Well Steven is doing IF weekdays, so I guess I will jump in. I'm going to try an eating window of nine to five, so I guess that's 8:16. Somebody has to explain this change in morning routine to my dog, who normally eats after me.

Machka I think, asked about shoes. I have shoe shelves under my hanging clothes where I store my everyday shoes with no boxes just lined up on the shelves. My dressier shoes are stored in their boxes on the top shelf of my closet.
Michele, no the clothes don’t fall over when you take some out. If I take one from the middle, I just slide the ones left in the drawer together. Now the really silky tanks, panties, and socks do need more structure. That’s why I use the dividers.
Bananas mentioned shelves, as opposed to drawers for folding clothes. I have those in my closet for sweaters and jeans. I stack those clothes the traditional way. Some people use a container and file the clothes vertically in the container. To me, that is too much trouble. What I like is to be able to see the clothes at first glance. That’s why I like vertical in a drawer, horizontal on a shelf.
Honestly, I would prefer hanging all my shirts and tanks, but our closets are small.

Tracey – yes, they are getting special funding for cleaning. But I wasn’t told that I would ONLY be cleaning. I do have a number for using the register (to open it) and have been checking people out. When I first go in, I totally expect to clean things. But after an hour or so, there is just so much you can clean. And I’m only supposed to be cleaning in the front of the store. Well, most days I clean and then work on the register when it gets busy. But the monkey-monk has to see me only cleaning. That’s OK. Lovely family

Today was a day... sooo i have told you that my son has mental health issues ,so im picking him up tomorrow and will bring him here and do his laundry..
I bought him new sheets,a new pair if pants, new socks and underwear and a new pillow..
I have a key to his place and i went to drop the stuff off, there on his table was a 7-8 page last will and testament.. i grabbed it and took it with me as i had to go to my friends memorial.. fanastic turnout for that everyone was masked ..but i was freaking out so after the service i stopped to see my ex,his dad and let him read it..now he has had his own mental health issues but we as Dans parents have to be a united front.. i only read the first paragraph, I was sick to my stomach. Rich read the whole thing..suggested I call the drs office to make an appointment..called and since he isnt an established patient, they really couldnt do anything.. receptionist spoke to nurse and said either dial 911 or if he isnt totally off to call 211 and have a clinician come see him..so after my drs appt i went and stopped to tell Rich what they told me and then i went to see Dan....
He said i shouldnt be reading his stuff and it was just scribble and he wasnt going to do anything rash..
But i told we all love him and want him healthy mentally and physically and he said he would think about it.. so when i pick him up i am going to have him call and make an appointment for a physical.. and start there..
I was a mental basketcase after all this today.

Self Care September
29: 3 things I appreciate about me: cheerful, grateful, fair to middlin’ honest.
Cooler today so was able to dink around in the yard for a couple of hours.
Katla I dare not use the self cleaning function in my oven. Last time it woke Joe up thinking the house was on fire and boy, was he mad!
Lanette Why not all three? We could be watching you on TV with Brad P…, uh er Dr. Fauci then on the Weather Channel then on National Geographic
Machka rest = nap, recreation = line dancing (don’t’ have a pic but here’s one from Scottish dancing days-I'm the short one with her back to the blue plaid) , beach walking (see profile pic). Back in the day my BFF and I spent every New Years at Yosemite. Some of my fondest memories. This was taken on my 30th bday: Julie hope you feel better soon. There is just too much doggoned fatigue going around.
Tracey great family pic!

(((Allie))): I hope all works out well. Being a mom isn’t for sissies. You are doing a great job.
I have Halloween decorations up. Yay!!! Now I need to buy treats for potential trick or treaters. I don’t expect more than a few. Trick or treat is a month away, but our town celebrates Halloween every day in October. Festivities will be under way on 10/01.
Friday, 10/2 is the day my dog will have surgery for cancer on his backside. I hope for the best. He’s a sweet dog and I would like to have lots more time with him. We have an excellent veterinarian. Keeping my fingers crossed and sending prayers for a good outcome.

Tracey - Lovely pics!
Allie - I send hugs and hope he can open up to some help.
I lived a long way away from my son when he was in a poor way with anxiety and depression. I visited him a few times, but I think it was good for me that I couldn't see it close up every day. It hurts so much. I worried at a distance, but he eventually pulled it around. Getting his two greyhounds really helped him through the worst. Now I see him flourishing. You are a loving and caring mother.
Going to get my phone sorted today. Can't decide whether to put the screen protector on. I will take it with me and ask the man in the shop.

As we come to the end of September, I'll ask ...
What does R&R (rest and relaxation) mean to you?
Sleep? Exercise? Hobbies? Meditation? Other?
Do you have a photo that would be the picture of R&R for you?

My mother's response ...
Not "having" to do "something."
How very true!!

Allie You did the right thing. If he is over 21 you will not know what is going on with him medically unless he signs the form giving you permission to know. This does not stop you from calling his medical care and giving the information you know about him just know they will tell you absolutely nothing. Call the suicide prevention hot line to give you help if you think he is considering this step. Sometimes we need to intervene when someone does not want help to save their life. Be kind to yourself as you go through this.2

Machka: You live in a beautiful place. It looks like a great place for walking.: star: The house in your picture is very appealing.
Margaret: I hope we don’t have a hacker. I’ve heard stories of Chinese hackers trying to hack into private computers to gain access to financial information. I don’t have any financial information on my computer. :noway:
I can see Mars in the sky this morning. Amazing! It is 5:30 am as I type.

My current downsized nylon/spandex underwear and sports beach bikini drawer. I stack mine like this because everything in a pile is the very same thing. I take my daily choice off the top and put the washed and clean garments on the bottom. I have a 3 panty to 1 bra ratio. I wear my bras for 3 days unless it gets sweaty. Bottoms are changed each day, sometimes twice should an incident requiring such occur. Yes, I am old and boring and love my black bottoms and beige bras with the occasional black bra just to shake things up in my underwear but love my earth tone browns in my sports beach bikinis. I have a new custom racerback banded sports swim bra in a brown color called clay on order. It will pair with the brown, banded bottoms for my morning workout. I like the freedom of movement that such a scant coverage affords. I just found it yesterday and gave away the gray "pewter" one (I just bought) to a friend's granddaughter. She has leggings to match and it looks amazing on her. She is a lifeguard and yoga instructor.
Here are just a few of the nylon/spandex fitness garments I had from age 60 to 68. Before cancer surgery, I gave away over 300 pieces clearing 4 drawers. All these pieces, some in several colors, went to younger more fit bodies. I still have several pair nylon/spandex straight-leg wide waistband pants and a matching nylon/spandex jacket and they hang nicely in my closet. I no longer have nylon/spandex tank tops and shorts. I wasn't going to wear them, so off they went in my big give away. I made the nylon/spandex mini beach skirt in this photo and did actually wear it to the beach where a young lady begged me to make her one or sell it. I took it off and she tried it on and it fit perfectly so I gifted it to her. It is on me (age 65) in the photo with a top I made. Notice the waist fat roll I was still working off at that point. I am about 160 lbs in this photo, down from 201.
I must admit I feel better downsizing and not spending so much time trying to decide what to wear under every day or solo for my workout or beach activities.
