Hi Zzyyggy. A glass of milk with pancakes would be perfect.

Igor has a lot of area to decorate—the cybercafe is huge! He can even put a pumpkin on every fence post. I saw Igor debating with Jorge about whether to put lights in the trees in the orchards. Jorge has added mums, pansies, violas, asters, and ornamental kale to the gardens.

Hi Linda, yes those boys are busy this time of year, and the next couple of months, I may have to give them a raise. Or at the very least a bonus. For dinner tonight I would love the grilled porterhouse steak with sauteed onions and mushrooms. A baked potato with lots of butter, and a salad with regular full fat thousand Island dressing. A coca cola with all that. For dessert I'll have some chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I need another chocolate fix. I'll eat out on the terrace as usual. We had another nice day today and I got outside to do some reading.

Hi Zzyyggy. Dinner at the cybercafe was wonderful this evening. You can’t go wrong with a great steak, baked potato, and a salad. Sweetie and I had a friend who would take us out to dinner at a very fancy restaurant. She has passed away, but the dinners were magnificent. They had a salad that had poached pears served over salad greens, dressed with Roquefort dressing. I loved it. I’m not a big fan of pears, but these pears were delicious. Fortunately, Chef Francois knows the same recipe!

An all chocolate dessert extravaganza? Yes, please. I’ll have my chocolate ice cream topped with fudge sauce and served with chocolate dipped chocolate wafer cookies. An iced coffee over lots of ice, please. It was hot today. The temperature was 82 degrees, which shouldn’t feel that hot, but the humidity was oppressive. There was rainy weather around us, however, we got less than a quarter inch of rain. We’re watching the storms in the Atlantic, wondering if the storms will move inland or not.

Hi Linda, we had a gorgeous and warm day here in Vermont. It was warm too with temps above 80 degrees. Got outside and read for a bit. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday crown roast pork with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coca cola, and dinner rolls with lots of butter. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again.

Hi Zzyyggy. Our weather was a little bit better than Saturday, here in Charlotte. It looks like the Atlantic storms are heading out to sea, but we’ll still get rain on Monday and Tuesday. I don’t mind the rain.

Apple pie sounds good, but then I saw Betty’s email with a recipe for espresso cupcakes. 🤔 Pie or cupcakes? 🧁? I think I’ll go for an espresso cupcake with just a little icing—I’ll have some coffee ice cream with the cupcake and an iced mocha, too.

Hi Linda, we had another super warm day here. Temps were in the 80s with lots of sunshine and clear blue sky. I sat outside for a bit and read this afternoon. The sun just warmed me right up. Yestarday I tested positive for Covid, and am keeping to myself. It's running rampant in the building so we all have to wear masks in the public areas. I haven't been feeling well at all lately but the tests kept coming back negative until yesterday. My sister brought me over some more so I can keep on top of it. Francois, I would love a bowl of your chicken soup with bread and butter and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace and enjoy the warm tropical sunshine.

Hi Zzyyggy. Francois’ chicken soup should have you feeling better in no time. Wouldn’t that be nice? Where my mom lives everyone has to get Covid and flu shots. In fact, they got them a week and a half ago. I was thinking about getting the flu shot, although I can’t get the shot for people over 65 because I had a reaction the last two times I got it. I had Covid only once—at the start of the pandemic, after we’d all been vaccinated. My daughter-in-law is convinced that our grandson gave us COVID, so we don’t get to visit as often during the school year. It all depends on what’s going around. The thing is, when a lot of kids get sick it means whatever that bug is, it’s going to be everywhere. Who’s to say we didn’t get it going to the store or picking up a takeout meal from a local restaurant? (That’s when all the restaurants had to close their dining rooms and had only takeout options.)

Anyway, it’s a lovely evening out here on the terrace at the cybercafe. At home we’ve had a misty day with scattered showers. The temperature stayed in the high 60’s all day. We ended up getting 1.25 inches of rain. It might rain a little more, but it seems to be clearing. It’s a good night for soup or macaroni and cheese. You know I’ll order the macaroni and cheese with lots of vegetables and extra cheese. Sweetie says he wants an espresso sundae for dessert. I’ll have one, too, although instead of coffee ice cream I’d like mocha chip ice cream. We are so fortunate at the cybercafe because Viktor makes excellent sundaes.

