Day 56: Rest day π
Oh I'm needing this today! My quads are tight from all of yesterday's efforts π it's great though and paid off because I'm done another 3lbs this morning - delighted!!
I'm going to get a good walk in to help ease my legs and so I'll back to fighting form tomorrow. Have a great Monday everyone π1 -
Rest is super important. Do you have a foam roller? It hurts while doing it but you feel better after. Same with an ice bath for your feet..torture, then relief.

Defo take your rest. But yeah, doing it a second time over could be really cool. Especially comparing yourself against last time!
I used to put my own music on whilst working out once I knew the moves... that could switch it up for you.0 -

Hi @bebeisfit π I don't have a foam roller but I will definitely check it out - I actually found an article online that said to roll a towel, then lie on it just under the shoulder blades with your arms out. Omg what a difference! It was sore to do, but I lay for about five minutes and my back feels so much better, it totally eased the muscles π Woo an ice bathπ₯Ά I've never been brave enough for this - yet π I may need to take the plunge on that one π¬0 -

Hi @skinnyrev2b Yup that's me decided this morning, I'm going to take a week off and then do it all again πͺπ¬ there is so much I want to improve on in this program, so another round it is!! ππ€£ Why am I excited?! π€―1 -
Day 57: Max Interval Plyo. Done πͺ
Oh I didn't feel very powerful today π (I didn't fuel properly yesterday π) BUT I pushed play and went for it!
I wanted to try something different for the push ups today (seen as I have always struggled with them) - I saw a clip of a woman showing how to do 'negative push ups', so normal push up position but when you go down, you go all the way to the floor, then knees down and push back up (when going down, stay controlled, not falling and keeping core / back strong). Well OMG this worked my arms better - I could barely put my hair up for work this morning after doing my push ups like this π€£ I'm going to stick with this as I will definitely progress better starting with this form - a good wee find!
The rest of the workout was great, side push ups are still a work in progress but I really gave it some wellie and was suitably wrecked by the end of it πππ

Fantastic! Yeah, I always struggle with push ups too (I have really girly arms. Like, pathetic arms!) so I've been trying counter top push ups, but I like the sound of the negative ones too. Might have to do a mixture!
Hurt my shoulder with bad form on some resistance band arm raise/crunches the day before yesterday. Should really be on it again today, but think instead I'll stick with my errands-on-my-bike for the cardio, my usual walks and some gentle yoga this eve.
Hope you're able to do more with your arms as the day goes on!1 -

ππ€£ Yip me too on the 'pathetic arms' π but definitely a woke in progress! I would definitely recommend these negative ones, absolutely working the muscles that need to be built πͺ
What a shame about your shoulder, it's so annoying when the body doesn't play ball π I hope you heal quickly, sounds like you've got plenty other exercise on the cards though π

Day 58: Insane Abs and Max Cardio Conditioning. Done πͺ
I'm finally getting used to doing workouts at different times of the day (π€£ it's only taken 58 days π), I find there are benefits to the 'first thing workout' - get it out the way, but if I workout mid shift or after work I tend to eat better. I think for the next round I'll definitely not be dreading the different workout times as much, but enjoy the mix up π
Today's workouts were definitely an improvement π₯ I was able to do more of the abs routine, my core is getting so much stronger! And I really pushed on the cardio routine so I was suitable wrecked by the end - I was struggling with the last set of tuck jumps, so did single leg lifts instead - my body was like 'nope, no more jumps' π
Looking forward to tomorrow, my last Max Interval Circuit on the round π± Ready to smash it!! ππ₯2 -

Another mid shift workout - this is becoming a bit of regular thing now but I'm starting to enjoy the metal challenge of forcing myself to workout later π€£ what's happened to me!
I smashed it again today, I love this workout, I can really go for it and this was the last time for this one π± I'm an absolute mess, definitely dug deeper! π1 -

Thanks @dolorsit I'm very excited for the final results! It will actually be day 63 results for the final fit test, weigh in and measurements, I've never been more excited for a Monday morning - also quite scared of the numbers I have to beat in the last fit test π¬ it's going to be tough but I'm ready to give it all I have πͺπ₯1 -

I've been doing insanity because of this thread. I've been struggling with it a bit to be honest but I really want to finish. I've just started the second month and it's just getting harder, I seem to be getting worse at push ups particularly. Yesterday I could only manage 2 push-up jacks (I did 17 in the fit test). I wonder if I'm overdoing it? Should I take a few days off maybe?2 -

Hi @oryx14641 oh thats brilliant, congratulations on reaching month two! I can only say from my own experience that if you feel you need an extra rest day then take it. I'm with you on the push up struggle, they are tough and definitely something I still need to improve on. I'd say if you are in pain, take a rest day but if it muscle soreness it should ease as you get moving. Don't let this beat you though, push through and do what you can, you'll be at day 60 before you know it! You've got this! All the best!2 -

It's not that I'm all that sore it's more that my arms just won't work, they feel weak. I'm supposed to do max recovery today and all those press ups, I don't know... I might actually be doing more harm than good at this point. I think I'll give myself a rest day today and pick it up tomorrow.

I'm the same with the recovery workouts the push ups are tough! Have you tried the negative push ups? Maybe an idea for tomorrow. Enjoy the rest day you've earned it!0 -
Day 60 π±ππ: Max Interval Sports Training. Done πͺ
Well I can't quite believe I'm at day 60! Today's workout was great, I definitely did more of the core work (thanks to max abs) and I definitely managed more of the gymnastics set. I noticed a real improvement on this one this morning πprogress is still happening and even though this is the last time on this one for this round, I'll be back to it πͺ It's one of the main reasons I'm set for doing another 63 days, I know I've got it in me to manage more, my muscles just need more time to get there.
Another great workout this morning.

Well done! I like the accountability and support that comes from posting progress on here. I am so tempted to give this a go. I suppose it doesn't matter when you do the sets? For me it would work better doing it early evening rather than morning. Again will done and good luck for Mondays results1

Me too! Posting each day has really kept me focused and on track - the comments really spur me on too, so thanks again!
You should definitely go for it, the results are worth it!
I've had to mix it up weekly re: when I can fit it in with my work schedule and it's been tough to get my head around exercising at different times, but again a good challenge!
I'll be starting a second round of insanity (π€£ it's so well named!) on Monday the 22nd if you'd like to join.

I'm in awe of you all! Really tempted to join you... but at the same time, I want to get back to swimming every other day as soon as the pools are open, and am trying to cycle/resistance band workout more too... so many exercise options!1

You got me onto looking at more dance workouts for next week and I found Sharona Hill dance workouts on YouTube - they look like so much fun! Definitely be having a dance to the greatest showman soon!1 -

Again I'm noticing improvements! I managed more of the floor hops in the warm up - these wreck me π° and I worked so hard on the negative push up alternatives (I'm surprised my neighbours didn't call an ambulance with the noises I was making π€£). I'm prepared to not be able to use my arms for the next hour or so π
Another great workout and only Max Cardio Conditioning, Max Abs and a fit test to go π± What a journey!

I'm going to fuel right today, get good quality rest and get my head in the game to give myself the best possible outcome (considering popcorn and profiteroles π€£) Wish me luck! π¬

Good luck! And hold on to the numbers you've beaten in the workouts,and the energy you feel. Don't put too much emphasis on the scales nor on the last fitness test - that's only two of the metrics...1
