Michele: My mom loved jigsaw puzzles, too. She had a puzzle out on her kitchen table nearly all the time. :flowerforyou:

Tracey: We have a house telephone set that has phones in several rooms. We put them in for our data service, and they seem to attract MANY nuisance calls. :grumble: Our personal phones are iphones. We can block unwanted callers on them if necessary. :star:

Allie: Our sweet old dog has his bed on the floor beside my side of the bed. He is not welcome in the bed. :noway: Long years ago we had a wonderful kitty who loved to crawl under the covers. I still miss her. :broken_heart:

(((Machka))): Prayers for your DH and for you.

one of our cats loves to get under the covers too- it is fine until he decides to play and bite my toes. I love one of the others that curls up against me. She gets as close as she can(and she is a super fluffy snuggle bug).

Kate UK: Your azalea is beautifu!!! :flowerforyou:

Machka: I hope that the statins and beta blockers are successful at helping your DH. :star:

Heather: I am thrilled that I’ll get to spend time with my daughter. Her children’s other grandparents are bringing them to Oregon in an RV. It will be fun to see them, too.

I’m getting ready to head to the pharmacy to buy vitamins. My stock pile at home has dwindled & I need to replenish them.

Debbie: I've never seen an egg as big as the one in your hand. Amazing. What kind of chick will come out when it hatches?

My husband had a successful angiography today which revealed that his left coronary arteries in his heart are narrowing (Atherosclerosis). At this point the specialist has decided to go the medication route rather than installing a stent. So he will be on statins, beta-blockers, aspirin and something else to reduce clotting.

He will have to rest for the next week, then start gradually increasing exercise, but for a while, the specialist does not want his HR above 120 bpm.

He will have a number of follow-up appointments with the specialist and also with his GP to monitor his vital stats and also how he is reacting to the medications.

In fact, medications is one of the reasons why he is staying in the hospital tonight. They want to be sure he doesn’t have some odd reaction.

And the specialist said that he did not have any significant damage to his heart muscle. So it was a minor heart attack which occurred while we were cycling, toward the end of the ride we did on Saturday. The specialist has encouraged him to cycle again, but s-l-o-w-l-y.

If all goes well, he’ll come home tomorrow (Tuesday) and then I am planning to stay home for the rest of the week with him to make sure that his medication is OK, that he doesn’t get too active, etc.

Meanwhile, I've cleaned some of the bathroom, washed and hung the towels, cleaned the washing machine and will start the dishwasher soon.

I also ran 4 km in 36 minutes on my treadmill.

Thanks for the update- I was skimming through this weekends posts to see how he was doing.

not going to hatch it- most likely it is a double, possible triple yolk. If we did try to hatch it, it would be twins I guess. Don't know if they would survive though.
I do have small hands but that thing was big- like a duck egg(not possible, no ducks around and they are always fenced in so no critters can get in.

Picked these artichokes right before driving home- 6 min in the pressure cooker- had one for lunch- nothing on it- so yummy. I will have another one in a little while.

The artichokes look wonderful! They were a special treat for my mom and me when I was growing up. We dipped them in mayonnaise. YUM!

Once in a while I will make some garlic butter to dip them in but usually just eat them plain.

Friday night mom and I had fresh artichokes, asparagus and new potatoes from her garden for our dinner. It was so good.

Machka-glad they can take a less aggressive approach with your husband. Mine was on them for a number of years. The first one he was on (I believe it was Zocor) did not agree with his system. For some reason, it made him smell! Like a towel he used after a shower would smell mildewed, and he develop a distinctive aroma (gross I know). I only mention it because some medications don't agree with some people-they switched brands and no more smell issues!

Vicki-glad your fall was not worse.

Allie-sorry your kidney news was not what you hoped. Will they try putting you on transplant list?

    Pip-Yogi is indeed cool!

Had a productive day. Ended up having to deal with a few work issues via telephone so was not a complete vacation day, but got some odds and ends done that I have been avoiding.

Off to get ready for tomorrow-have to be at the office a bit before 7:30 am for a zoom meeting.

    Take care all,
