slowly start returning to normal for many folks.
Interesting to note we often have discussed, in this thread, methods for turning away from worry, counting blessings, finding peace within ourselves and being in the moment. Surely it's been good training for days like these.
Hungry dogs: gotta go. Make it a good one!

Heather the best thing you can do is just stay put as much as you can. If you do help make it something that you do not come face to face. Like the groceries I have for my friends I plan to leave on their doorstep. No face to face. Good news on that front. They made it through airport without too much trouble. They will be back late tonight or tomorrow morning. Do not be tempted to go visit your friend. You do not have the right safety equipment to help her.. The best you can do is encourage her to do the best self care she can for herself and if she has any Vic vapor rub to start using it. Eucalypsis is the best natural oil that kill viruses. Tea tree oil is the second best choice.
One thought for all of you is in one of my few trips out to get supplies is I bought seeds. Mostly vegetabe seeds with a few flowers. I am going to have more veggies at sons house because he has much more sun than we do.
Our area is fast becoming a place where we may need to go into total lock down. At worst a few days at best two weeks. So I know it is coming.
If this is not in your area you have time to prepare. Use your time well. Start practicing social distancing. This slows the spread down. If you have any sign or any kind of illness stay home, so you can get over it quickly and strengthen your immune system. If it is cold or flu like assume it is this illness. It can affect the GI track too. Stay home and do the best self care you can so it does not spiral into the serious form of this illness. Save doctor and hospital visit for only true emergencies. You do not want to be in hospital right now if you can help it. Ours now is restricting visitors. Since son is in one I wish they would have a no visitors rule like the nursing homes.
Grocery store will be open during this time. What is important is you have about a month of food on hand in case your area goes into lockdown. Who this will happen to remains to be seen. This is just time to prepare especially if you live in a city like we do.
The hospitals are going to be busy enough with this so anything you can do to stay away from the medical establishment. Cancel any rountine test medical or dental. Make sure if you are on medications to get them. If you are getting low and insurance will say you need to wait. Argue these are not normal times argue for getting at least a two month supply. If you can I would if I were you even pay for the extra if you can get the doctor to write the prescription.
I will not put this in a spoiler because I love all of you. Those where this has started to hit will understand why I am writing this. For those where it is just starting please heed what I say or if you are lucky there are no cases you have the gift of time.
Once it hits and those around you have not pracitced social distancing, staying home when sick, washing hands and cleaning hard surfaces your area has from two weeks to a month before you will be more than likely in lockdown.
Stay out of restaurants and minimize any public gathering spot that you can. Postpone any family gatherings. Avioid crowds. As much as you would love to have grandchildren over wait on that too especially if this is already in your area. If you currently taking care of them enjoy your time with them. I hate to say it but stay home with them and do not have playdates.
The more people who heed these warnings and do the practices that have been laid out the less likely your area will have to go into lockdown.
Getting outside and walking as long as you pracice social distancing is one to the best things you can do for your self.
I did not publish the letter I read from a woman who lives in Italy that I read on FACEBOOK about a week ago because I didn't think it was the right time to present the info I wanted it so that most of you would be open to hearing the message.
Now I think more of you are ready to listen and start preparing if you have not already done so.
Again thank you thank you thank you Amber for giving me the gift of time to get ready for this.

Sensible advice from you lovely ladies. We're not in total lockdown yet although cinemas and lots of restaurants closed but not bars!!
One good thing about DH being unwell (not CV) is that he hasn't felt like going out any further than local shop for his newspaper. He'll get stir crazy when he feels better as he loves socialising.
DGS is 18 and not got any worse more worried about them coping financially as they are self employed They run courses for universities and one London uni has cancelled all courses for foreseeable future. Others no doubt will follow. Measures supposed to be put in place to help but not yet
Keep well everyone

Margaret - No chance of visiting my friend as she is currently in York, where Viv lives in the north of England. She has a sister in the Midlands, but she had a major back operation last week, so is pretty much locked in. I'm going to ring her in about 30 mins.
I'm persuading myself now and again that I don't feel well. Then I forget about it and feel absolutely fine. I did all my exercises this morning and will try some rowing this afternoon. I took my temperature and it was normal. I'm not going out anyway, so it's not a problem for anyone else apart from DH and he will get what I get.
Lamb and flageolets stew tonight with cabbage.
Stewed plums with homemade yogurt.

Working on next assignment for uni ... all about Smart Cities. I'm doing this with a group and in many ways I'd find it easier to do on my own, but it is what it is.
My cycling organisation is trying to decide what to do about our rides. Most of our rides have low enough rider numbers that it is easy to practice social distancing while riding. But they are long, so riders often need to stop to get supplies along the way. And I've just found out that some councils are closing some of their public toilets which makes it a bit more challenging. We'll have a Zoom meeting about that tomorrow.
And then I have to decide what I want to do about our Easter cycling events.
Fortunately, I'm off Friday because there was supposed to be an event this weekend, but we didn't have enough interest to run it. That is just fine ... means I can stay home from work and work on my assignment.
Plus I'm thinking I might start trying to take 1 day each week off work ... limit my people time. And it's not like I need to bank time to travel anywhere.

