Oh Luci -prayers for the babies safety through this. Hopefully they got lucky haven’t caught it. So important to stay inside not come in contact with other family members as much as possible just have a small number circle. Babysitter y the ones inside the house only. This stuffs a nightmare. We were so lucky my dead Aunts test came back negative for that very reason she came in contact with others plus hospital staff.

    Amber Tx

Goodnight all. Long day I had a cheat day needed a break so light exercising very light y ate 3 meals today (I usually eat 2 plus a snack)

    Activity Ideas

    Photography
And here's another idea ... when I had more spare time, I used to participate in photography challenges on a couple websites, and one challenge theme that used to come up now and then was "5 minutes from home" or "in your neighbourhood" or things like that.

The idea was to go for a walk in your area, really pay attention and look at things, and take photos. :)

    Languages
Also, apparently Amazon and Rosetta Stone have a deal to help anyone interested to learn a new language. That might be an idea for those who are bored. Duolingo is free, but I've heard that Rosetta Stone is more comprehensive.
    https://www.pcworld.com/article/3534696/become-bilingual-on-a-budget-with-rosetta-stone-unlimited-for-just-85.html

I'm not sure, but it might be possible to plug in and listen while walking.

    Science

If you're into science or you have grandkids who are ... check out NASA's Space Place. You could spend several days just browsing through everything there.
    https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/

I went to the Parents and Educators link and found there were several other links available:
    https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/menu/parents-and-educators/

The JPL Education one looks good:
    https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/edu/

But there are several others to explore.

    Book Nooks

Here's another activity idea ... these are really cute and if I had the time, I'd be tempted to try to make one ...

    https://www.buzzfeed.com/christopherhudspeth/book-nooks-bookcases-shelves-creative-art-diy

This is one example, but the link above shows quite a few of them.

    Masks -- Australian Government Advice

    https://www.health.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/2020/03/coronavirus-covid-19-information-on-the-use-of-surgical-masks.pdf
    "General public
Surgical masks in the community are only helpful in preventing people who have coronavirus
disease from spreading it to others. If you are well, you do not need to wear a surgical mask as
there is little evidence supporting the widespread use of surgical masks in healthy people to
    prevent transmission in public."

We can only get them if we contact our GPs and they determine they are necessary.

This is interesting ... might be worth further research if you're making your own masks.

    DST - has ended. :(

Rhody doesn't understand the concept of time changes and wants it to remain on DST like I do!

Veggie Gardens - since most of you live in the northern hemisphere, are you putting in a garden this spring?

We're in harvest mode down here but have picked up a whole bunch of seeds which have recommendations that they be planted in the autumn/winter.

But it wasn't easy finding seeds ... seems like everyone had the same idea.

It's a good way to get your fresh fruit and veg without having to go to a farmer's market or fruit & veg shop. We're slowly building up our quantities from getting a couple meals' worth to being able to freeze several meals' worth.

Weight - I'm down about 3.5 lbs to the lowest weight I've seen since January, I think. Here's hoping that trend continues through winter.

Got new bike shoes! These have carbon soles and they were on sale, bonus!

    Well done!!

I picked up these at Christmas and then went back and got the last pair on the shelves, so I've got 2 pair of them. They are very comfortable.

A good friend & neighbor made proper face masks for us. Now I can better protect myself when I go out in public. It was a wonderful and generous gift.❤️

That's what we have been told all along, too . . . until two or three days ago. Now they want us all to wear something, even if it's just cloth. Well, except dear leader, of course. He's too cool for that. :smirk:

We haven't started wearing them yet, but that's only because we haven't made them yet.

    Hello everyone.
Oh, how I love Sundays. Even when I awaken at 2:30 am!

When I read things like this, I think to myself ... how are you managing on 1.5 hours of sleep in a night?!? :astonished:

    Happy Sunday :)

It's a lovely sunny day, so might get out to do some gardening this morning. I have some bulbs to plant, not sure if I have left it too late though, but at least they will come up next year (I hope) I don't really have green fingers (more black - nearly everything I plant dies :( ) The grass could do with a trim, and the hedge at the front needs a bit of a tidy. I can't say I don't have time now can I :D

My weight has been more or less the same, I thought since I started exercising daily that it would have gone down a bit, but then I remember the birthday treats I've eaten and I'm just glad I haven't put on weight ! Need to get a grip now and be sensible.

Time to move, been on the PC too long already, hope you all have a wonderful day.

    Love to all

Slow start to the month ... and no stairs!! I have a flight of 7 steps in the garden, so I guess if I wanted to, I could climb up and down and up and down those. A flight of stairs is 20 steps, so I could do those 7 steps 20 times to arrive at 7 flights. I have done that in the past, so I might do it again this month.

I also need to get rowing!

Luci - I do have to echo Okie and say that if I were in your position I would not be seeing any of your family including the baby. You and your husband are in the high risk category and should not be mingling with anyone else. I am not seeing my grandchildren and I am very healthy. Said with love. <3

Fabulous day, but I am staying indoors as per the government advice. I don't like being outside much anyway, unless I am walking or running. I am definitely an indoors kind of girl. DH will probably go in the garden. I will continue my rowing and watching a series online. I'm really enjoying it, so the exercise is a treat.

I hope to trim DH's hair with our new clippers, so we might do that outside. I've never done it before. :*
For my own hair, I had a trim just before the lockdown and I have one carton of hair dye left, so I will be doing that before long. I have an Amazon order in for another, but they are out of stock.

Might try to ring a friend.

I've not had a credit card bill this month, so it might have gone astray. I'm going to check my balance on the phone. I know I have a big bill for the cruise excursions, which I will get back eventually, but I always pay the whole balance every month. I will then be in credit and have to claim it back. :|

For those of us who are busy videoconferencing these days.

    This is quite helpful!

I tend to look like the lady in her first photo when I'm doing videoconferencing ... but she offers a lot of helpful suggestions to look less like I'm in some kind of horror film and more like a real person. :)
