Walking, jogging and cycling. My May didn't go quite as planned. I was up to my eyeballs in university assignments and just couldn't get out as much as I wanted. However, I've got one exam in June, then I'm off uni until mid-July so hopefully exercise will increase!

Allie, did you feel better when doing keto? How were your kidneys doing with that?
Rv Rita1 -
Margaret: My heart breaks for all of us.I saw the TV coverage and heard the man say repeatedly that he couldn’t breathe. There have been protests all over the county, including Portland, OR. There has also been rioting and looting in many places. Sad times for the USA. I wonder how much of this violence is caused by Corona virus restrictions that a confine and frustrate many, and how much of the violence is based on opportunism.3

I finished the jumpsuit I made for the Superintendent’s 10 month old. Funny though, the model is wearing it backwards! Had a good laugh about that!

Got cherries I need to use up soon so if I feel up to it will make muffins1 -
While I'm rowing in the afternoon I've been watching Jamie Oliver's Meat-Free Meals. The book to go with it is called Veg. I've asked my sister in law if she wants it for her birthday. Her boyfriend is vegetarian. The recipes look delicious!
My prawn and char grilled veg pasta dish was 'inspired ' said DH. Will definitely do it again.
Here's hoping all calms down soon for my US friends.
Sun still glorious. We didn't go anywhere near the beach. I think the family have been swimming 4 days running!
Love and peace to all. Watching repeat of Miss Marple tonight.

Yes Rita i did feel better doing keto..have to go back to it ,but will need to be away from dairy...dont think its kidneys give me issues at the moment but will.give the drs a ring tomorrow.
Well Jean is eeking out every possible minute she can away from here which gives me no time at all this weekend for much of anything..
It takes about 4 hrs to get home from the lake and she is taking her sweet time so all.she will.have to do is feed her mom and go to bed when she gets back.. all the rest of it is done..
Im feeling a bit off..upset stomach sipping on some water and i do have tea here so i can do that too..
I have most of my things packed in the car . And when she comes will go home, get my mail and go to bed and sleep off whatever is trying to wiggle its way in..4 -
Michele, you asked why no bulletins at church. We have been asked to not distribute anything because of the chance of transferring germs. No bulletins, no hymnals, no Pew Bibles. We’ve also removed the throw blankets and cushions that were in some of the pews. If you want a cushion for your back, you’ll have to bring it from home. No choir. No congregational singing. No passing of the peace (just a bow and a smile from behind a mask). I think we’re going to have to let the pastor preach unmasked however. We have too many with hearing impairments who depend on lip-reading. He should be far enough away that it won’t be a problem. He’s not the yelling, screaming type that would project particles a long way into the air.
Karen, I solved many a math problem in my sleep.
I can’t comment on the latest racial violence in our country. My heart just hurts too much to talk about it.