ZZYYGGY, WE FORGOT NATIONAL COFFEE DAY!!! Fortunately, we can have a do over here at the cybercafe.

Hi Linda, How could we forget national coffee day. I think I'll have ice mocha for dinner tonight. We had another perfect fall day here. Sat outside for bit to enjoy the sunshine, and speaking of coffee took a quick trip up to the store and back for coffee I was out. The store I go to is about a half a block away so it was a quick trip. I think I'll stick to chicken soup again tonight with the iced mocha, and lots of bread and butter. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with an iced mocha. I'm still not feeling well, but getting better. I'll eat out on the terrace again tonight. I wish it would stay like this for the rest of the year. 😊

Hi Zzyyggy. I went out on the front step to check the weather this morning so I could decide what to wear to Miss Nora’s hair salon this morning. It felt sticky and the air was still, but by 11:00 the wind picked up and dryer air pushed the rest of the storm clouds east and it turned into a beautiful day. Usually Miss Nora keeps the shop at an arctic temperature, however, today it was comfortable. Her mama died last week and I don’t think Miss Nora is sleeping well. Her mama had been ill for a long time and while she says it’s a blessing, I know she’s feeling terribly sad. It’s never easy.

An iced mocha would be wonderful. Viktor said Francois made Chocolate-Almond Buttercrunch Toffee today. It tastes divine and I absolutely had to have some.

Hi Zzyyggy. I know I’m early. I just dropped by because I ordered garlic bread to go with the lasagna Sweetie is making for dinner. I noticed Viktor has gotten into holiday themes —he’s added little cellophane bags of candy corn, foil wrapped chocolate pumpkins, and jelly beans in autumn colors to his tablescapes. Igor and Jorge made the prettiest little centerpieces for the tables in the dining room. Sweetie wants me to order apple pie a la mode for dessert tonight. 😋!

Hi Linda, still not feeling well. I'm going for the chicken soup again with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I've been sleeping most of the day, and it's really nice out there. I'll get out tomorrow hopefully.

Zzyyggy, I’m hoping you’re feeling better today. It’s been a beautiful day today and Sweetie is planting pansies. I’m doing laundry. I’ve even gotten the socks folded and put away. Chef Francois made Betty’s Turtle Tart! I saw it on my way in in the pastry case. I like coming into the cybercafe through the bakery instead of the front foyer. I still end up in the front foyer and I can go on into the diner or into the dining room. I’ve made my way through the dining room and out to the terrace. I’m going up to the Mountain View terrace to sit under the trees.

Ah, Viktor, there you are. Yes, I’ll take the table with the view of the river as it comes down the mountain and winds through the valley. For dinner tonight I’d like the croissant with honey baked ham and Gruyer and broccoli cauliflower salad side, please. Water to drink will be fine. For dessert I’d like to have a slice of Turtle Tart and an iced mocha. Thank you, Viktor.

Zzyyggy, I hope you’re well enough to sit out here with me and enjoy this spectacular view.

Hi Linda, I'm still not feeling well, but fortunately there are no virtual germs, only viruses. I'll join you on the terrace. We've had some super summer days here, but I've only been able to enjoy them at home. I haven't gotten to the museum at all this week. It closes for the season on October 26 so I still have a bit of time. Viktor I'll have a bacon cheeseburger with french fries, and a root beer. At least my appitite is back. For dessert I'll have some apple pie with vanilla ice cream and a iced mocha. I guess I should feel lucky that I can get outside. Aaah the mountain view is so pretty especially that very tall peak up there with the snow on top.

Hi Zzyyggy. I’m spending this afternoon by the pool. Viktor just delivered my cheese and freggies plate along with a pitcher of iced tea. I went ahead and ordered for Sunset Dessert. I’ve been seeing all kinds of pumpkin and apple recipes, but I think I’ll have some apple cake. It’s a recipe I found 46 years ago. I haven’t made it for a while now. It was so good. I bet that would be good with a pumpkin spice iced coffee.

Hi Linda, another gorgeous fall day out there. A little on the chilly side at 60 degrees though. For dinner tonight I'll have the fried scallops with french fries, and a coca cola. I'll join you down by the pool this evening and go for a quick swim before dinner. I haven't been to the real pool all week. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha.

