12/24 / 177.6 / It's been very busy at the house. Work is wrapped up but I am still dealing with on call emergencies. Today my dad leaves to start his journey back home. There is lots going on at the house today.
12/25 / 179.2
12/26 / 178.6
12/27 / 179 / Back to tracking every morsel. I definitely learned some things about myself this last month. I have a month until I go away for a three week vacation so I really need to get my mind right. Hope you all enjoyed the holiday season!
12/28 / 179.6 / Everything was on track last night but I finished it with a mini snack binge. I did get out for a walk despite feeling unwell.
12/29 / 180.4
12/30 / 178.8 / On track again for the last couple of days and feeling good. Cold is mostly kicked and most of Christmas is packed away. Can't believe 2022 is almost behind us!
12/31 / 177 / Happy New Year's Eve! We have gone for our walk and I'll see if I can get some more movement in before we go out for dinner with our friends.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I’ve never been a New Year’s resolution person but I do enjoy the energy of so many people focusing on health. I can use the expanded support system this year! I’ve got some work to do.5 -

Day/Weight/Comment
12/23. 136.6 - no structured walking, my day for childminding 2 little DGS.
12/24. 137.4 - oh dear, Christmas goodies and no walking showing up already!! Yesterday was a washout; heavy rain all day & preparation for the big day as well as nails and hair appointments.
12/25 🎄 DNW - Happy Christmas everyone & hope all my friends across the pond are able to stay safe and warm with the massive storm you are having 🤞🙏. Came away for Christmas, brought our caravan up to a site close to DD, DS & their families, so concentrating on making sure I'd brought all the presents etc, that forgot to pack the scales!! I'll still try to keep restrained, but it is Christmas, so when I get home at the weekend I'll see the damage!!. Managed to fit a 5.5 mile walk in after we arrived & set up on site.
12/26 - DNW - Had a wonderful day with family, all the little DGC were so excited and all presents loved. Managed 4 mile walked before rain came in the morning.
12/27 DNW - boxing day at DS & family, managed 3 mile walk before and 4 on our return. Plenty more goodies! Sticking to 2 meals per day and trying only to pick in between!!
12/28 DNW - just short of 9 miles walked yesterday to Hardwick Hall, had a coffee and walked back, didn't quite beat the rain, had a lazy reading afternoon.
12/29 DNW - 9.09 miles walked after we got a window in the rain !!
12/30 DNW - 6.6 miles walked yesterday after DH & I childminded our 2 DGS, it was nice for him to spend some time with them too. We travel back home today so tomorrow it will be the moment of truth on the scales!
12/31. 137.4 -pleased with that, could have been a lot worse!! Now to lose a couple of pounds ready for our holiday in a week, no picking goodies!! 7.38 miles walked.
1/1/2023 HAPPY NEW YEAR , hope it's a happy and healthy one for all of us. 137.4 - no structured walking as it rained all day 😮💨, but danced all night at New Year's Eve dance. A gain of 0.8 over the festive period, not too bad at all, now to knuckle down and lose it!
Not a diet, a healthy life style & I'm worth it?? 😄4 -

12/23 - 178.6
Thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday! Obviously, looking at my weight this morning, I enjoyed myself. That was the plan! It’s -9F here right now, wind chill -35F. Not going out! I am planning to make a pot of jambalaya to warm us up tonight. Yum! To the rest of you in the path of this wicked cold storm, stay warm and safe.
12/24 - 178.8
Happy Christmas Eve to all. I’m not doing much baking since we’re pretty much locked down, so not too many sweets around, but I do plan to make a mince pie today and homemade cranberry sauce. I made a really yummy jambalaya soup last night with Andouille sausage, chicken, and shrimp — perfect for a zero and below (F, not C!) day. I’ve also been indulging in a box of beautiful chocolates that DH got for my birthday. If I gain a couple of pounds, oh well, it’s Christmas, and they’ll come off. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Oh, and this little boy is my present to myself — coming home either next week or the week after, depending on driving weather. Looking for a name now. (Lavender refers to his collar color.) 😍
12/25 - 178.8
🎄Merry Christmas!🎄
12/26 - 180
I knew it. But it’s ok, I decided to enjoy the few treats we had for Christmas. Just one piece each of mince pie left, so I’ll be back on track today or tomorrow. I’m looking forward to turkey leftovers! Yum!
12/27 - 179.6
I almost skipped weighing this morning, but decided it couldn’t be worse than yesterday. 😁
12/28 - 180
No problem. My calories were low yesterday, so just residue from birthday-Christmas week.
12/29 - 178.8
He’s here! We still haven’t found his name, but we’re working on it. No accidents so far (his breeder did a great job with early training) and he’s already asking out. I’m looking forward to a lot of fun with this guy!
12/30 - 178.6
I mostly ate smart yesterday. My only goal for the next month is to try not to eat after 7, and if I do, to keep my snack calories below 200. And puppy has a name now — Diamonds One for the Books, aka Booker!
12/31 - 178.4
Okay, I’d hoped to be down a bit more for the year, but hey, I’m not up since last year. I’ll take that for now!
01/01 - 179.2
🎉HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎉 Today’s the day. I’m going to make a serious effort to do what I claim I want to do—stop snacking at night other than water, tea, or bouillon. I’ve been telling myself I’m trying to do that for, jeesh, probably years. I didn’t used to snack at night but I’ve gotten into this terrible habit over the past 4 or so years. Time to either do the thing or decide to stay fat, because that’s essentially what I’ve done. So that’s my goal for 2023–knock off the night-time eating. I think the weight loss will follow. See you next round, all!

