Hi Linda, we had a perfect Summer's day here. The temps were in the 70s, and there was no humidity or smoke. I went to the museum, and did my walking, and then had PT at 4:00. Got home and walked up to Beansie's Bus for a burger and fries. I know the fries are going to kill me tomorrow, but they are worth it. So I think I'll just have a hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge, and an iced mocha for dessert here. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight.

Hi Zzyyggy. We didn’t have rain today. It was hot and humid, which is typical weather for the middle of August. I haven’t been feeling great—my back has been bothering me so I haven’t been sleeping well. I’m so overtired I can’t even remember what I did today. Surely, not much. I was in the Club Room here at the cybercafe earlier and ordered a peanut butter sandwich for dinner. Sweetie came in and asked what we were ordering for dessert and suggested we come out to the terrace with you. He likes your order and wants a hot fudge sundae, too. He ordered his with vanilla ice cream, but I ordered coffee ice cream on mine. Viktor said he’d bring iced mochas for everyone.

Hi Linda, today was my day to sleep all day. I really did do too much yestarday. I was up early for a grocery delivery, put the perishables away, had some cereal and went to bed. I never really woke up except to do some reading, or play games on my kindle. I'm finally up now, and will get some dinner cooked, feed the cat, and probably go back to bed. I have zero energy today, and just really want to go back to bed. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the porter house steak, baked potato, green beans, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies with m&ms fresh from the oven, and an iced mocha. I'll sit out on the terrace again tonight. It's so lovely out here.

Hi Zzyyggy. Today was a well deserved rest day for you after yesterday.

The green beans were fresh from the cybercafe’s garden. I had some with new potatoes in the Salad Nicoise with salmon that I ordered this evening. I can’t resist M&M cookies. I asked Viktor for more cookies and a coffee (or two) for me.

Hi Linda, we had a cold front move through and the temps dropped from 85 at 11:00 to 60 degrees right now. We had some rain, but not a whole lot. We need a lot more. I've been doing a lot of reading today and hanging out with the cat. She now has the zoomies and it's fun watching her go after her toys. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday roasted chicken with stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, and lots of dinner rolls. A coca cola please. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll go for a quick swim before dinner, but eat out on the terrace.

Hi Zzyyggy. Roast chicken Sunday dinner sounds wonderful, especially if Francois is cooking it. It’s been so hot around here it would be nice to jump in the pool and cool down for a bit. I saw some brownies in the bakery case on my way out to the terrace. They’d be perfect for dessert. Bet they’d be good with an iced mocha.

Hi Linda, We had a perfect Summer's day today with lots of clear blue ski, and sunshine. No humidity, heat, or smoke. I went to the museum this afternoon, and then a swim after that. Now its going to be dinner and then bed. I'm pooped. For dinner tonight Francois has fired up the out door pizza ovens and is making pizza and wings to order. I'll have a large pizza with the works, with barbecued chicken wings, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some of those brownies from last night and an iced mocha. Later we'll have a bonfire and toast marshmellows for s'mores.

Hi Zzyyggy. It was hot and humid today. I’m looking forward to a week from now. The forecast is showing that the nighttime temperatures will drop down out of the mid 70’s and into the mid 60’s. That should bring the dew point down and the humidity will be lower. The weather station in my backyard never showed the humidity going down below 70%. You had a much better day than I did.

Pizza, a Coca Cola, and brownies for dinner? Count me in! You can have the barbecue chicken; I’d love to have some garlic knots. I might be asleep before the bonfire tonight. I have to get some sleep because tomorrow is my appointment at Miss Nora’s salon. 💇🏼 I’ll make sure to wear a long sleeve shirt to survive the arctic air conditioning ❄️.

Hi Linda, we had a mostly cloudy and chilly day at 69 degrees most of the day. A feeling of fall is in the air, but then we go back up to the 90s later this week. I got in a swim this morning, and then spent the day reading, and puttering at home. Yestarday's museum trip, and swim tired me out. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the bucket of KFC fried chicken original recipe with mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob, and those biscuits. Lots of butter and gravy. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I hope it wasn't too cold at Miss Nora's.

Hi Zzyyggy. It was cloudy here today. The temperature stayed in the high 70’s, and although it was humid, it was so much better than the weather we’ve been having. We were supposed to go to Miss Nora’s salon, but Sweetie got sick. He has a cold and was awake all night coughing and blowing his nose. I’ve spent all day (Tuesday) following him around cleaning up his messes. He’s so overtired he keeps spilling things. I was washing the dinner dishes while he was clearing plates, except he took the plates into the living room, sat down in his chair, and fell asleep. I had to go rescue the plates and put them in the dishwasher.

I’m going to order pumpkin pie and a coffee for dessert. I think I’ll read my book for a bit and then it’s off to bed for me. I didn’t get much sleep last night either.

