Allie: It looks like we’re getting our second vaccinations on the same day! No doubt that you will get yours hours before we will get ours due to time zone differences. Won’t it be great to see friends and do things together after all of these months?
Heather: We watched Miss Marple on Public TV for years. Loved her! We still watch the Great British Bake Off on Public TV. Your elder son and our son were born in the same year & they currently wear similar haircuts. I don’t think our son has a beard just now.
Okiewoman: I hope the well company gets the job done for you today. Nothing I can think of is more important than clean & safe water.

Katla - The only Miss Marple I didn’t like was Geraldine McEwan. She was badly miscast I think. Joan Hickson was the best. Julia McKensie is pretty good.
DH is doing his latest jigsaw - The Human Body. So far he's done, Flags and Capitals of the World, The Periodic Table, The Tree of Life, The United States of America and now this. It’s to help us with our TV quizzes.

Today we get our second shot. Almost everyone at Book Club had already had two. I am the only one that actually had the virus.
Beth- thanks for sharing about your son’s service and the outpouring of love your family has received.
Tomorrow the mask mandate will be lifted and businesses can return to 100% capacity. I am sure some businesses will still
Require masks. I have seen more people without masks in grocery store already.
Welcome Christine in NY.

So far, so good, as far as calories this morning. It's the evenings that get me though.
I did Teddy's flea and tick, and helped arrange my Dad's prescription. So I have four hours of free time until dumbbell exercise at four. I'd like to go for a walk but my legs are still sore from last time. There's a little muscle outside my shin that hurts. Then the bursitis and some longer streaks of pain. I am so out of shape I only walked a quarter mile. Soon it will be pollen season and I'll be indoors again anyway.

Hi all! Check a quick hello! Flower I saw yesterday in spoiler.

The CDC guidelines for what people can do safely after being vaccinated is much more restrictive than most people seem to think. We don't plan to do anything different until a whole lot more people are vaccinated and the incidence of new cases drops to nearly zero. Our county has the highest vaccination rate in our whole state.
One of the possible side effects of the second vaccine in swollen underarm lymph nodes so when I made my appointment for my annual mammogram, the scheduler made sure it was several weeks after my second shot so if I had swollen lymph nodes they wouldn't show up as a concern on the mammogram.

Well i walked and did my PT,but having an issue with a bloody nose,so i have tissue stuck in my nose and lying down so it stops very hard with the Coumadin..finally got the coumadin regulated so i dont have to go every week ,i go in 2 weeks..0

Couldn't agree with you more! We are not changing anything! Glad to see we are not the only ones waiting. Also the same regarding the mammogram. Mine is in August.
My daughter and I should both be fully vaccinated by mid April. The hubs is on a waiting list at Walmart. He's not in any of the current groups yet however they will call you if it comes to throwing away expiring doses.

Welcome @cfeege Christina NY. Have you taken your measurements or noticed your clothes fitting better? There’s more to health than the number on the scale imho…
Rita you’ve got this. Any class would be lucky to have you for a substitute teacher. Your kindness and wit shine through.
Sue in WA amen to mud season. No mares here but our long haired sky ecstatically rolls in mud, sand and anything stinky. Ugh.
Rebecca that throw sounds like the love was knit into every loop.
KJ safe travels, joyful time.
Allie good for you. Sleep is what heals.
Lisa 3 plumbing septic lectures? Admire your grace.
SuebDew and Flea “breathe the fat back into our body” Oh nooooh!!!
Beth I really wish there was a way you could appeal the FB server’s decision to pull the livestream of your son’s service. Would love to watch it.
Flea would you post a pic or link of the “how are you, please. Open the door” bell? Have almost taught Shadow to press the doorbell instead of “digging” on the slider when she wants in, but its just a little too high for her to reach.
Tracey, Okie, Rebecca and Debbie, I’m a little envious of your “spitting image” comments. When I found my bio-mom and half sisters, was a little disappointed to find no physical resemblance. They are tall, slender, softspoken, gentle and my half sisters are 6 ft redheads with china blue eyes. At 4’10-1/2”, 145 lbs, loud, snappish with brown hair and hazel eyes, I must take after whoever the bio-sire was. I’ve considered Ancestry.com to confirm my guess, but hesitate as I doubt his legitimate daughters would take kindly to learning of my existence.
Barbie why is haggis illegal in the US? Not that I have any interest in eating a sheep’s stomach stuffed with oatmeal and spiced offal…
Michele “looking forward to Sunday when we turn the clocks ahead” not me. It always takes me weeks to adjust to the change, even now that I don’t have to be anywhere at a specific time since retirement and pandemic staying at home.
Heather, I admire your longing to feel like a family again, but "all the squabbles and noise" would make me twitch.
Machka you almost look scared of that birthday cake
Whoo eee BIG flashes of lighting and MONSTER rumbles of thunder brought pounding hail, refreshing the air.