Happy New Year! Here's to a healthy, positive 2023.

Day/Weight/Comment
I’m late starting this challenge. My last holiday guests just got on the plane. It’s been a chaotic holiday season. Looking for a re-set. I’ve been unhappy with where I”m at for quite some time, so back to MFP. I badly need to de-sugar, de-junk, and get back on plan. More veggies, more protein, more exercise, less empty calories.

12/27 - Starting Day - 187.4,
12/28 - 187.8 - I think my weight is still going up after an intense holiday filled with sugar. Hopefully this is the high point and it can start coming down. Yesterday was a pretty good day with healthy and light choices all day. Goal for today: Another healthy day with 30 min of exercise as well.
12/29- 187.8 - Birthday - allowed myself a piece of cake and ice cream - somewhat guiltily, but it’s my birthday, so I’m celebrating!
12/30 - 187.6 - Back on track. Filled the fridge with fruit and veggies. No snacking today.
12/31 - 187.4 - 36 squats/12 push ups
1/1/2023 - 186.0 - Some cheese and crackers, ¼ c of nuts, and a scoop of ice cream during the celebration last night. Still, I was intentional about what I chose to eat and the scale is headed in the right direction. 36 squats/ 12 push ups.

12/31 -199.8- (Trend weight 199.2) My son & I decided last minute to go shopping in a big small town instead of further away in the big big town where they have Golden Corral. We both felt we just won’t not need that much food and keeping it under control can be hard there for small towners like us. I ended up with a trickle of a drop on the scale which is way better than a gain. I found a few bargains and some a few new Christmas décor pieces at ½ off. I had the worst sleep (or lack thereof) of my life last night. Today is going to be a rough day!
01/01 -199.2- (Trend weight 199.2)A small overnight drop helps me find the right direction. Now to stay on course! See you next round everyone. For those of us who had scale damages, it’s nothing we can’t undo! Happy New Year!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 5 years with amazing results!

12/23 125.5 Not sure how I missed posting yesterday and instead of notifying me that I hadn’t logged in when I actually had, MFP DIDN’T notify when I hadn’t!
12/24 125.5 Great Greek for OMAD yesterday because they are closed today and tomorrow. Local DD with whom we have annual plans is sick again so plans may be cancelled. Family tradition of pizza for Christmas Eve dinner since 1977 or 1978.
12/25 124.5 MERRY CHRISTMAS! We didn’t get pizza. We ate GG leftovers. Now DH seems to have a bug!
12/26 127.0 We had so looked forward to spending some time with DGGS (6 months) on his first Christmas but sickness at his house and at ours prevented that. Our Dear Neighbor brought us Christmas dinner because Carl is sick. Hidden salt? Sugar? Lots of carbs! Now my throat feels funny.
12/27 126.5 Can’t say I’m happy about this but looking at the graph, my weight appears to have been creeping up since soon after my husband’s first surgery in September. January 11 is his next follow up and he should be allowed to drive again. Thank goodness!
12/28 126.5 DH has been sick since 12/23 and couldn’t swallow yesterday because his throat was so sore. Trip to Urgent Care - Not flu, not COVID, not strep. Extremely swollen lymph nodes. Steroid and antibiotic.Hope he feels better today, I’m not feeling great myself. Picked up Chinese on the way home yesterday. General Tso’s chicken for me (so much sugar!) and cashew shrimp for him. He couldn’t eat it so it’s in the refrigerator. I hope he can swallow today.
12/29 127.5 Not surprised, Ate the rest of my Chinese entree. He ate most of his so I froze the rest as a “TV dinner.” I need to get back on my program. All of my major joints hurt.
12/30 125.5 Wasn’t hungry, didn’t eat until after 5pm. Only 9 total carbs and joint inflammation seems better already.
12/31 124.5 After DH’s PT yesterday we ate at Great Greek. They’ll be closed on Sunday.
1/1/2023 124.0 HAPPY NEW YEAR! Still not feeling “up to snuff.” Went to bed at 9 last night.2 -

