Thanks Vicki- Still not feeling great. The cold part is a little better but not by much. Asthma still bad 3-4 breathing treatments a day still. Skipping Zumba this week- told the teacher- can't dance if I can't breathe. I will just rest up this week and should be better by next Monday. It usually doesn't last more than a couple weeks. May still have a little problem but should be able to go back to class. I just want to sleep all night without waking up coughing/wheezing ever 20 min.
Katla- I hope your husband gets to see his doctor. Get some answers and get him feeling better soon.
Ali- hope you feel better soon. My son gets migrains and they are terrible.
Barbie- get some rest- that is so scary.

Jake saw one doctor today and got good information and will see another doctor tomorrow. I will be able to go with him tomorrow. He had a long nap and we'll both go to bed early tonight Thank you all for your concern and kind words
Barbie in NW WA8 -
Snowflake: thanks
KJLaMore: thanks and really cute boy
Barbiecat: Hope they figure out Jake's defibillator
Michele: You did a biggest looser cd. I barely managed 27 minutes on a stationery bike. That's ok. Tomorrow I ride my horse and Fitbit will think I did 25,000 steps --- very fast. I'll look like I rock then
Sue: Absolutely. Unfortunately I can't ride all three but I try
So wanted to mention a vacation my birthday vacation last June. My husband and I jetskiied 500 miles from Juneau to Ketchikan AK. It was amazing. If anyone feels like doing something like this it was called Dangerous Waters Adventures. The pictures from it is what motivated me to start losing my flub again. Lost at least 25 pounds since then.8 -

Barbie — I hope your husband gets the heath support that he needs. My DH is hoping to see his doctor here. We have also gone into the main hospital in Portland. We avoid Portland Hospital services when possible because of traffic, and large numbers of people who have to wait in a lobby for long times before getting their turns.1

I got to talk to our our son today. It was nice to be wanted. He would like it if we would live nearby. I will happily visit but I like our home & don’t plan on a permanent move across the country in the foreseeable future. Visiting now and then is appealing.1

Barbie and Katla, hope all the outcomes are good for your husbands. As Barbara AHMOD says, am whooshing good thoughts your way...
KJ - aren't the grands fun? Exhausting, yes, but the heart fills when a little boy climbs in your lap with a blankie because he just got up and wants to be cuddled. He will be the last one my daughter has, so I'm enjoying him while he's young. Miguel and Joaquin have such a light in their eyes!
And on that subject, congratulations Machka for your third on the way.
Heather - love seeing pictures of you all... I remember Bea's baby pictures! Hard to believe she's six.
Slept or chilled out yesterday pretty much for the whole day. My only exercise was a walk to the mailbox. Needed it after the visit, but I needed it more than I thought I would. I have a feeling my iron levels are off again, enough to sap my energy.
Have to call Social Security today (my favorite thing) and see if I can get in touch with the only person who can help me. I left a message for her Friday, and will probably have to do the same today. The national folks said it has to be corrected at the local level. My name on two forms is different, one with my previous married name and one with my current one. Not sure who flubbed it on their side, but hope to get it fixed quickly.
When DD and the grands got home, she called to tell me they made it home safe, and behind her, I could hear Levi saying, "Hi Gramily!" over and over again. When the DD and I started to end the phone, I could hear him shouting, "Bye Gramily!" Once he's got something learned, he never lets go.
The photo is Levi's big sister, who turns six this week. When her mama told her to start packing for the trip home, she found a pair of her clean panties, put them over her head, and started laughing. Hard to resist that laughter...
Later, y'all,

Wow! Cheryl- very cool vacation adventure! How long did it take you to go 500 miles on Jetskis?! Did you do a camping overnight ashore? Looks and sounds amazing! KJ1

Drizzly, misty and rainy.
Worked from home today. It was just about all meetings.
After work, we "commuted" to the gym downstairs. I rowed for 20 minutes = 150 calories and walked briskly for 11 minutes = 75 calories until my husband was finished on the bicycle. In between the two, I lifted weights. I am starting to see a tiny bit of arm definition from the rowing and weights.
The evening has been busy as usual with things around the house and legal stuff.
Tomorrow I work in the office assisting with teaching so I will need to go to bed early tonight.