Well paid our tax lady today. We pretty much get a refund from one the same amount as the other we pay. So we are only out the fee we pay her to make everything hunkydory. She's our one tie to the wee city of Warrenton, OR, and she treats us really well. I get a pretty folder with all the i's dotted and t's crossed math wise.
The other day I made a great quesadilla for son and I. I poured the 3 egg mixture in the pan. Then when it was set and a wee bit dry on the top, I put the flour tortilla on it. Then I turned it over. Easy peasy! The egg omelet is fused to the tortilla. Turned the heat down , sprinkled breakfast sausage bits, a cut up hash browns patty, and farmstyle cut shredded cheddar cheese Tillamook puts out. Oh and dots of hot sauce. Then I folded it in half like a huge taco. The outside was browned nicely. Son loved it!
Mine was less of everything, but I did put tomatoes and had some blobs of sour cream.
Today is leftover kielbasa sausages, baby potatoes, and zucchini that I had made last week. I put a portion in the freezer for me. I will add it to some chicken stock I made yesterday. Along with a serving of wild rice.
Last night I sauteed two steaks for Lee and Galen, and Lee prepared the two baked potatoes. I made green beans too. Now I have their potato skins leftover in a big container. Really only thing I think to do with them. Cut them up into bite size pieces, add cheddar cheese. What do you ladies do with your leftover baked potato skins? If I was eating it #1 there wouldn't be leftover skins, lol! But neither guys eat the skins!
Pretty much used to my glasses now, no headaches or wonky stomach.👍. Going down the stairs can be tricky though. I just can't look down too far.
Hugs to the ladies that need them!
Birthday hugs to the gals that had a birthday or will this month. (You know a birthday celebration lasts the whole month right)? I DECLARE IT!
Oopsy I yelled that.💕

Rebecca--beautiful blankets, thanks for sharing. People took the time to do such beautiful lasting work. I am working on knitting baby blankets for several expecting great grandbabies and neices and church. Helps me relax and get a lot done when riding in the car.
About time to get ready for monthly management meeting. Long and I work hard to stay awake.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND NE Where it is almost 80 degrees today. Cool down starts in a couple day.1 -
Quite pleased with myself in that I managed to leave some of the cauliflower cheese for tomorrow lunch. I could easily have eaten it all, but the calories are terrifying. I will really enjoy it tomorrow. Totally delicious.
AF again today. Three days in a row.
I wish DH would consider genetic testing. He has no idea who is his father is. He doesn't want to do it.
At the moment I am trying to let the idea of booking a cruise for next year ferment in his brain. He seemed interested. He is worried about his vestibular problems and the necessity to pee often at night. No fun if it's stormy.

Oakie in TX: I hope the well company is able to complete the task of putting in a new pump for your well in one day. Sending good thoughts your way. :flowerforyou:
(((Pat C OH))): I hope the surgeon can help.
I stocked up on frozen brussels sprouts, fresh broccoli & fresh carrots. DH wanted corned beef this evening. He used to love corned beef and cabbage, but he can’t eat cabbage the way he was brought up. I hope the substitutes don’t upset his tummy. I know the broccoli won’t bother him but I’m not sure about the brussels sprouts.
We had our first vaccinations at the end of February. Our next vaccinations will be at the end of March. I am looking forward to receiving them. I hope for a better spring and summer for all of us.

It is cold and raining here.
I have about 3 pounds of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced thin, simmering in some simple syrup. The house smells so good. When it is ready(tender), it will go in the dehydrator to make candied ginger. I eat a lot of it for my stomach and got tired of buying it(expensive to me) and was using my dehydrator for other things (mango, pineapple, persimmons, apples, persimmon fruit leather,) I did some ginger infused pineapple, simmering the pineapple in the syrup after the ginger. Oh MY GOODNESS, that is so good. I will be picking up another pineapple this week to do again with this syrup. Then, with the syrup that is left after that, I have put it in a little jar and add a teaspoon to my tea in the morning- SO good. I have a bunch of apples so may try to infuse them with ginger. Making a lot so I can share it again. Have had a few requests from people who got some for Christmas. Love using the dehydrator that was my grandma's.

This is the brownie recipe. I don't put the walnuts in because the grandchildren don't like them. I don't serve them with chocolate sauce.
They are calorie bombs and expensive to make, but absolutely heavenly.

that is very cool. Don't think our dog would have figured it out- she had an electronic collar/doggy door- when she walked by it, it opened then closed right behind her(no critters coming in like with a regular dog door). We only had one cat that figured out how to stand right by her and run out when she was going out or coming in.
Having that dog door was great- no more getting up in the middle of the night a few times a night(of course, no one else heard the dog scratching on the sliding glass door but me).

That sounds really easy. My husband does the potatoes and that involves a stick of margarine I swear! I think if I made Lee change the way he makes them, his head would implode.😂😂 lol

Hi ladies!
I just came across this board and I'm loving your sweet community and all the support that you give each other!
I've been on MFP for over 6 years and have had some great success but also have now gone up in my weight and having a horrible time getting it back off. I'd love any non-bare-bottomed friend requests and I hope to also keep checking in on this forum!
Have a wonderful day!!

Lorri from So CA: Welcome!
I spent the past half hour riding my tryke on its trainer in the garage and reading a book. I enjoyed every minute and did a good job burning caloires. This evening I will be attending a committee meeting. Everyone will be wearing masks or participating via ZOOM.
