@Tesha231 I don’t know of other health issues that create thirst. It is certainly something we could research. I usually drink at least a gallon especially when it gets as hot as it is this week but since I’m pretty much staying home, I have noticed my consumption is down - still drinking 3-4 quarts.2

7/6: 174.6, Off to a good start. I kind of expected to see a gain today after a big drop yesterday. It's been really hot, so I think I'm living in a state of dehydration right now despite all of the water I'm consuming. Of course, I've also bee hitting it pretty hard the past few days. Yea me!
7/7: 174.0. I guess I hit goal for this round, but I still think it may be an artificial low. I am taking it though. Happy me
7/8: 173.2 a loss going into my mini vacation is a bonus!
7/9: DNW Camping, but had tons of activity. Maybe it will counter balance the copious amount of booze I drink last night... Good on calories, not so good on nutrition.
7/10:DNW Camping, yesterday was a blast, but I’m plum tuckered out. Ray day today. Expect a slight gain after this trip.
7/11: 172.8, yahoo! A loss after my outing, hoped for but unexpected. I was more active than I was glutinous. Yea me!

@tiabirdie56 Tish, those all sound like a pinched nerve somewhere. Sheesh, some things about aging stink, don’t they? After trying to speak to physical therapy and leaving 3 messages (we’ll get back to you as soon as possible”) in 2 days, I finally called another location. The first appointment I could get is August 10! And, Young Lady, quit eating those grains!! 😁❤️0

Our 50th in May was certainly not what we wanted and planned but right after that he got very grumpy. I told a friend, “ We made it to 50 but HE might not make it to 50 + a week!” This COVID garbage is hitting him much harder than it’s hitting me. I’m a home body but he thinks he needs to get out an go somewhere every day.

7/6: 226.0 First day of getting back to strict tracking after a couple looser days produces a nice drop on the scale. Still feeling a little bloated, so we’ll see what happens in another day or two.
7/7: 227.0 Had a hefty late night snack around 1 AM, so I’m not surprised to see a bump despite technically being within my calories. Walked a ton but ate most of the calories back.
7/8: 226.0 Might have to cut back on exercise a bit today; I’ve been doing a lot for the last week and my body is sore. I hate to do it because of the Apple Watch challenge I’m in, but I think I need a light day.
7/9: 224.8 Another drop and a new 5-pound mark. Probably be up a bit tomorrow - gotta recognize the low fluctuations as much as the high ones - but I’ll take it for today, and get back to it for real soon.
7/10: 225.6 Very snack-y day yesterday. Half expected this to be higher, really.
7/11: 225.6 Happy to have held even. Pot roast and mashed potatoes at my parents’ house and had two plates - one of those meals that won’t hurt you every now and then but adds on the pounds if you make a habit of it!

Too busy for planned exercise, not enough water and little to no sleep but at least the diet was on point and the scale rewarded me a bit for that! Good luck everyone this round. 07/77 …..208.6 ….. A small cheeseburger from McDonald’s with water. It tasted like a salt shaker (again). I forgot how salty!!!! Wow how my tastebuds have changed. This is probably fluid retention. Tomorrow will tell.

Growing up so poor, it is not always easy for me to throw away food or not finish what is on my plate, so I call this a NSV for me. I am trying to learn that it is okay to be full and not need to eat more just because it’s not all gone yet. Today I will try to get the scale back down and drink more water too.

07/06: 184.4 Wow, I really did a number on myself. Went on a full fledged binge and gained 5 pounds since Friday morning!! Some of it is salt/water of course, but 5 pounds!! And I feel horrible. Bloated, stomach cramps.
07/07: 184.4 Still overate again. Not as bad as Saturday/Sunday but not yet back to my healthy eating. I had stopped writing in my journal or planning my day—stepped completely away from accountability. Well I’m back now. With work to do!
07/08 184.8 Wow, I really didn’t think you could gain 5 pounds in 3 days of real weight. But this is sticking around. I ate much better today, got some exercise...and I’m up even higher now! I still have to be gentle with myself today, getting restrictive and punitive will be counterproductive but I am sad. But I have my plan for today, including snacks, so hopefully I can gently lead myself back to the path of health.
07/09 184.0 At least it’s in the right direction. Last time I weighed this much was 31 days ago—I wiped out a full month of progress with one weekend. 😭 But I was successfully back on plan again yesterday, ate green, tracked, journaled, exercised. There’s no true end date to this work so I have to just keep at it.
07/10 182.6 Forgot to post this morning, even with a “good” number. Happy scale still shows red under the curve (first time I’ve gained enough and it stuck enough that it turned red). But going in the right direction.
07/11 181.0 Yay! Sodium is working it’s way out, I’m on my way down. Happy Scale is now green again (though my average is 2 pounds higher). Now to be intentional with my eating today, don’t “weekend it”.

@Tesha231 and @quiltingjaine For sure the diabetes has the Most to do about my excessive thirst. However, I have been sweating so profusely due to higher than normal temps in much much longer stretches of time than I am accustomed to. No AC in my home and in my very rural area generally. Mid 80's are summer typical but it has been way worse lately. I think I am losing a lot of fluid sweating as I make it through the summer tourist season in my business. I have been burning 3500 to 4000 calories per day if my newer fitbit is to be believed. There is More Water on the agenda for me again today. I just hope this heat wave subsides.4

07/08 - 58.1kg, feeling better, eating the right foods is so important when calories are limited, 14,000 steps yesterday

Non-alcoholic so that's ok. Last Friday I came in at 212.2. So I am little bummed plus I am sleep deprived. Forecast calls for rain today and tomorrow. Somebody stop me!!!!
