Lisa - When you fly to Hawaii to visit, plan a plane change in San Francisco and I'll drive to the airport and visit, or take you and Corey out for a meal between flights.

Heather good decision! It sounds like it is in her best interest too. She needs rest to get over her cold.

Heather you did the right thing. Maybe she was more miffed at her cold than at you. I know when sickness interferes with my plans I get irritated at being sick.

Just had another mango smoothie. Seems to be working well. Yay!

What a wonderful invitation, Kim! Right now, I'm still not in shape to fly. Long flights in particular make me flinch at the thought. I still have to be within a few seconds of a bathroom at least a dozen times a day. :| That's down quite sharply from a year ago when it was 25 or more times a day so there's that. I have my hopes this will get better in the months to come. I've not been to Hawaii, though Corey went during his previous life.

Heather - Sounds like things worked out with your DSIL. Perhaps humanity will come to realize that the easiest way to refrain from spreading germs is to not be around other people when you're ill.

Got the laundry done yesterday, the vacuuming done today, refrained from buying a knock-off Roomba Robot Vacuum for $99, resisted the temptation...

    Love y'all,

Worked and then the soup kitchen. Nothing real exciting. Just work tomorrow and then I lector at the church.

Tracey – is that the no fire snow on your ornaments?

Christmas drive: don’t ask me to explain this, but I have absolutely no drive to write out the Christmas cards. Me...the person who was stringing the popcorn in May...has no desire to write out the cards. It really only takes a few hours. Maybe what I should do is send a card to someone only after they send one to me. I don’t know

Lanette – I never thought about it, but you’re right, walking alone is relaxing to me. I can stop and chat with a neighbor and I don’t have someone behind me saying “can we go yet”, I can stop and look at a plant if I so desire. Yes, these are some of the reasons I like to walk by myself.

Barbara – the Roomba wouldn’t knock the trees over, but it would try to go where they are. Honestly, it isn’t worth reprogramming them for one month. I can get by vacuuming for the month. Brushing Tumble certainly sounds better than those other projects you had

“Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me”. I just got a call from our doctor’s office. When I saw the name on the caller ID, I didn’t remember going for any test that I needed the results of, and to my knowledge Vince didn’t either. I didn’t call them with a question and need a call back. Well….it seems that every month they had a drawing for those who did the Medicare wellness and I won for the month of November. I won a $50 gas gift card. With the price of gas, we can take Vince’s SUV and use up the $50 in one swoop...lol So Merry Christmas to me!!!

Cleaned the kitchen and sunroom floors. I swear, we must have the dirtiest floors in Newton. Still haven’t heard from Jess when she’s supposed to be here. Oh, Barbie, she wants to bring them here because she doesn’t have room to put them up. It’s not a big deal. Fortunately, I have most of the things (cleaning, food bought) from the last time they were supposed to come. So I’m not stressing any more. I made desserts that Vince will eat if they don’t come

Jess just called. Seems Teresa and her kids (still not sure if her husband is with them or not) will be here around 11. Jess think she and Colby will be here earlier, but she’s not sure. Teresa had to wait until the kids were out of school (no surprise here)

Cindy – “hi”. We own a condo in Titusville.

Rita – those trees are gorgeous. Is that one you made?

Heather – you made the right call. Perhaps she is relieved. Now she can really rest.

Thank you for our new thread Barbie!
Welcome December. I can't believe how quickly you've arrived!
Wish I had some list to follow and post like last month. That was just wonderful. Thank you to whomever shared that. Off to work in my cave. Have a great Thursday.

Love and Blessings, Carla, in MN

    That was me. :)

    There is this one:

If you're interested in the Action for Happiness Calendar ...

    Do Good December
This month, we're encouraging you to carry out small acts of kindness.

Or we could post something we're thankful for, or happy about, related to the holiday season.

December 1 - I love the Christmas music. :) Come December 1, that's almost all I play. Christmas music or classical music (when I have to think at work or when we're in the car).

December 2 - Christmas decorations! We're lagging behind a bit because I usually like to decorate on December 1. But we got the decorations upstairs on Dec 2. Today I'll rearrange furniture and make a start.

December 3 - Summer. My favourite season. And we are finally having a few days of decent weather after a very wild and woolly spring. That's not saying the good weather will last (thanks La Nina) but there should be more of it.

Just saw your post, Barbara ...