Good morning Ladies!
I am 39 hours into an extended fast that I will be breaking at 2:00 today. They are not getting easier...just sayin' Corned beef and cabbage was saved for me along with homemade soda bread! I'll do my Irish jigging today! On the upside ... I've lost 5.5 pounds so far this month!
Late last night we decided we will be bringing our older, disabled son home today to shelter with us. He has been living in a small facility with 2 other men who are also physically disabled. We have been having significant staffing issues as medicaid funded pay for care aides is substandard ... and you get what you pay for. Sadly, most of his aides are unable to care for themselves let alone my son and his facility. I spent all day Monday asking why he hadn't been showered in a week and the aides had told him that Covid-19 wasn't an airborne illness?? They weren't even washing his hands?? Self-distancing is just not going to happen there. He has heart, lung and kidney issues. I'm praying I have not waited too long.
His being home with me will be a huge adjustment for all of us as he's not lived at home for over 10 years. Thankful my younger son is also back home during this time as he will need to be my second set of arms. DH is unable to help me with his back and now a twisted knee. We will be getting my son and his equipment within the next few hours.
DH is working remotely today. I have officially been laid-off ... but the board last night approved my raise for our new fiscal year that begins in June ... so when I go back I'll get a little bit more. I know many who are beginning to struggle financially.
Margaret ... I spent the last two days trying to do my best to clean our church facilities (which had services and activities on Sunday) to the best of my limited abilities. I wore a mask, gloves, hat to cover hair and I peeled off every piece of clothing I was wearing at the washing machine the minute I walked through the door. We locked the doors at the church and placed signs no one was to enter. Evidently, some program leaders who have keys thought it didn't mean them and one gentleman gathered a group of boys inside the church gym last night while the church board was having a meeting via Zoom instead of the church. My efforts were wasted. Until people get the illness or know someone who does, they will continue to disregard recommendations.
Hands ... my hands are cracked every year about this time as I am religious about washing. Today, my hand creams burn.
Food ... I was prepared for my husband and I (and I only eat one meal a day with intermittent fasting). Now I have two more adult male mouths to feed (both sons). Younger son is a stress eater and he's going to need to stop his late night foraging. I do not want to go out into the grocery stores right now. My produce box has been delayed. Rats.
SuziQ and Margaret ... your advice is so very important! Thank you!
Baby Pictures ... please don't put them in spoilers!! When I start scrolling ... seeing a large photo of a beautiful child reminds me of everything that is good and right in this world! My own face instantly lights up as well!

The reason most people fail instead of succeed is that they trade what they want the MOST for what they want at the MOMENT.
This applies to the urge to run to the store for some impulse purchase. Do I really need potatoes to go with the turkey I cooked yesterday?8 -
Sending loving and strengthening thoughts your way Beth. You are a wonderful mum. I feel so angry when I read of the way your son's place is run. Grrrrrr!

HeatherImmune people could do a LOT of good! - they would still have to be very careful not to transmit the live virus via fomites, though.
LisaIs your daughter under the impression that food will be in short supply? That should be relatively easy to straighten out… https://www.forbes.com/sites/rachelsandler/2020/03/16/no-grocery-stores-arent-shutting-down-and-they-wont-run-out-of-food-either/#6d029b594855
LOL! a permanent tattoo saying This Too Shall Pass - that's so funny!!!
C-19US/Canada border just closed. Has that ever happened?

I stayed up waaaaay too late last night reading Absent in the Spring by Mary Westmacott aka Agatha Christie. Thank you so much to the person that recommended it. Maybe Machka? There are 2 more novels in the book I ordered: Giant's Bread & The Rose and the Yew Tree.
Lilly is staying home with Daddy today.
Oldest grandson is doing his online school with his mom today.
So here I am with a whole day ahead of me! It actually feels a bit decadent.

Morning ladies~
well we are trucking along here.. I have my granddaughter for the forseable future as my son works at a grocery store and I am carting him back and forth because of his no car situation .. and my daughter works at the vets office , they are not closing... somehow this has worked out that I am off to watch Taliah and the dentist where I used to work is open for emergencies only, so they split up into 2 teams ,Dr P his assistant and one hygenist, and then the next week, Dr Mike ,Zina and Jeanette.. they have hired 2 or 3 new office workers and I am sure they are rotating them also..5 -
Karen - I was able to text with her later this morning, introduce her to the Walmart app, and she was able to order the formula she needs for the baby. She'll pick it up later this afternoon. That set her world back to rights. She just needed something to go right, I think.
My son is on a plane tomorrow from Oregon to LA to Springfield, AR, just an hour up the road from us. Look forward to seeing him in a few weeks, as we're going to give it that much time after his flight, but worried about whether he'll be able to get all the flights he needs. Can't change it, just have to let that happen. He's a grown man, and can handle it.
Back to work, checking to see if I can find my crystal ball, because that's what they're going to be asking me, I'm thinking--what does the future hold. I think we'd all like to know that.
Later y'all,

Beth- They been saying if you see abuse signs like not being washed a week to report it. They can’t become lax at this time or any they will have charges pressed against them now or after this is over. Needs to be reported for the others there so the government agencies can step in move ones needing moved to get them care even force management to hire new staff if need be. What their doing will lead to deaths reporting will save lives.
