    12/26: DNW - Heading home tomorrow. It has been a great Christmas with our two sons and their gals at Wrightsville Beach, NC. It has been in the 20s and 30s here. My youngest brought his hyper Husky, which was expected, and a teeny kitten that he rescued from his attic. She's two weeks old now. He feeds her every 3 or 4 hours. He's such a good momma. We have our cat who is very leery of the dog and the kitten. I have not worked out nor tracked food for 3 days, but should be able to get back on track today.

    Thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday! Obviously, looking at my weight this morning, I enjoyed myself. That was the plan! It’s -9F here right now, wind chill -35F. Not going out! I am planning to make a pot of jambalaya to warm us up tonight. Yum! To the rest of you in the path of this wicked cold storm, stay warm and safe.

    Happy Christmas Eve to all. I’m not doing much baking since we’re pretty much locked down, so not too many sweets around, but I do plan to make a mince pie today and homemade cranberry sauce. I made a really yummy jambalaya soup last night with Andouille sausage, chicken, and shrimp — perfect for a zero and below (F, not C!) day. I’ve also been indulging in a box of beautiful chocolates that DH got for my birthday. If I gain a couple of pounds, oh well, it’s Christmas, and they’ll come off. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Oh, and this little boy is my present to myself — coming home either next week or the week after, depending on driving weather. Looking for a name now. (Lavender refers to his collar color.) 😍

    @RockinRobyn672 I used to live in Wrightsville Beach and then just across the bridge at Mayfaire for 8 years! Beautiful place, though better when it’s not so cold.

    12/23. 136.6 - no structured walking, my day for childminding 2 little DGS.
    12/24. 137.4 - oh dear, Christmas goodies and no walking showing up already!! Yesterday was a washout; heavy rain all day & preparation for the big day as well as nails and hair appointments.
    12/25 🎄 DNW - Happy Christmas everyone & hope all my friends across the pond are able to stay safe and warm with the massive storm you are having 🤞🙏. Came away for Christmas, brought our caravan up to a site close to DD, DS & their families, so concentrating on making sure I'd brought all the presents etc, that forgot to pack the scales!! I'll still try to keep restrained, but it is Christmas, so when I get home at the weekend I'll see the damage!!. Managed to fit a 5.5 mile walk in after we arrived & set up on site.
    12/26 - DNW - Had a wonderful day with family, all the little DGC were so excited and all presents loved. Managed 4 mile walked before rain came in the morning.
    12/27 DNW - boxing day at DS & family, managed 3 mile walk before we and 4 on our return. Plenty more goodies! Sticking to 2 meals per day and trying only to pick in between!!

    got care free in maintenance and the scale went up one lb at a time. Now I’m turning it around one lb at a time.

    THIS EVENING We start our 11-day Caribbean cruise (anniversary/birthday/new year’s).
    I have only banked -1.4 LBS for this cruise, which I suspect I will blow on the first day. I threw in my travel scale, although it tends to register higher than my home scale, which I hope will keep me semi-focused.
    Happy my son and daughter-in-law are coming with us. I'm sorry my daughter and son-in-law can't come, maybe next year.

Our big family dinner is today. Tomorrow will not be good on the scale, but I will begin the task of getting it back down this week. No excuses….there is some new fat in this weight!

    12/27 -200.8- (Trend weight 198.9) Up another 0.2 but that’s not bad after our huge Family Christmas dinner yesterday. Forced all the leftovers on the kids to take home. They all took tons of goodies home too and still a lot left. Gonna box them up and force them on others whenever possible. I don’t need all this fudge and cookies in this house!
