Ah, Rebecca, cuteness overload... Love seeing your little family! It really was wonderful to have a whole day of energy... I didn't know how tired I'd been until I wasn't. Might just be the placebo effect, but I don't care! It felt glorious...

Question… what do you think of my idea that Halloween be celebrated on the last Saturday of October rather than the 31st? I think it’s better for the kids and the party goers. What do you think?
RvRita in Roswell NM
It was celebrated on the Saturday in Seoul.
In Australia, Halloween is almost a non-event. Not only did we have no kids come to our house, I didn't even see any in the streets. It was very quiet here.

Dinner and then got bored and started feeding it to Giner the dog. But Tracy swears she heard him say all done when she asked him if he was all done..
He is a hoot that boy.. went up to Susan's tonight for dinner we had tomato basil soup and salad, they had wine..we haven't gotten together in forever and it was nice.. we don't invite Lil anymore and she is very unsteady on her feet and nobody wants her falling at there place..
Will check in with ya'll in the a.m.3 -

Looking at your goals for the year, trying and failing to learn Basic was what made me change my degree path from Management Information Systems to a degree path I wrote myself. I created an interdisciplinary studies degree in Writing and Personal Communications BA.

I should add C# to that list of programming languages I need to become more proficient in. I can program up to a certain level now, but there's a way to go before I'd be proficient.
I get a kick out of programming. It still amazes me that I can type text and voila ... all sorts of things happen.
Sometimes I think I'd like to get a Technical Writing qualification. I do Technical Writing, but I don't have an official qualification for it.
Many years ago, I wanted to be a author of fictional works ... short stories, novels, etc. but I discovered that my writing talent lies in instruction manuals.

Slightly late but ...
1. Smell - freshly cut grass on our lawn.
2. Technology - the amazing advancements in medical technology.
3. Colour - blue. Beautiful blue sky peaking through the clouds.

I was able to talk to DH in his new care facility. He is pleased with the support and and his progress. This is very good news.
I am hoping to visit tomorrow. There is a bus that may drop me off and return to bring me back to the apartment. I hope that works.
Keeping my fingers crossed for good luck. 🤞🏻 ❤️ 🤞🏻5 -

I am so happy for you! Take in your energy with a gracious heart. I go to sleep at night, noticing no pain whatsoever and it is amazing. I know I am in between "episodes" but I have pain meds if it does occur. Nice to know I do not have to endure the spasms again. Plus I have my powder laxative to off set the pain meds so my processing stays in check. Such a fine dance.
Yes my cute little family, I don't think I have ever seen Athena sad but for a moment. She has hurt hersef, had a hard cry then is over it. Even that one time when she was in the hospital for dehydration, she weathered it, and captured the hearts of all the nurses.💖

Machka You look so much better than I did after my second nose cancer removal. Both eyes were black and with the wound and stitches I looked like a pirate.
Heather thank you so much for sharing your cruise. Sorry about the heavy seas.
Katlalove that a long time friend is coming for a visit. ((hugs held extra long)) Fingers Xd for your bus trip to visit DH.
Mary the very happiest of birthdays. So sad and shocking about the assault. Hope PT is as successful for you as it has been for me.
Vicki thankful you and your pastor were there for your friend.
Rebecca the 29th seems like a long time to wait…
Welcome @mtumale!
Kay did I miss your birthday? Belated best wishes.
Lisa so glad you had a lovely day out. Seems like it’s been a long time coming, glad you’re finally getting help.
Michele did I read that right, Vince hasn't started putting out holiday decorations?
Our line dance teacher announced this morning that her car was smashed into while she was teaching our class Tuesday night. Moved her car more than six feet and completely crushed the rear passenger door. No one heard the crash. Wasn’t discovered till she and the last 3 dancers left. County sheriffs came within 10 minutes and were great, kind, efficient, thorough. This morning they told her they caught the guy. Shout out to Curry County Sheriff’s Department, with thanks.

Coming in to Lisbon. Misty and damp. We will walk around a bit straight from the ship but both of us have been several times before. Rain can put you off!!!!
I did floor exercises today while DH went to the gym. More watercolour this morning and a ballroom class, because the ship is late arriving because of the weather. Apparently, our home city has been battered by a named storm after we left.
Love Heather, entering the Tagus5 -

This is only Step 1 - the initial biopsy.
I've already been told that the chances are very high that I'll be going for nose surgery soon.
I'm sorry you've gone through the nose surgery twice.