Hi Linda, I hope your sweetie gets better. It's tough being sick, and being around sick people. It's been mostly cloudy around here today with mild temps. Theres been a nice breeze blowing around. I got in a double walk this morning. Walked up to the local corner store for coffee, and found I didn't have my wallet. Walked home and picked that up, went back got my coffee, and then came back home. Have spent the rest of the day doing laundry and housework. Got most of the apartment picked up, and the trash out. The laundry is clean now, whether or not it gets put away we'll see. Maybe Ramona will help me. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a big plate of spaghetti and meat balls with garlic bread and green beans. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven with an iced mocha. Love nice warm cookies. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight.

Hi Zzyyggy. Fortunately, Sweetie got a good night’s sleep and he says he’s feeling much better. He still sounds stuffed up, but he’s not a walking disaster today. Although, he decided to make spaghetti for dinner and then proceeded to cook almost 3 pounds of spaghetti. Perhaps I should have supervised? We had spaghetti and meat sauce for dinner. Delicious. I asked Sweetie what he wanted me to order for him for dessert and he says he wants a big slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream. That sounds good to me. I’ll ask Viktor to drizzle caramel sauce over mine. Here’s Viktor with my coffee. Thank you so much.😊

Gee, Zzyyggy, you had a busy day. I bet you worked off any extra calories in that coffee. Ramona would certainly help if she could—she’d even make you coffee in the morning.

Hi Linda, glad your sweetie is feeling better. I wonder if I could teach Ramona how to use the Keurig. I'd have to set it up for her. All she would have to do is press the right button. For dinner tonight I'm craving diner style meat loaf, thick slices with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and dinner rolls with lots of butter. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars with an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace. It was a perfect Summer's day out there with lots of sunshine, and clear blue sky. Hi Zzyyggy. Mm, meatloaf sandwiches are a favorite of mine. I’m definitely ordering a meatloaf sandwich for dinner. I’d like a Klondike Heath Bar for dessert. I’d love one of those iced mochas in real life. I’m falling asleep sitting up but it’s much too early to go to bed. Maybe an iced coffee would be a good thing or maybe it would keep me awake all night.

Hi Linda, Ramona just walked across the keyboard wanting to say hi too, but she didn't make too much sense. Coffee this late in the day keeps me up all night. That's why I only have Cafe mochas here in the cafe, that and the calories. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the rotisserie chicken with potato salad, cole slaw, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a maple walnut ice cream cone with sprinkles, and an iced mocha. I'm tired tonight as well, and my iced coffee in the fridge looks so good. But no I can't.

Hi Zzyyggy. Isn’t it nice that Ramona takes an interest in everything you do? I love that about pets, although years ago we had a dog that absolutely loved taking showers and baths and we had to make sure to lock the bathroom door or we’d have some unwanted company in the the tub.

I hope you didn’t drink the coffee. I did have coffee Thursday night and it did keep me awake all night. Your dessert order sounds delicious. I’m ordering that, too. I think I’ll make chicken, potato salad, and coleslaw for dinner tomorrow. I’ll have to make the salads without mayo for me, but Sweetie can have his with mayo.

Cooler weather is on the way and I can’t wait for this cold front to get here. Once the nighttime temperatures drop below 70 degrees the humidity should be lower. By Tuesday our daytime highs will be hanging around 80 degrees. Yes!

Hi Linda, no I didn't have the iced coffee last night, although it did keep calling me. Instead I settled for gingerale, and then rootbeer. For dinner tonight I would love a quarter pound bacon cheeseburger with diner made french fries, and a root beer. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha. It was hot and humid day out there. I think I'll eat down by the pool again, and take a dip first to cool off. It was a good day to stay inside and read for a bit.

Hi Zzyyggy. I didn’t make coleslaw for dinner. Instead I sauteed the cabbage in olive oil with carrots, celery, and onion, seasoned with granulated garlic and a tiny bit of salt. Then I added my rotisserie chicken and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese. 😋 We are fortunate that the cybercafe’s talented Chef Francois makes the best brownies in the world. He’s already making some of my favorite Fall recipes and today he made Pumpkin Swirl Brownies. (The pumpkin swirl is not cheesecake.) I ordered the Pumpkin Swirl Brownies topped with homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert. An iced coffee would be a nice treat, too.

We had a cooler, cloudy day. The temperature stayed in the 70’s except when the sun came out for an hour or so and the temperature went up to 80 degrees. It’s always humid in the southeast in the summer. I can’t escape those frizzy hair days.

Hi Zzyyggy. I’m back! I forget to say I added spaghetti to my chicken and cabbage dinner. We have lots of leftover spaghetti from the other night. Sweetie is enjoying adding a bowl of buttered spaghetti to just about every meal.

