@shanaber Thanks for the info on Rheumatic fever sounds like an awful experience. I did not know all of that. I'm glad it is rare these days, but sorry that you still have to be extra careful about contracting strep and have lingering issues. Sounds like you are doing all you can to make sure you are healthy. Great run in the heat. Poor Hobbes sounds like my Tippy. If it's hot, she wants inside where it is air conditioned. Love the painted rocks.

@marisap2010 Nice spot for a run!

    October miles: 16.9
    Space Race miles: 205.76

I took the weekend off because my body decided it needed to recuperate. I also caught up on my sadly forsaken housework! Back at it this morning with a 5.1 mile run in the cool temps. Ahhhh.

Please add me to the run across the world. Sounds fun! I haven't really had a running injury except for the spill I took last year and the resulting skinned knee that would make any 3rd grader jealous. It took months to heal properly because of the size and location. I kept breaking the scab and starting all over. Ugh.

Hi, I'd like to join this one. I'm trying for 20 miles. I'm a new runner so I'm starting small. I've already done 2 miles since the 1st. I'll be going tomorrow. I'm hoping to hit a little over 2 miles.

    Welcome!!
