For sure. I agree. I NEVER EVER want to be in the position to need someone again. Not in that way. But....I’ve kind of made this weird deal with myself that when a sappy quote or meme shows up that touches me, I make myself share it with someone or somewhere. Not all of them but certain ones. I just think people should be careful with their words. And they should realize that when you say deep and lovely things such as “I love you”......people with pure hearts believe that *kitten*. And it’s really not something to play around with. I don’t agree with it 100% but the sentiment.2 -

My feeling is this - people may not often tell you how they feel about you, they'll show you. Trust ones actions. Words are only words, and feelings are often fleeting. A lot of times someone will tell you what they think you want to hear.

If they seem into it I do (surprised?😂) If they said nothing at all I wouldn’t keep sending them. I’d feel funny and like maybe it was unwanted. I don’t need any over the top compliments all the time but if I’m sending special “for your eyes only” stuff I would need positive feedback to know I’m not making a fool of myself. And I would love reciprocation.

Yes. We spend 50% of our relationship apart because he leaves town for work every two weeks so I usually send one every day when he's gone. Mostly so he can see whatever I wore to work or my workout clothes, it's pretty mundane. The workout ones came in handy because over time I had progress pics. We used to live together so there was no point sending selfies, he saw me every day.
I don't expect a compliment. Occasionally I'll get one, or some sort of comment on the clothing.2 -

My SO and I send each other probably 1 selfie a day😂...at least on the weeks we don't get to be together. And he's not a social media guy so its sweet and endearing...I love seeing his face🥰2 -

Yes. All the time. We’ve been married nearly 21 years (together 27) so it’s more about sending funny ones to make each other laugh rather than fishing for compliments.1 -

We do.
My wife works afternoons half the month, so I only see her if I wake up when she gets into bed and the weekends. We do send selfies, but mostly tons of hilarious/gross memes.2 -

I send the guy I'm seeing gifs, reels and links to articles that I think he might find interesting. I send all of those to friends and family too.2 -

No. The only thing we send each other is pictures of our dog(s) doing cute/funny dog stuff.2 -

I send provocative selfies to my SO when I'm in the mood to do so (IE. when I feel like I'm actually attractive which is sadly, very, very rare). He appreciates them and there is a erm.. dedicated hidden folder on his laptop.
I do not expect compliments back, but I get them. I just find them hard to accept as truth, although I know 100% that he means what he says and isn't just saying what he thinks I want to hear. The problem lies with me, not him.

Wait.. there are couples that don't just do this to one another daily? We're constantly finding stupid *kitten* to send to one another. We sometimes send *kitten* to one another when we're sitting in the same room on two separate computers. We have good laughs over most of it.2 -

We do this a lot throughout the day. Sometimes if I am super busy at work, I won't see them until i get home and I get that dreaded question and I cringe. There is no way on earth I want my SO to feel ignored or unimportant or the like.2 -
