Actually grandmallie, Dunkins is everywhere! Has been for several years. Good luck on her new job! We love having Dunkins in MN although most of us will never go anywhere other than Caribou which is a home grown, MN company and only has a couple store thrown about in the most odd places in the rest of the US.
WOAH Heather, your cauliflower cake looks AMAZING!
Welcome back Cheryl!
Gorgeous pix Rita. Hope the ice didn't wreak too much havoc down there. That is unusual.
Had a very CREATIVE weekend. Made a lot of cards and got a bunch of my paper sample pages done. I'm a hobby demo for Stampin' UP which basically means I feed my habit. LOL. But I've been so out of sorts lately that I haven't been creating, so this was lovely. Grands are coming tonight for a couple days because school's out for quarter break, then home for one day and back for two more so Mom can travel to Vegas for her annual softball tournament. They took first place last year, so they're very excited to go back and defend!!! We have to drive the kiddos into school and back for those two days, but Freddy's retired so he can have that joy. It's really not that far or we would have kept them out and done DL for a couple days.
Don't know exactly who or what I've missed, Katla , Pip, Macha, etc... but love you all.

Bea wore the T shirt I bought her for her party.
I love the way Max and Edie are looking very superior in this photo. Far too old for this nonsense!
Ship still hasn't left port.

Thanks for all the welcome backs. As usual you gals are as talkative as ever. Don't think I can get through all the posts. Which is funny because I used to read them all at work and now that I'm retired, you'd think I had more time to read not less. I read that someone loves to ride. If you're near northern Chicago suburbs I'll be happy to bring you.
Here is a picture of my newest addition to my family. I seem to remember Barbiecat had two standard poodles. I still have mine but he's 12 now. I got this guy to spend some time getting to know him. He's a Golden Mountain Doodle. .125 Golden Retriever, ..375 poodle. His name is Eddie Van Howlen. He is 16 weeks old and already 40 pounds. My husband and I figure it's the last time we'll do the puppy thing. But he's been awesome. Completely house broke by 11 weeks. Now if I could only get him to sleep past 6 in the morning.

Did a half hour pilates DVD today. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Biggest Loser Calorie Killer DVD
The guys went to Waffle House this morning (one of their traditions) while I started to clean. Took down two of the valances so I can wash them. I’ll take down the one in the room Steve is staying in tomorrow
Is it cold here today! For Florida! I put on a heavy sweatshirt to go get the newspaper, but I now have on a short sleeved shirt and pants. This is one of the shirts I bought the other day. I’m not real crazy about it, but the store had 50% off. For $1.50 if I find I really don’t like it, I can just redonate it
Lisa – so happy for you and your daughter. Walk sounds fantastic!
Working on a loom knit baby hat. Hope I have enough wool.

Wessecg — I love the photo of your charming dog, a terrific combination of black curly coat and sweet face. You are likely to see our sweet old Keeshond as my photo. Schooner passed away last fall from cancer. We’re hoping to get a new medium sized poodle later this summer. Puppies are not born yet. We like the gray mom. 🐩1

We had a zoom call from our daughter. It was a huge help in minimizing worries. She’s good at cheering us up.
DH has an appointment with his doctor on Tuesday morning. We will see how it goes.
One day at a time for now.

Eldest son and I video chatted yesterday for 1 hour, 17 minutes.💖👍. He gave us a tour of his new place, gosh I love that kid! In three days he has bedroom, living room, garage, and bathroom all organized, and has one scooter already passed DMV inspection. He has learned from us. The moving company will come pick up the packing material, and boxes. He still has official moving leave he hasn't taken yet! Lol! He said he'll start that on Friday. It was a great time.
Today we started watching a new sumo wrestling tournament (sadly without son) its not the same, but we yelled and carried on for our favorites.💖
Made some taco meat with onions, and Kraft mac & cheese using the cavatappi noodles instead of the ones in the package. It was delightful l
Hugs ladies!

DH does not like trains much. Or aeroplanes. I'm sure we can think of something. I'm looking forward to Iceland right now.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx
That makes for an interesting question ...
What is your idea of a break or great holiday?
Mine would be this:
- quiet cabin in rural or semi-rural location
- comfy beds, fireplace, porch with chairs for sitting outside and relaxing
- great roads for cycling - sealed, quiet, relatively flat
- a good hike or two nearby
- a stack of books and my cameras
- a nearby town with a good restaurant/pub or two (for meals, not for alcohol)
- a nearby tourist attraction or two for rest days or those days with less-than-ideal weather ... maybe a cruise around a lake, a trip on an old train, a wildlife park, a museum or gallery, or a collection of interesting shops.

Funny ... this popped up in my FB Memories today. If it's got the stuff I mentioned above ... or even without the restaurants and tourist attractions, I'd do it!!

Carla - I just bought another Big Shot. I had sold mine a few years ago, but have decided I miss making cards.
Cheryl - love your dogs name. He’s a cutie.
I have worked on a stocking most of the day. I think I have another old hobby going to come back this summer, I may do plastic canvas Barbie furniture for our Granddaughter for Christmas.
I have so much I want to do!

DH will be going to his doctor on Tuesday. I know DH has health challenges and we need to listen and discuss how to make his life better and easier. I hope he will be able to live at home and avoid hospitals.

