    This way of thinking implies that all the men who are in long term relationships are arseholes and not nice.

    Seems more like sour grapes to me, i.e. guys who didn't get the woman he wanted, rather than accepting that she just wasn't attracted to him, he prefers to believe that all the guys who did get women are arseholes and women are only attracted to arseholes not nice guys like him.

    Funny how nearly all the men I've met in my life who are in long term relationships are nice guys, and in a happy relationship with their equally nice girlfriend or wife (or occasionally another nice guy).

    Also, being nice doesn't entitle you to have women fall in love with you. Being nice is a basic thing like good personal hygiene that all decent human beings do. You may as well be saying "I take a shower every day and I smell nice, why do women friendzone me?"
