Hi, Zzyyggy. It’s lovely out here on the terrace this evening, perfect for a relaxing evening. I made chicken fajita burritos for dinner tonight and they were delicious. I ready for dessert now and I see Francois made my favorite cybercafe apple crisp. I ordered that for dessert with caramel swirl ice cream. Sweetie wants an ice cream sundae with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.

Hi Linda, I'm starving tonight. I'm going to have the Sunday roast port dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and dinner rolls with lots of butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'm going to enjoy it on the terrace with lots of sunshine, and the nice ocean breeze. We didn't have that great a day weather wise.

Zzyyggy, that sun really does feel good out here. We had a cloudy day with some misty rain, but tomorrow we’re supposed to get two inches of rain. I’m glad the sun’s still up at the cybercafe.

The Super bowl party is out on the patio by the pool. They’re all watching the show on the BIG screen. I snagged some appetizers for us. Mm, the chicken wings are garlicky, hot, and so yummy. It’s good I remembered the celery and ranch dressing to cool things off. Oh, and chili and chips and dips. So many delicious choices. These little pizza bites are good, too. Here comes Viktor with more goodies.

Hi Linda, so thats why there was a couple of huge footballs on the terrace, and goal posts were set up on either side of the area. Igor loves his decorating. Love the appetizers last night. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the diner fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes,gravy, carrots, and dinner rolls with lots of butter. A coca cola. For dessert I'll have some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I think I'll eat out on the patio. We're back to winter again.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Isn’t Igor a wonder? The patio went from Super Bowl back to Valentine’s Day overnight. I’m hoping we get our usual heart shaped boxes this year. I’m in the mood for more apple crisp topped with caramel swirl ice cream tonight.

It feels so warm out here on the patio I might just stay right here for the rest of the evening. At home it’s been wet and rainy all day and I’ve been feeling cold. I can’t seem to get warm.

Hi Linda, thats why I like the patio. I'm sitting out there tonight. Even though we had sunshine today it was cold out there. For dinner tonight I want a quarter pounder with cheese from you know where, some of those chicken nuggets, those yummie french fries and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a couple of their apple pies, and an iced mocha. I'm starving tonight. Oooh look we have butterflies out tonight, and I love the Valentine's day decor, especially the red dyed pool.

Zzyyggy, I think it’s just the red lights in the pool that make it red. There’s a whole spectrum of colors. You can have a different color everyday. Of course, it really could be dye; if they can put jello in the pool, I’m sure they could use dye in the pool. I’m going to try not think about it. Hmm, chocolate pudding would be interesting. No. No, bad idea.

I ordered macaroni and cheese for dinner. Francois added mini meatballs and vegetables and it was delicious. Then I ordered iced tea with mini scoops of lemon sorbet for dessert. 😋

Hi Linda, macaroni and cheese sounds good for a Valentine's Day dinner. Happy Valentine's day. I'm going to have that with garlic bread and coleslaw, and a coca cola. For dessert Francois made a heart shape Devil's food cake with red frosting, and little red hearts all over. I'll have that with an iced mocha. Ohh and there are our little box of chocolates set out in the dining room. I need heat so I'm going to eat by the fireplace.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hi, Zzyyggy. I’m joining you by the fire. We had a lovely Spring day today, but the nights are cold. Here’s Viktor with my dinner. I got the macaroni and cheese, too. Mm, another basket of garlic bread. 😋 Francois’ Valentine cake looks delicious. That will be perfect for dessert.

Hi Linda. I'm starving again tonight. I'm going to have swedish meatballs with peas, and lots of egg noodles with the creamy sauce. Dinner rolls with lots of butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'm cold as well so I'll eat in the dining room by the fire. All the Valentine's decorations are coming down, and now Igor is putting up portraits of presidents in the dining room, and the color scheme is red white and blue.

Oh, wow, Zzyyggy, Igor completely changed gears, didn’t he. Ugh, it reminds me that early voting for the primary started today. We have 16 different elections. Where’s my recliner, I need to lie down for a bit. I’ve been trying to research the candidates. I’ve got my pick for the school board, the two county commissioners, the district Judge, the NC House. Is a Superintendent of Public Instruction the same as the State Superintendent of Education? I’m assuming the answer is yes. It might just take until Election Day on March 5th for me to research all these people.

Viktor, I need dessert. Let’s start with a pot of coffee, regular, please. Usually when I’m stressed I want chocolate, but tonight I’m bringing out the banana pudding. Yes, banana pudding with extra vanilla wafers and extra whipped cream. And I WANT A CHERRY ON TOP! Okay, okay, I won’t stand on my recliner. 🙄

Hi Linda, we've got a mayor vote, and this is the first time I'll be voting in Burlington. Anyone is better then the one who is office right now. Our ballots will be mailed out. I'm starving tonight. I'll have a big bowl of seafood chowder with lots of bread and butter for dipping, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy the dining room again since I'm in need of a rip roaring fire. Maybe s'mores later?

Zzyyggy, a s’mores ice cream sundae would be delightful. Roasted marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate fudge sauce, ice cream. Sweetie wants chocolate ice cream on his. I’m having a difficult time deciding. I could have vanilla or rocky road, or caramel swirl or coffee ice cream. 🤔 I think I’ll have the rocky road ice cream tonight. That fire sure feels good. Maybe I’ll spend the rest of the evening here with a cat on my lap and a book to read.