I’m ready for another iced coffee. I’m planning on taking my iced coffee with me into the pool—while I float on my pool lounger.

For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday Crown Pork Roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, winter squash, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. Lots of gravy and butter. For dessert I'll have some blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'm going to eat down by the pool again after taking a nice cooling off dip. Later we'll have a bonfire with s'mores.

I'll go for a swim first but I think I'll eat out on the terrace with the ocean view. The whales and dolphins are fun to watch.

Hi Zzyyggy. It’s so nice out here on the terrace. I ordered a bowl of toffee coffee ice cream, fudge sauce on the bottom of the bowl with caramel sauce drizzled over the top. I’ll ask Viktor to add some chocolate covered espresso beans on the side. I think after I have dessert I’m going to take a little nap.

Sweetie came to bed at 3:00 am this morning (early Monday) and woke me up to tell me he took the recycling out. I don’t know why. He was happy and chatty and I was so out of it that I thought I dreamt it. I managed to fall back asleep, but I kept waking up and finally got up around 5:00 am. I’ve been having trouble with insomnia lately. I either can’t get to sleep or can’t stay asleep and even after I do get enough sleep, I’m exhausted. It’s driving me crazy. I know how to get out of that cycle and consistency helps. I’m even trying to get to bed sometime between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Sigh.

Hi Linda, we had a cooler day today as well. I got in a swim this morning, and then did some housework, and laundry. Needless to say I'm a little tired tonight. It's so dark and dreary out there right now. For dinner tonight I'm going to have some good ole mac and cheese with peas, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha. We now have two elevators in the building, and I can hardly hear them. It use to be I could hear them running all hours of the day and night. It's been nice, and now the wait time isn't forever. I'll eat in the dining room and enjoy the fire. It was chilly around here. Maybe later we'll watch a couple of movies.

Hi Zzyyggy. We had a beautiful day here. This afternoon the humidity was at 38% with a dew point of 52 degrees. Amazing. The high was 80 degrees. We didn’t do anything special—stayed home doing this and that. I did some laundry and folded a few towels. I made the mistake of taking the towels out of the dryer and not folding them immediately. I didn’t used to have issues with folding towels. Maybe I’m just old and grouchy. Sweetie made more spaghetti today. Macaroni and cheese is not the same with spaghetti. At least this time he didn’t cook 3 pounds of it 🙄.

Kudos to the owners of your building. It’s great when they add improvements, like putting in another elevator. It makes a big difference.

It’s nice sitting here by the fire. Igor has transformed the dining room and the alcove into a gorgeous autumn display. I swear the painting on that wall over there looks so real you could take a walk through the trees right into a forest full of fall colors. I ordered coffee and a piece of ginger molasses cake for dessert. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched any movies. We have Prime Video and Netflix. I’m going to cancel Netflix. We haven’t watched it in a long time.

Hi Linda, we had another gorgeous day out there today, but with a lot of clouds. Got out this afternoon, and did some reading. Will go for my evening walk after dinner. Hopefully it won't rain like it did last night. I got to the store just fine, but when I left the rain really came down. I was soaked by the time I got home. Got out of my wet clothes, and got into some dry ones then snuggled with the cat under the blankets for some warmth. For dinner tonight I would love some baked ziti with garlic bread, string beans, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. Hi Zzyyggy. Getting stuck in the rain is the worst! You’re lucky to have Ramona to take care of you. The baked ziti was delicious tonight, but that was a while ago. Cake for dessert would be good. I’m going to order German chocolate cake iced with vanilla buttercream and a cup of coffee. We had another beautiful day. It looks like the weather will be wonderful for at least the next two weeks.

Hi Zzyyggy. I was hanging out in the cybercafe kitchen earlier talking with Chef Francois. He made me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner. Sometimes you need to step back into childhood. I’ll join you on the terrace for dessert and sunset. We seldom get spectacular sunsets where we live. While there are some pretty sunsets, we can’t see the horizon through the trees and we’re tucked into the eastern side of a hill, further obstructing our view.

Sweetie has decided on lemon meringue pie for dessert tonight, but apple pie with vanilla ice cream sounds good to me. Where we used to live we had a bakery that made caramel apple pie that was out of this world. I think I’ll order that tonight. I also put in an order for iced tea for Sweetie and iced coffee for me.

Hi Linda, we had a much needed rainy day today. Some sunshine, but mostly a nice good soaking rain. We really needed it so I can't complain. I didn't do a whole lot, just stayed inside and read. For dinner tonight I would love a big bowl of seafood chowder with bread and butter, and a coca cola. Did I mention it was chilly outside as well? I actually had the heat on. For dessert I'll have some warm chocolate chip cookies from the oven, and an iced mocha. I'll eat in the dining room tonight and enjoy a table by the fireplace.
