@quiltingjane Any particular place you want to cruise to for your big 50?
I have always wanted to take a European river cruise but our anniversary falls in December and that is not the time of the year to be on any River in Europe.
Have a wonderful year planning your trip!

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.

People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 5 years with amazing results!

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

We are unstoppable not because we do not have failures but because we continue on despite them. - paraphrase of original quote by Beau Taplin

Up and down - just riding the waves of life. 🌊 🏄‍♀️ (My new mantra-3/19/22)

12/23 125.5 Not sure how I missed posting yesterday and instead of notifying me that I hadn’t logged in when I actually had, MFP DIDN’T notify when I hadn’t!
12/24 125.5 Great Greek for OMAD yesterday because they are closed today and tomorrow. Local DD with whom we have annual plans is sick again so plans may be cancelled. Family tradition of pizza for Christmas Eve dinner since 1977 or 1978.
12/25 124.5 MERRY CHRISTMAS! We didn’t get pizza. We ate GG leftovers. Now DH seems to have a bug!

    SW136.6
    Day/Weight/Comment
12/23. 136.6 - no structured walking, my day for childminding 2 little DGS.
12/24. 137.4 - oh dear, Christmas goodies and no walking showing up already!! Yesterday was a washout; heavy rain all day & preparation for the big day as well as nails and hair appointments.
12/25 🎄 Happy Christmas everyone & hope all my friends across the pond are able to stay safe and warm with the massive storm you are having 🤞🙏. Came away for Christmas, brought our caravan up to a site close to DD, DS & their families, so concentrating on making sure I'd brought all the presents etc, that forgot to pack the scales!! I'll still try to keep restrained, but it is Christmas, so when I get home at the weekend I'll see the damage!!. Managed to fit a 5.5 mile walk in after we arrived & set up on site.
12/26 - Had a wonderful day family, all the little DGC were so excited and all presents loved. Managed 4 mile walked before rain came in the morning.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

12:26 186.0 I hope it comes off as impressively as it went on! This is an example of how quickly I can gain. I didn’t eat an epic amount of food just that every bite was very calorie dense and rich. Looking forward to big salads and the gym.