12/28: 135.1 - Yesterday was a good day in terms of exercise and especially eating. Although I had things that had sugar in them (both natural and added, such as orange juice and honey added to cranberries), I did not have dessert for the first time in a while.
12/29: 135.1 - Went out to dinner last night, but stuck with a salad.
12/30: 133.6 - Loss is helped by TMI. Got my workouts in and ate fairly healthy.
12/31: 134.3 - Last day of 2022. I’ve come along way this year - getting to my goal weight and mostly maintaining. My trend lately hasn’t been great, so looking forward to the extra motivation and discipline a new year brings.
1/1: 134.3 - I didn’t indulge too much last night. Pizza night and a banana cake since we need to use up some very ripe bananas. That is a lot of carbs right there. Excited to start 2023 15 pounds lower than I started 2022.

Round 209 SW:260
12/23 -- 260
12/24 -- 258.3 Christmas coming...so hard to resist the goodies but will be mindful at least!
12/25 -- 259 Merry Christmas to all that celebrate it! Trying to up my water intake today to try and balance out any bad decisions on my part! Not gonna stress too much about it though. Its super cold here in San Antonio..24 degrees this morning. I guess Texas forgot we are in tropics. Stay warm everyone!
12/26 -- 259.6 OK I can live with that, not nearly as tragic as I expected. Checking in early and keeping my commitment to log in and weigh daily. Off to work this cold Texas morning. I work 24 hour shifts so will check in again tomorrow. Y'all have a safe one!
12/27-- 257.5 Wow...crazy long shift at work. This holiday loss must be attributed to the "who the heck has time to stop and eat diet"
12/28--257.8 Off to work again today. Trying to make better choices. Its a struggle. Most of the work days I have consist of grazing throughout the day on the run mostly. Working on trying to find better ways to manage..seems that is where I get stuck the most!
12/29-- 258 Whew! Hectic couple of days! Love catching up reading how everyone doing. Have a great day everyone!
12/30-- 259.4 and whoop..there is that holiday gain I was wondering where it was.. back on track today!
12/31--260. And...we are back where we started the week. Oh well...I guess it will do for being an holiday week. Nose to the grindstone again....
1/1/2023 HAPPY NEW YEAR! -- 257 And Whoosh! Gotta love it when that happens

12/23 / 176.8
12/24 / 177.6 / It's been very busy at the house. Work is wrapped up but I am still dealing with on call emergencies. Today my dad leaves to start his journey back home. There is lots going on at the house today.

1/1 / 178.2 / Had a ton of fun last night with my husband and friends. Happy New Year! 2022 was good to me - I ended on a disappointing note but overall I weigh less to start 2023 than I did 2022. Time to make good progress in 2023!2 -

72 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

I am about 8 kg along the way to lose 32 kg. I use multiple tape measurements (cm) around my body because they aren't affected by salt intake. Apparently I've been trying to lose weight since September 2012, the last time I was at goal weight. Let's see if stopping eating sugary food is going to change things.

Hi I’m a
Audrea, 41, 5”8, 202.8lbs
Goal is 200.8lbs
Round 210
1/2-203.8 😵💫clearly all of the late night family movie nights with snacks are catching up with me. Just a few more days of vacation and really enjoying lots of time with the kids as I have had a really rough fall of working lots of OT. Will try and be more conscious to have a lighter dinner instead of all the second helpings and not indulge in late night movie snacks.
1/3-201.4 (so I joined the late night snacking challenge, and have been continuing the couch to 5k, and almost cried to see some progress. I have been battling depression eating since my dad passed away the day of the Capitol riots almost two years ago and haven’t been able to shake being consistent. Praying to be a healthier self with consistency and lifestyle change. Feel far away from my marathon running days at 145 but taking a step today. Today my goal is to calorie count and no snacking past dinner/8pm and to eat only my portion on my plate and not my kids and everything else !
1/4-203.8
1/5-201.6-second day back at work and all three kids back in school and activities so trying to adjust back to the very tight and long days. Thankfully I have been NOT LNS and sticking to the couch to 4K. Focusing on water, portions, and nothing in the mouth past dinner8!
1/6-200.6- late nights with kids and homework already and work deadlines. My focus is do workouts only if I’m able to get enough sleep and not beat myself up about it and No LNS and eating past dinner!!!!