Amber I am so sorry!!!! It sounds like the same group who is causing havoc up here. Someone saw a man just like you described set a fire. There are cars of people with no plates or stolen plates who are causing some of the problems here. Last night the curfew was enforced and we did not have the problems. Yes there were some peaceful protesters what they do not understand is they are being used by this element that only wants to cause pain and destruction for their own agenda that has nothing to do with honoring George Floyd. I was cheering and clapping on how our state handled themselves. If someone was hurt it was because they were out past curfew. No one was killed. This is the reason to have police. To maintain order without loss of life. So proud of our state and city leaders, police, and national guard.
Many people came out the day of the destruction to start cleaning up. It is like our town was hit by a natural disaster except this was man made.
My prayers is this carries over tonight too. I am for another couple nights of curfew!4 -
Snowflake1968 wrote: »Lisa - I am so envious of your clothesline. I don’t understand why so many HOA’s, condo associations, etc do not allow clotheslines. I hope that one day all of this getting back to simpler times, better environmental impacts, etc will bring back the clothesline for summer at least. I do not like towels and jeans on the line though.
Kelly - Woohoo! Congratulations!
Katla - I bet you are right. Those “remember that time” memories are the best usually! You painted a pretty picture in my mind with your words.
Rebecca - I am as fussy as your son when he was young. I wouldn’t even drink the protein shakes. I don’t like anything resembling a milkshake. This is one of the reasons I can’t go to a nursing home. I am leaving explicit instructions for my girls. Although my youngest seems to know me very well. She does those “how well do you know your Mom” quizzes on Facebook and nails it every single time.
Amber - My grandchildren have learned to like some new food throughout this pandemic too. I feel this has really changed their little personalities. The first time we saw them a couple or three weeks ago they seemed more mature. The saddest though is that they give air hugs and air kisses now and stop to ask if they can hug me or come near me.
Michele - I had to stifle a giggle at Denise’s reaction to a gift for PJ with her birthday card. I know how she feels.
My Grandson was born on my birthday I’m 2011. In 2012 a parcel arrives from my parents to my house. I open this huge box that is filled with gifts for Jonah. My Mother had sent me a card and a newspaper as there was a picture of my nephew in it. I have complained about that ever since. I didn’t begrudge Jonah and he was their first great Grandchild to boot, but I do bring it up a lot. I think partially as that was my last birthday that my Dad was alive.
Last night our youngest came for a social distance visit. She visited on our deck that she helped build for 6 hours. It was so nice, she was talking about her fear and excitement of being first time home owners, told us the plans she has for decorating. It was just a beautiful visit and I shake my head at the remarkable young woman she is. So incredibly happy and has a husband that takes her feelings, needs and wants into consideration before any decisions are made. I am amazed at these two and so proud of them.
Today our eldest daughter and Grands came for a visit. My daughter and I worked on a part of a project that she wants for her house. She is making a command centre. It is going to have the weekly menu, chore charts for the kids, backpack space and inspirational quotes. I can’t wait to see it all come together. My eldest daughter has struggled all of her life to be tidy. She has always strived for it but if things get behind even one day it always seem to snowball on her. Since schools and stores closed she has been working her way through her house from top to bottom. She has all 3 bedrooms, the upstairs bath and hallway, the playroom and part of the living room finished and daily she tidies the ones she previously did. She seems to be more fun with the kids, not just the disciplinarian. Her husband is a wonderful man, but he is the fun parent and it has bothered her. Again I am so proud of her. I just had such a great evening and day that I can’t stop gushing. I am so blessed and grateful.
We are training our eldest Navy son, (that we room with), to care for us. We are being sneaky so he doesn't realize it.💖

Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD, good idea! I need to start buying those "onesies" prunes in individual packets, one a day like a vitamin! I think I said "Norwegian Lutheran" !💖

Lanette and Rebecca, that was a thriller for sure. I remember sitting in front of the tv well after the astronauts had gone to bed just staring at the lander and that flag. Spellbound for hours. I just had a really tough time digesting it.
It was a bit like when I went to a Martin Luther King Day celebration when my daughter was in 2nd grade. The kids were all holding hands and singing “We Shall Overcome”, and I burst into tears of joy as I saw many races all singing together and being friends in the classroom. All I could think of was how I’d see “I Have A Dream” come to pass. Of course we have devastating news like the rioting and that horrifying death, but I do know things have changed. I remember separate everything, and segregation of schools and voter suppression being a commonplace in the South

Hugs my fellow Washingtonian! The news is definitely disturbing, but just like any news these days, take it in, but don't mull it around too much. We have a group of extremists that are inserting themselves into peaceful protests in most every major city. They are not from the cities, nor do they represent the mindset of most Americans. Violence does not beget more violence. Its not a normal course of action. Have faith that we will all rise above this madness.💖 hugs!

Richmond will be under curfew from 8pm to 6am starting tonight. Looting, vandalism targeting police headquarters, police cars, GRTC bus, and local businesses. Perhaps the saddest was extensive damage done to an inner city dentist's office. All the windows smashed and much damage done to the building. Dr Adams, the dentist owner, has take care of an underserved population, especially children, for the last 30 years. It's senseless.7

My vertigo has made itself known again.😢 Just enough to make my head feel like its not attached!
I made a tortilla meal this morning. I had hit my 20 hr mark so I pretty much wanted to eat my arm off. I sauteed beef kielbasa sausage, taking it all out of the pan. I fried 3 whipped eggs and a handful of shredded cabbage. As it was frying, I added some diced tomatoes with sweet onions, and some black sliced olives. I turned it over so it wasn't runny or anything, adding some fresh spinach and put a lid on it to wilt it. I baked a hash brown patty in the oven and sliced it up. Plating it, I used the tortilla and put the egg mixture with spinach and a handful of sausage, then some hash brown down the sides. I sprinkled some Mexican shredded cheese and warmed it all in the microwave, and rolled it up. Then I promptly handed it to my Navy son that came into the kitchen!!! Haahaa! I ate a similar one an hour later. Sometimes I get so excited to eat, I just kinda turn off.