Accountability:Chose well: Joe, readings, BP, CI<CO.
Bonus: 5 mins grooming Tumble, annual exam. Just one thing: bupkes
Workin’ on it: 143.3, H20x4, active 2:17
Mindful March
15: Stop. Breathe. Notice. Repeat regularly.
Long annual exam with new PA (liked her), led into an even longer all day sojourn in the ER. Both PA and Dr’s Sr. partner were concerned swollen, pitted left leg was recurrence of DVT so sent for ultrasound. Good news, no clots show in ultrasound, ER Dr. things cellulitis, will pick up antibiotic rx later today. Will vent later about the 50 mile round trip to the wrong ER, 3 hr wait after ultrasound 'til triage nurse, then ‘nother 2 hr wait til 5 mins w/ER doc, but only if I can’t help myself. Will remind myself of what PA said at exam, it’s all gone out from my head, thankfully she writes great notes. Focusing on being thankful :}
Lisa Levi! And what a smile that six year old has. Infectuous.
Congrats Machka, sad you can’t see the other two.
KJ likewise Joaquin! “being warm” amen, sister amen.
Barbie ((hugs)) to you and Jake. Extra puppy ((hugs)).
Katla What a horribly rough time. Thankful for the paramedics but to be honest, wish they’d have taken DH to hospital where he could get testing and treatment. . .eventually
Cheryl {brr} the things some people do for fun! SMH.
Joe stayed up all day to ferry me back and forth to the various ER’s. He expressed the hope that this will help him return to a more normal sleeping pattern. Inwardly rejoicing as that is my hope too, but never realized he was discontented with the way things were. He slept all the way from 8pm to 3:30 am with only one “break”, a vast improvement over his usual 4pm-1am cycle. My 5hrs sleep, wake 2, sleep 2-3 is constant when adjusted for the time change
Later, Lighter, lovelies!

KJ - Joaquin is such a cheeky chappy! I like the 5-7 age range. They seem to make such huge strides very quickly.
Bea pick up today. Weather is fine 🙂

Can't resist posting this, taken yesterday at Fatto's. Edie has pinched Bea's headband. She and DH have been playing a card game. I bought her rabbit t shirt for her birthday last year.

I hate tracking. But it works. I've proved this to myself over and over and over. But it doesn't work for me without accountability. So I'm trying MFP community for the first time today. (Hi!)

Charlene ~ Hi!
Heather ~ How wonderful that your grands love their grandfather so much and he takes the time to be there for them.
Barbara ~ The sleeping patterns that you and Joe have are pretty much identical to those of my husband and myself.
Lisa & Kelly & Heather ~ Great photos of the grands!

Morning ladies
Im over with Tracy and Miles
DCF had a meeting with, mom dad and Carmine here last night.. because of Miles they will be visiting once a week..
Carmine has been nothing but horrible to both her parents, but mostly her dad,and he is the one who has been paying for her phone and her guitar and guitar lessons..Kyle has a temper.never has ever hit anyone but will break things..
And he has tried to talk calmly to Carmine and they have just been snotty.. and Tracy has told them they are burning bridges where they really shouldnt..Kyle crushed there phone and took there phone off the plan and has taken off guitar lessons..he has tried to speak kindly and get backtalk and nastiness back..
He left for work this morning crying..and went to bed crying.. the poor guy is trying his best and Carmine only tried apologized so they could get the guitar back..isnt happening..5 -