Hi Zzyyggy. It’s another beautiful fall day. It warmer today—77 degrees right now. I went outside for a while and even in a long sleeve shirt it felt cool. Sweetie went to Costco early this morning and bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner. I asked Chef Francois to make potato salad and his balsamic ratatouille for our side dishes. The bakery case has some of those big crunchy chocolate chip cookies—with an iced mocha that’s my choice for dessert tonight. It’s a bit early for dinner so I have plenty of time for a swim in the cyberpool. I’ll put a sarong on over my bathing suit for dinner out here on the patio.

Hi Linda, Costco rotisserie chicken I'm in. I'll have the potato salad, and corn on the cob. Feeling a little better today. Got out for a walk this evening. We've been having some gorgeous weather here for the fall so I took advantage of it. Got some reading done outside as well. Giant chocolate chip cookies with an iced mocha? deffinitely. I'll go for a dip in the pool first though. I haven't been swimming all week long.

Zzyyggy, I think I’m going to order some chocolate almond buttercrunch toffee. Is midnight too early to order breakfast? I suppose a better question might be should candy be eaten for breakfast. Then again, since it’s midnight and I clearly haven’t been to bed yet, is candy an appropriate midnight snack?

Viktor! We need some chocolate almond buttercrunch toffee and more coffee over here. Party! Oh, oh, conga line—I’ll be right back.

Hi Linda, that was very deductive arguing. Sherlock Holmes would have been proud. I'm feeling better today. Got three loads of laundry done. Had to didn't have any sheets for the bed. We had a gorgeous fall day here today. Temp up in the 80s and no humidity. Perfect for sitting outside and reading or walking which I did both. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday prime rib dinner with baked potato, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll go for a swim first and then have dinner by the pool. Love the lit jack-o-lanterns all around the pool.

Hi Zzyyggy. You never know what can happen at the cybercafe after midnight. 😲

I’m glad you’re feeling better. Our weather was a couple of degrees cooler, but very much the same as yours. The rain and cool down for you comes on Tuesday and on Wednesday for me. Of course, your weather will be about 10 degrees cooler than mine afterwords. I haven’t been getting out much. I keep having vertigo attacks. They don’t last long, but it’s unnerving.

The Sunday Prime Rib dinner was delicious. I added a salad to mine. Francois makes wonderful salads. Enough about dinner—it’s time for dessert. I ordered the 🍪chocolate chip cookies, too, except that mine are chocolate-chocolate chip praline cookies. They taste especially delicious with iced mochas. Here, Zzyyggy, try some.

Hi Linda, good cookies. The second day in a row I've tested negative. Tomorrow I go swimming for the first time in a week or so. We'll see how I feel after that. We had another gorgeous day here in the real world. Lots of sunshine. Spent the afternoon outside reading. Trying to talk myself into going for a walk out there this evening. For dinner tonight I would love the barbecued spareribs with baked potato, and a coca cola with that. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat down by the pool again. Those scarecrows look pretty scary along the edges of the pool. Igor and Jorges assure me that they are pretty tame though.

Zz!😳Tame scarecrows? Should I be worried? 😧 Then again, the witch by the front door of the cybercafe’s diner has a really scary cackle. It’s startling as you walk in the door to be welcomed by her. Fortunately, my breakfast of cinnamon buns and coffee revived me. It’s a lovely evening out here by the pool. I’ve finished my grilled chicken Caesar salad and I think I’ll order apple pie for dessert, too—except my vanilla ice cream has a caramel swirl. Viktor already brought another iced tea for me. He takes such good care of us.

Zzyyggy, have you noticed how much earlier the sun is setting lately? It seems to have happened all of a sudden, even though that’s not the case at all. Pretty soon you’ll be walking in the dark if you go out in the evening. It sounds like you had nicer weather than we did today. It wasn’t bad, but it was cloudy all day and the humidity stayed over 60%. The forecast said it was going to be 84 degrees, but today’s (Monday) high was only 77 degrees. I can’t complain about that.

Hi Linda, yeah the witch at the front door kind of freaks me out as well. Our pair of decorators even have wear wolves howling at the moon coming from the bushes. Oh well it's only once a year. Three days in a row now I've tested negative so I could go out into the real world. I did, and left my computer off at the computer repair shop. Walking up and down Church street reminded me why I didn't like walking up and down Church street but the weather was nice enough. It's raining out there tonight so no evening walk for me. Yes I have noticed how early it's getting dark out now. I'll still be okay going out in the dark as long as it's just before 7:00. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the meatloaf special with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with an iced mocha. Like last night I'll go for a swim in the pool first and then dinner down by the pool with the lighted tiki lamps, and island music going.