Rebecca: Good to know you are feeling more like yourself.
Katla: Hope the bus works out. It will give you a measure of independence for visiting DH
Machka: Good vibes for a successful outcome with the treatments. DH looked much worse after his biopsies.
Lisa: Long May the energy flow

🎉🥳🎂 Happy 65th Birthday! 🎂🥳🎉
Sorry you were physically assaulted. Was that why you needed the medical care/PT?
🥰 the Hallowe’en and kiddy photos.
November Gratitude
1. The warm smell of dinner cooking in the oven.
2. The internet, which connects me to all my friends here
3. The blazing gold of autumn leaves outside my window
Yesterday I managed to get 6 containers of spring bulbs planted in a brief break in the heavy rain. This morning it is a glorious clear autumn day, so I may get some more done.
I am having a me day as DH has gone out birdwatching with his 2 buddies.
I have Shakespeare Study this afternoon, so will read the next act in A Winter’s Tale after I finish this post.
Tomorrow is a full day with Latin Study first thing and Parchment Craft after lunch.
Working successfully to drop a few lbs before the festive season kicks in. Prevention is better than cure! 😝
🥳🎉 Cheers to all those celebrating.
Virtual (((hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.
🙋♀️ Miele failte to the newbies.

PS: Just spent 30 minutes swapping out my summer/winter clothes 😇3 -
3rd day of watercolour lessons. I had to copy a small picture. Quite pleased with my efforts.
For some reason the pic isn't loading, even though we are back on 4g as sailing up the Tagus .DH also enjoyed himself. Waiting now for Foxtrot class to begin.

Good morning ladies
Loving all the Halloween and family photos. We are a great looking bunch
Rebecca - glad your surgery has been scheduled and that you are feeling better. Love the Athena photos.
Michele - BK is certainly an interesting place to work.Jerry drinking and now getting your hours back? Glad you got your roof replaced, it's always a good feeling to get that maintenance done. Mine has moss in places but I'm crossing fingers it lasts for a while longer.
Heather - crossing fingers you get some calm sunny weather on your cruise. That watercolor class sounds like fun!
Annie - glad your mom is OK with having people over for her 90th. Sounds like you're putting on a nice spread.
Barbara - that's something about your line dancing teacher's car getting smashed. Glad they found the perp - I'm kind of assuming his blood alcohol was still high when the cops caught him, lol. Of course he could have had another reason he did a hit and run.
Terri - I got busy swapping out summer/winter clothes last week. Found a few more items to donate to the thrift store.
Lisa- glad to hear you're feeling good and got a lot of things caught up outside. Corey is a hunk by the way.
Katiebug - I'm really curious what's in that package they keep delivering to you. In fact, I probably would have opened it by now.Glad you are feeling better.
Katla - being able to ride the bus to visit your DH sounds great. I'm sure he'll be very happy to have you visiting him on a more regular basis.
Machka - I love hearing about your upcoming spring/summer and outside tasks you are doing. Glad you are getting that spot on your nose taken care of.
Vicki - how sad about your friend's sister passing away like that. Grateful the pastor was able to come by. I was also glad to hear the computer system came back up at the hospital. Hopefully everything is getting back on track.
My friend was able to get DH's truck sold yesterday, so I'll meet the buyer this morning and we'll get the paperwork done so he can get the title transferred over. I want to scoot out to the shop today and start moving stuff around - that shop was so crammed with that big truck in there, a person could barely walk.
It's a frosty 33 degrees here right now. Big wind and rain coming tonight and tomorrow so I need to get things picked up and put away. I noticed one of the gutters on the shop is kind of coming loose - needs to be replaced and rain splatters by the door and seeps in a little. I think I've found a solution in the meantime. Crossing fingers we don't lose power.
Hard to believe temps were in the 80's here a couple weeks ago. Weatherman is projecting low 20's and possible snow middle of next week. Rosie has plenty of sweaters and DH's insulated sweatshirts I kept will come in handy.
I asked my 90 year old neighbor about his thermostat settings. He said 73f during the day, 67f at night. I'm aiming for 62f at night 66f daytime. I'm cautious what the electric bill will be without the woodstove going.
That's the latest. Make it a fabulous day!
