Sorry for missing the last week and for my progress. I went out of town for some stress relief and soul searching. I'm back and I hope things are better going forward. This community has great people and I'm glad to be a part of it.2 -

Past week's successes: Completed 100 mile walking goal for August! Otherwise it was a lazy week. Did not swim since the lap pool was closed for maintenance. Need better meal planning since I’m basically looking in the freezer and thawing what I already have as leftovers and not fixing many fresh veggies.
This week's challenges: None but those in my head as well as a weekend at the fishing camp 🎣 where exercise is more of a challenge as well as eating and drinking. My goal is not to gain weight when going to the camp this year.

Past week's successes: Swam biked walked but I included lots of carbs in the meal plans for the week and drank more diet cokes instead of water.
This week's challenges: RAIN with Tropical Storm Nicholas so walking and swimming might be a challenge. But no excuses I need to sit down and plan meals and execute better. Also focus on WATER.

I uh, skipped a few weeks of updates, LMAO. I'm a little bit behind schedule but that's OK. I've shifted focus a little bit to add a strength-training goal (I'm gonna crush a pumpkin with my mighty legs, I made a thread about it in Challenges if you want to follow my progress - Crush Day is Spooktemberween 10/31/21), but I think after I finish that challenge I'll shift focus back to mostly cardio for the rest of the year. I still think I can make Onederland by the end of 2021, and I'll be happy with that, although my goal for the year is 196.1 -

Good morning, everybody! I am looking to start this weight-loss journey *again* after gaining/losing for many years. (long story...more on that later?) Anyway, I was looking for a challenge group that I used to belong to here a couple of years ago; it started up every 3 months. This group is the closest I've been able to find.
I hope it's ok if I join, even at this late date...but I want to LOSE this weight that I've been carrying around since the pandemic; maybe, with any luck, I'll be able to KEEP it off this time. I've done it before; I can do it again.

There is a 100 day challenge (approximately 3 months) that just started up again for Oct 22 - Jan 29. I participate it in along with this because I need multiple check points! I love the weekly challenge for 52 weeks ... it lets me see if I'm on track and a view of my progress for the year (that I've not stepped away or got lost during the year). But the shorter challenges let me focus on short term goals.
Good luck on getting back into the groove of losing!

Thank-you, LilyLady! I appreciate the help...as it turns out I actually joined that group 2 years ago & completely forgot about it! I guess I must've gotten busy/distracted/lazy...you name it?!
Anyway, I will keep track of myself (and hopefully, my progress) both there AND here in this group.
It's always nice to know that I'm not alone...even tho' it sometimes feels that way...