Accountability:Chose well: Joe, readings, BP, CI<CO, CI<250<CO.
Bonus: one load laundry, 61 mins burn pile, Just one thing: bupkes
Workin’ on it: 143.1, H20x4, active
Mindful March
14: Find ways to enjoy any chores or tasks that you do. How war refugees would love to “have” to clean house or wash clothes.
‘nother low step count day, CI<CO saved by hours of laundry and burn pile.
Lisa thought of Levi when Shadow and Tumble both demanded “Stick!” from Joe. Wanted to snap a pic but every time I pulled out the phone, they thought I was pulling out a treat and forgot their sticks to come running.
Heather just looking at that cake makes every filling in my mouth sing!
Cheryl gotta love that Eddie van Howlen
Katla glad to hear your adult children and DH’s sister are in the loop. You need all the support you can get. Prayers and ((hugs)).
Machka and Tracey, We’re blessed to live in a little cabin in the forested hills above the sea. Get to read and enjoy the silence of our remote haven, while relishing all the mod cons. If I could take a “break” from this idyllic existence, it would be to travel and dine out again. Hoping to do both in September, to the dog show with C.
Enough with using disrupted morning routines as an excuse. Tomorrow focus focus focus on getting readings and activity in before shower and Dr. appointment. If needs must, Tumble and Shadow can skip play training for a day.
Later, Lighter, lovelies!

DH has an appointment with his doctor. We’ve been thinking of ways that DH can get some joy in life. He has MS & diabetes. We hope the doctor will be able to help us find enjoyable activities for DH and improve his quality of life. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can make things better.6

The SOD finally left port at 21.00 last night. What a frustrating wait we would have had!!!!
Thinking of you Lisa with your full house. Two year olds are adorable and head-bashing-inducing at the same time.
Looking forward to Fatto a Mano this afternoon. I lost a pound this week!!!!! So my aim of 7 pounds in 7 weeks only fell short by half a pound. Very pleased with myself. I feel much better. I am aiming to only eat half a pizza, but DH and I like different ones. I like a white pizza, with fennel sausage and broccoli. Weird, I know.

Levi with his stick, stick, sticks! His mom says he does this every time now when she says "say cheese!" He and his sister ran themselves ragged yesterday while my DH and DD cleared quite a bit of brush at the treeline. My DH wants to start moving that edge back to the small seasonal stream, so we can dig it out and divert some of the water in the spring from flooding our yard.
Levi ran and played and shouted and tumbled and in general wore himself OUT. His mom had to wake him up to get some dinner in him.
Everyone's on the move, with DH headed for work and DD packing for their drive home. I am the most fortunate of women. Not sure what I did to deserve this life, but am incredibly grateful for it. Health issues and all, it's a wonderful gift.
Oh, and yes, Levi is absolutely a wrecking ball--but as long as you're expecting it, and head him off at the pass when you see that look in his eyes, the breakage is minimal...
Love y'all,
Later,

It was a nice long weekend. I could use a month, but 4 days off is better than nothing.
We went up north to hold a cycling event - 200 km. We set the riders off at 7 am on Saturday, then started our own 50 km ride at 7:30 am. When we finished our event, we ate, changed and zipped off to a designated spot where we would provide food and water to the riders.
It was a gorgeous day and when the riders came through, they were enjoying themselves. While we were there, we talked to two other couples who were interested in the long distance cycling too.
Then we zipped back to the start/finish area, grabbed a quick nap, and then welcomed the cyclists in.
Once they had gone home, I went for a 5 km walk.
The next day, we came home but took our time getting there. Once home, I weeded most of the garden beds. In early summer, I would have managed one bed, with the quantity of weeds they contained, but now I can do most of them in one go.
Then I went for a 5 km walk.
Today, I slept. I needed that! We did go out to our son and wife's place for a little bit and we got to "see" our grandchild!! The ultrasound image of our grandchild.

Happy Monday all!
Cheryl- VanHowlin! lol Love it and he is adorable! Nice to see you posting again!
Katla- Sending prayers of peace and strength! Healing for hubs. But for you, all of the strength in the world. I know what it is like wrestling a reluctant hubby to the doctor. I am glad he has an appointment.
Machka- "It was a nice long weekend. I could use a month, but 4 days off is better than nothing."
Your quote was pretty much what I was going to write for your "best vacation" question. I have a list of places I want to visit and things I want to do (cities, museums, national parks, etc.) BUT...I would really like a month off, so that I can fit in a visit with the grands (which is fun, but not relaxing at all), some sight-seeing, and some days of just sitting, reading, swimming, soaking, being warm...
Heather- Bea's birthday looks like it was a great time! I knew she and Joaquin were close in age; I must have forgotten how close. His birthday is today. He is five now. Time flies.
Lisa- I have found that most two year olds are wrecking balls! I call my kids my demolition crew. Destruction is their favorite part of play.
Well, kiddos are here and already busy without me. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

I had the most wonderful plan for dealing with the time change. I went to bed a bit earlier and got up a bit earlier every night for the week before the change. It worked perfectly and I was awake and feeling great on Sunday morning. Then I got a call from QFC around 7:30 that my groceries wouldn't be ready between 8 and 9 as scheduled because none of the grocery pickup people had come to work yet. I guessed that they forgot to reset their clocks. It wasn't a problem because my morning was flexible and I could come in when they called. I went about my chores in the morning and when they called, I headed for the store by myself because Jake was on the phone. It was the first time I'd driven since January and I enjoyed being able to listen to my music while I drove.
The day progressed well until Jake's implanted defibrillator went off about 4 PM, I called 911, the paramedics came and then called the ambulance to take him to the hospital. I stayed home with the dogs and waited. The dogs were nervous and there was no news until 6 when Jake called to say there was no news yet. At 8 he called to say that he might get released in 30 minutes. At 9:30 he called and said they were admitting him and maybe sending him to the big hospital an hour away. While I was brushing my teeth, he called again to say they were releasing him and I could come get him. That was the first time I've driven our current car in the dark and we've had it since 2017. Today Jake will call the cardiologist and the defibrillator doctor and find out what he needs to do next.
I am certainly powerless over everything and know for sure that my life is unmanageable.