Hi Zzyyggy. I’m glad you’re testing negative for Covid. Glad you got out and about, but sorry your computer needs repair. I take it that Church Street is very steep. Your order sounds so good it has me ordering a meatloaf sandwich and blueberry muffins. I like the blueberry muffins with the streusel topping. I bet Francois made some blueberry muffins with chocolate chips for me. Interesting entertainment at the cyberpool this evening. It’s a beautiful evening at the cybercafe and I’m enjoying the music, even with the howling in the background.

We were supposed to have rain Wednesday morning, but now the forecast shows no rain. I’m disappointed. It’s been humid and cloudy—at least that’s keeping the temperature around 80 degrees. I’m looking forward to the cold front moving in on Thursday.

Hi Linda, we had rain off and on today. Now it's raining. Went back up to the computer shop and picked up my computer. All it needed was a new mouse, and a good cleaning. I got both, and I'm glad to have it back. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the adult size kind menu chicken nuggets with french fries, coleslaw and a coca cola. I'll have a mixture of dipping sauces. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with chocolate ice cream, and chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I did some grocery shopping before I went to the computer store, and picked up quite a bit of stuff. Church street isn't too steep it's getting up there that is. All of Burlington is built on a hill. Some parts are steeper then others, and there are only a few horizontal places I can walk. I'll go for a dip in the cyber pool before dinner. The orange and black netting with black spiders are a bit distracting but nice. I'll eat out on the terrace with the ocean view. I love watching the sunset over the ocean.

Hi Zzyyggy. We were supposed to have rain today. It was cloudy and humid and the rain clouds went around us. I wouldn’t mind if it would rain because we really need rain. I hope it wasn’t raining when you went out to get your computer. Glad you were able to get your computer back so quickly.

It’s good to be uphill from a large body of water🙄, but not good on bad knees. I know a man who lived in Pittsburgh who figured out how to get to work without making any left turns—much safer that way. If I lived in Burlington, I’d have to find the flattest way to get wherever I was going. Either that or have a driver and that’s so far out of the realm of possibilities that I can’t even imagine that. Do billionaires adopt 70 year old women? I’m assuming it’s pretty expensive to have a driver.

Gee, it’s already 1:00 am. I meant to go to bed early—11:00 pm—but time got away from me. I was looking for a sweatshirt on Amazon. What a nightmare. I think I hate shopping more than folding towels and socks. I confess that I had a cup of regular coffee around 8:00 pm. Perhaps not the best choice. And here’s Viktor with my dessert order. I ordered the same dessert you ordered—the devil’s food cake with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. Why not? It won’t keep me up all night.

Hi Linda, I can't tell you how many times lately I've had a cup of coffee before bed and regretted it the rest of the night. I'm laying there on the bed wondering what's going on, and my eyes are wide open, but my body wants to sleep. I've been on Amazon shopping for a travel mug that doesn't leak and is insulated. That can be pretty time consuming. For dinner tonight I would love the quarter pounder bacon cheeseburger with french fries, and a root beer. For dessert I'll have some warm chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. Did I mention that between the grocery shopping, and computer repair I spent a total of 189.00 and the computer repair was the cheaper of the two. I bought meat yestarday all local and free range so it is expensive, but I think it's worth it, and I can get a couple of meals out of what I buy. I use up part, freeze part, and have some for dinner and lunch. At least I'm keeping all of my money local that way. I'll eat down by the pool tonight after a quick dip.

Hi Zzyyggy. I ordered the endless plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha, too. Food, especially meat, is so expensive. The farmers markets are very high priced, as well. I didn’t get much sleep last night, so I’m sitting here falling asleep. Hopefully, I can finish dessert before I fall zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

Hi Linda, we had a gorgeous day today but it was cold out there. It was normal temps for this time of year, but we've been spoiled with warm temps so anything else would be cold. Thank goodness for the sunshine though. I sat outside for a bit, and then went for a walk around the block. For dinner tonight I would love a hearty bowl of seafood chowder with lots of bread and butter for dipping and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I think tomorrow is going to be a good day for pot roast in the real world.