Hi Linda, I'm pooped tonight. I cleaned my oven, and did a lot of cleaning, and dusting around the house. Also took the trash down, and did a couple loads of laundry. I need a good and hearty dinner. I think I'll have prime rib dinner with baked potato, salad, and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I didn't go grocery shopping this morning so I didn't get the real iced mocha. It was too cold to. I'll have dinner again in the dining room. It's nice and warm by the fire place.

Okay, so don’t laugh, but it was cold today—mid 40’s and windy. I know it’s really late for dessert, but tomorrow is a holiday. Of course, when you’re retired just about every day is a holiday. The apple pie sounds good, Zzyyggy, but what I really want is my mom’s pecan cake with brown sugar icing. I wish I could find the recipe for it. I’ve looked online, but the pecan cake recipes I found aren’t the same thing. This was what we always called a half cake recipe—made in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan. I suppose I could use any quick cake recipe for the base, something similar to banana bread, and add chopped, toasted pecans instead of bananas. I’m not sure the cake’s texture would be right though. Martha White cake and muffin mixes used to sell box cake mixes that were half cakes, but I haven’t seen those in years. Then again, I have to ask myself if I really need to be eating cake.

Hi Linda, did you look on Betty's website or just google the recipe. Sometimes just googling it will work. I am starving tonight. I'm going to have a big plate of macaroni and cheese with lots of bread and butter, and a salad with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an ice mocha. I'll eat in the dining room by the fire. I'm still chilled from the cold.

Zzyyggy, Betty has a butter pecan cake mix, but that wasn’t what I wanted and Google had similar recipes from scratch. So I decided to look a pecan coffee cake recipes instead and I found something that might just work The recipe has a streusel topping, but I can ice the cake with brown sugar icing instead. Fortunately, Francois made pecan cake just like my mom’s. I’ll join you by the fire with my cake and coffee.

Hi Linda. So we're past president's day and now on to Easter with the decorations. Igor has set up bigger then life Easter bunnies, and baskets of colorful eggs all over the dining room. Tonight I'm going to have barbecued chicken with potato salad, and corn on the cob with lots of butter with a coca cola and biscuits. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat it in the colorful diningroom with the roaring fire, and tropical acquariums all over.

Wow, Easter has exploded in the dining room! Zzyyggy have you noticed that Igor has Easter decorations in the aquarium? Look, there’s Easter egg trees and miniature bunnies and chicks.🐣. Thank goodness the librarian will allow only one daffodil plant on the front desk in the cybercafe’s library. I can enjoy the vibrant decorations all over the cybercafe and then find peace and quiet in the library.

Mm, the blueberry pie is delicious, Zzyyggy. I’ll have to thank Francois. I got chilled this evening so it will be lovely to sit by the fire for awhile and enjoy my pie and coffee.

Hi Linda, yes the fireplace is wonderful, and it's nice to have one in the library as well. For dinner tonight I'm going to have lasagna with garlic bread, salad and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some strawberry shortcake with whipped cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat it in the dining room by the fireplace. I'm chilled again tonight. I had the real mocha today at Starbucks. I went to Market32 grocery shopping. I realized why I don't like going on the weekdays. There are no cashiers on that early, and the person at the self checkout wasn't that nice. It's fine for small orders which was what I had today but for my big shopping I'll go back to Sundays.

Oh, lasagna dinner and strawberries. I’m allergic to strawberries now. Good thing I can still enjoy them at the cybercafe. I think I’ll have the same dinner and dessert you’re having Zzyyggy. I’m going to ask Viktor to dip some strawberries in chocolate, too. We can’t forget extra whipped cream for our coffees.

Shopping on the weekends can be busy, but when you go early it’s not as crowded. No cashiers? That sounds like our local Target before they had self checkout.

I haven't been out on the terrace in awhile. I think I'll have dinner out there tonight and watch the fireflies when it gets dark. It's so nice and warm out here.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I ordered the chili macaroni and cheese for dinner. Sometimes you just need extra carbs. And chocolate, yes, chocolate for dessert would be good. Hmm, a brownie sundae. Let’s start with a turtle brownie then add chocolate ice cream, topped with fudge sauce, whipped cream, and mini M&M’s. Some caramel M&M’s would be good, too. Ah, Sunset Dessert with friends and coffee.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Another night out on the terrace sounds great. I ordered a glass of wine and a small cheese and freggies plate with my favorite little cheese crackers for dinner. After I finish I’m going to order coffee and brownie bites topped with vanilla icing and rainbow sprinkles.

Sweetie wants to watch tv. I would love to stay here at the cybercafe on the terrace and read my book. I’m off to watch tv. It’s the least I can do since Sweetie went shopping earlier and he’s prepping the carrots, celery, and broccoli. I did the prepping last week, but we don’t actually take turns. I usually don’t mind working in the kitchen or cooking, however, I’m tired tonight so I really appreciate his help.

Hi Linda, if I were married, or had a partner I would gladly do the clean up if they could cook such wonderful dinners. I'm not thrilled about cooking for myself. If I could have a chef who would make old fashion dinners like mom did then I'd be happy. Well there is always Francois. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a porter house steak with baked potato, lots of butter. Sauteed onions and mushrooms and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I need a nice warm fire tonight so I'll have dinner in the dining room. Just watch out for the roving Easter Bunnies.

Zzyyggy, a chef would be nice, as long as they do their own cleanup. Dinner was delicious, I ordered the same thing you did with a salad. The fire feels so nice. I’ve got my coffee and if I don’t fall asleep I’ll read my book for awhile.

Hi Linda, yes I forgot about the clean up part. He or she would have an assistant like Francois with Igor and what's the other guy's name. That's pretty bad when I can't remember my employee's names.
