Later, y'all,
Love,

Today's feast was chicken broth, a baby bok choy chopped, a microwavable small container of wild rice, 2 oz of roasted chicken pieces, a slab of grainy bread, with Irish butter (cut with a cheese cutter😁). It was heavenly! Dessert was 5 pieces of York peppermint patties with coffee.💖
There is a huge spider on our garage door. I hope he just stays there!

Tom called me ,poor Homer honestly vless his littke heart is on his last legs.. so i picked him up while Tom was doing lawn and took Alfie and Homer to dog park a couple towns away.. we were there for about 1/2 hr and they had s blast smellimg all over.. then i stopped at DQ and got them a plain hamburger and a pupcup..
Took it back to Toms and fed Homer some of the ice cream he ate a bit of the burger..
So that was earlier, so Tom got a little more in him tonight.. here is hoping he makes it through the weekend..

Allie I’m sorry about Homer. I hope you enjoy the time you have left with him. Sounds like you gave him a great doggie quality day with a smelling expedition followed by burger and pupcup.

Lisa - you are enjoying retirement so much. I worry about it, but I think it’s because of the financial aspect of it.
Allie - I hope Jean finds more help for Faith. There are good home care professional organizations out there.
Lanette - All of my pants are getting uncomfortable. We discussed this at work yesterday. One lady had worked hard the last couple of years to lose 100 lbs. she said she doesn’t understand what it is but right now she wants all the comfort food, the fatter and greasier the better. I sort of feel the same way. I’ll do good for a couple days but then want the junk again. I think it’s the mood of the world.
Suzi - what a beautiful sunrise.
Kim - I laughed out loud at your VP story. I have a boss with a Masters that is not smart either. I think there is a difference between street smart and book smart and I would much prefer working with street smart. I’m glad she saw things your way.
I wish there was a way in MFP to save a particular post like there is on FB. I see things I want to try or look closer at and then have trouble finding it when I have time.
My balance has been poor for a few years now due to my hips. They keep locking up. I have exercises I have to do for them.
Another interesting workday, I’ve added more to my list of concerns. Last summer we were short staffed for certified healthcare aides. My daughter is certified and was looking for some casual work at the time. I was told by my Supervisor (who is also the HR lady) that since I do payroll my daughter couldn’t be hired as it would be a conflict of interest. My Supervisor is my backup for payroll and has access to everything I do. Today she hired her son. It is just another example of the favouritism that occurs there on a regular basis.
I’m glad it’s Friday and I only worked two days this week.

So the 4 exercises I was fine with. Beat all the numbers. Eyes closed one leg stand 21 seconds on right leg after a wobbly start. 10 seconds on left. 34 stand/sits in 60 seconds (BTW-my thighs are going to hurt tomorrow-lol) I need to work on eyes closed balance.
I am 57, 5'2", and 115lbsWas a LONG DAY at work. Donovan (my son in law) stayed home with his kids today. Steve got pissy, but D hasn't taken any time off since this mess started. I told D to take off. He needed a break. Steve and I have taken off two days since March (one was to Detroit for doctor appt). Dana, well, even today, she left at 4 even though we were busy all day. Basically she left me alone. Yes, my husband was there, but since he can't see well, it leaves most on my shoulders. Grrrrrrr! We may lose Donovan if something doesn't change. If that happens we may not be open much longer. Kenny use to bill out 12-14 hrs a day. Since his ministries, he is lucky to clear 5 hrs. He wont help up front and can't hear to talk on phone. I can't wait in customers, work on mowers, do paperwork, and solve problems. Dana does the books, but sucks at the rest. Vacation better be good. I am tired.
I think I am heading to bed.
Hugs and prayers for all!

Can you hire someone who is not in the family? Even someone part time?3 -

Hi all - I just found this thread! August is half over, but I hit the restart button this past week with a goal of losing 45 pounds by end of May 2021.
My metabolism isn't what it used to be, so I'm not sure 1.1 lbs a week is attainable, but I'm gonna give it a shot. Our son is getting married this next summer and I'd like to look my best for the occasion. My daughter and I are doing this together as she has the same goal.
I just started walking again (hip arthritis has prevented) and starting Monday will incorporate some weight training. I have gained a lot of weight in my upper arms and I'm expecting major bat wings as I lose weight. I'm hoping that arm exercises will help a little.
Glad I found you!7 -

Reduce anxiety with these 7 simple changes to your home

I'm on top of 2-7 for the most part, but one of my goals for when I'm finished my degree is "simple change" number 1!
But I have to say, I love the look and colours of this bedroom ...