Actually we did about 100 miles a day. Except for the final day we doubled it as we thought there would be increment weather. We stayed a hotel/motel in each location. Absolutely loved the small city of Kake!! They have a 10 room hotel and their only customers are the tours of Dangerous Waters!!4 -
Hi - I'm a 65 yo woman who's trying to navigate MFP after using Spark People. Just looking for a place to go for insight and support! I have 80-90 pounds to lose. I lost 10 in November/December but then gained them back over the holidays and on my vacation - now I'm trying again (I always keep trying and I've lost 4. It seems so much harder at this age! Am I too old for this group?6

Barbie- Wow! What a day for Jake (and you!). I am glad they got him sorted out and you know what the next step is.
Heather- AH, yes. Bea is a year older than Joaquin! It just goes so fast. I remember when Karen VA and I were both waiting for our first grands to be born.
Karen VA- Are they still living in Europe/France?
Sue in WA- Joaquin is in preschool. He is signed up for kindergarten in the fall. He has reached the age where he "knows everything". lol
________
Kelly,
No, they are back in California but are attending French School to stay as immersed in their French heritage as possible. I have some recent photos: Olivia turned 5 in February and Phoenix will be 4 in April. Phoenix is taller than Olivia!

Welcome, tracking is an eye opener to make you realize what kind of poop u r putting in your body2 -
GRANDMALLIE guess what I got in the mail yesterday!!!! I was so touched by your taking the time to mail me a card with words written on it! No one does that anymore. Thank you so much, I will cherish it and it won’t go in the trash, thx again.6

Carol - He is the most wonderful grandfather anyone could wish for. I am in awe of his ability to relate to children of any age. They adore him. And he isn't their natural grandad. I married him just over 17 years ago. This May is 19 years since the day we met.
When Max was born he was worried that he would be not included by DDIL etc, but he took to the kids so well. They are the light of his life and a unexpected bonus.
Gorgeous girls Karen. And how great that they are keeping up the French. Our lot go to a bilingual school for Spanish, but they don't speak it outside school, even though I try.

Allie--Just something I have been wondering about. Is Kyle Carmine's dad?
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE0 -
No exercise today since Safelite was supposed to be here at 8. Well, at 8:30 they called to say that the windshield was in but it was cracked. So looks like I’m driving back to NC with a cracked windshield. We THINK that by having it replaced in NC we won’t have to pay the deductible. Not sure of that.
No exercise planned for tomorrow since I’ll be traveling. And then probably none for Thurs since I work and I’ll be trying to catch up (like I need to go to CVS)
So...I cleaned. The bathtub, washed the floor, vacuumed, did 3 loads of laundry (I don’t think two of the dryers were getting hot so I used the dryers on the floor below me)
Cheryl – your birthday in AK looks amazing.
Allie – I wonder if Carmine isn’t acting out because things are being taken away from them?
Shrinkingotter – welcome! There isn’t anyone who is too old for this group. Yes, it is harder to lose weight at our age (yuk, those words) but it CAN be done.
Michele
who too soon will be back in NC0 -
Home from San Diego. Had a wonderful time.I didn't lose any weight but didn't gain either. We ate out a lot but also did quite a bit of walking. Dear son knows I like fish so we ate at 2 seafood restaurants on the beach and watched the sun go down over the ocean. Also went to Old Town San Diego and indulged in Mexican food but did lots of walking there and on the beach with the granddog, Dude.
Now I have to get back to my mom's estate stuff and getting a title elimination so that old mobile can finally move out. Our new renter is proving to be a really nice guy so that is a relief.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA6 -
Vicki - yes ,Tracy and Kyle have been together since she got pregnant at 18 with Carmine...they finally got married in 2018...
Pip- yes i went on the QT with Kirby and got your address so I could send you some cheering up...im so glad you enjoyed it..
I dropped Homer off this morning at the vet for an Ultrasound and just picked him up a bit ago .. glad Tom is footing that bill 379.40 but the outcome is poor Homer has Prostate cancer.. drs prognosis is 1-6 months ,Tom is beside himself.. so I have Alfie with me and we are over here waiting for them to get back from work..
