Good morning ladies!
Kylia thanks for the encouragement!
I'm waiting for my mom to get up so we can do her meds. Like many things, it only takes a moment, but the waiting takes awhile sometimes.
Dumbbells and horse are today, so should be plenty of exercise. My latest diet wrinkle is that I was eating tilapia five times a week, and apparently that's too much mercury. So I bought some chicken breasts; I need to cut them into 100 calorie portions and freeze most of them. Always tweaking the diet and exercise.
On the exercise side, I might add bird dogs to my dumbbell routine. It's a prelude to mountain climbers, which would be a good cardio boost.
Have a marvelous day, and make good choices!

M For me pure joy is found in the small moments of life talking with a salesclerk about day to day things and finding that spark where we both leave with a laugh or a smile. Taking a nap with DrewB where she falls asleep on top of me. Working with a student when they have a break through moment. Singing and letting the joy of the music transcend through me. Working on a piece of art and getting into the zone where I let the paint and brush speak for me so that it touches my soul. These are examples where I find joy.
Joy for me is finding my golden nuggets that connects me to my spirit. It will be different for each of us. For some of us it is the smile of our grandchild... the cuddles with our pets...our loved or ourselves making a breakthrough with an illness...working through a difficult situation and not giving up... Waking up and witnessing a beautiful sunset...Visiting a luscious garden...Being a witness as a young women describes surviving severe Covid and learning to work with God in her life instead of asking why me and making the changes she needs to make to make her life work the best she can by this story what a joy to be touched by her story.
Many years ago as part of an assignment we were to come up with a definition of what art is to you.
My response is Art is creating by touching a soul. When I view or create a work of art and it touches my soul I become one with the art. Joy for me is similar. When something touches me at that level that I feel the love that is joy and I become one with it.

Worked, then stopped at Sam’s to pick up my new glasses, then Michael’s to get aida cloth, then Aldi to do a little shopping, then on my way home Kohl’s to return the potato masher I got for Jess. I did see a few Halloween things on sale 80% off and it looks like next month I’ll be getting a $5 coupon so I’ll get them then. And if they’re not there...oh well.
Carla – congrats to Lacy
The plan for tomorrow is to do Kathy Anderson’s Step Workout for Beginners DVD then go to BK just to peel and slice the onions. Then I’m thinking I’ll go to the Dollar General since they’re the only ones who have the distilled water we like, then next door to Food Lion to get tortillas on sale, there must be a way to get from there to the WalMart in Conover so I’ll see if they have the saltines we like, by then the lady who does alterations should be open. Remember I told you I picked up Vince’s fanny pack that we use at Daytona? Well, seems she put in a new zipper, but there’s no pull. So I have to ask her how you close it, we sure can’t figure that out.
Vince heard that some higher-up said that Harley was going to go to all electric. Has anyone else heard this? If they do, I wonder how their clientele will take to this????
For the most part, Amazon delivers pretty quickly. They aren’t always the cheapest, tho. I’ve been waiting for months for these Birkenstocks that I want. A friend who lives in Germany is going to send me them. Even tho with the shipping, they’ll be expensive. But then again, I know that they’ll last a long time (my last ones did) so in the end it’ll be worth it. I’ve also been waiting for a pair of gray jeans to be in stock and they’re never in stock
Rebecca – more food porn…
Heather – great flowers
pip -I’m with the others, stop beating yourself up. It’s not like you killed anyone, did you. Before you know it, this’ll be a thing of the past. Everyone is right, ***KITTEN**** happens
Rita – what I hate about getting old(er) is that it takes SOOO long to heal
Beth – hope your husband gets better real fast. MORE snow for you??????
Sue WA – good luck at the cardiologist and have a safe trip
Lisa – the only thing I do regarding social media is Facebook and that’s mainly to keep in touch with the kids. Don’t do Twitter, don’t do Instagram or Snapchat. Can’t be bothered
Off to Newcomer bowling.

With my tablet, I can mention to my middle sister about the importance of keeping her skin and hair clean in private chat in Facebook messenger, and my Facebook feed is filled with products that help with that. Its pretty creepy! So you phone and computer listens and makes note of what you say or click "like".

I do have Alexa on, and that most likely is the culprit. I do like saying, " Alexa spell ___", and she does. That mere listening option pretty much does it.

I finally got caught up reading! Won't comment on the posts as it has taken me 3 days to catch up; but, love being a part of so many lives.
Got a replacement hearing aid for the one I lost on Tuesday and the dr. turned up the volume! I can hear so much better and am pleased.
I have been paying my brother-in-laws bills that come through his email address (mostly utilities) for the last two years and by some fluke got locked out of his account this week. I had given his email info to one of the people where he resides at assisted living hoping he would be able to see his email again. I think this person or maybe even the brother-in-law messed up. Went to Xfinity to try to get back in with no luck. So, I have spent a day going through his accounts and having the bills sent to my email. Just hoping I got what I needed.
It is in the 30's/40's here today and we are very surprised that there is a lizard in our house. I have no idea where it came from but first saw it at the bottom of the stairs that go up to our great room. I put a little bit of water on the kitchen floor so the poor thing would not die of lack of water.
Prayers and Good Wishes to All!

Ginny ... thanks for the sick time input. I had hoped with Covid we would get out of this culture of going to work sick. Evidently not. I do understand, though, the need to curtail those who stay home for illegitimate reasons and this, I suspect, was the supervisor's intent.
I have not been responsible for our chocolate lab since he broke my leg when he was a puppy. My guys have taken him outside when needed and have not allowed me near him much. He's very large and very strong. But ... my son is at work and my husband is in covid isolation ... so guess who? Cecil and I are coming to a fast understanding! He is not leashed trained at 2 years old or at least I can't control him on a leash ... he pulls me. So I am using the invisible fence. It's tricky because we have a vicious dog next door that attacked our guy last year and we're wary. But I'm timing our outside activity to when it looks like the other dog is not outside and so far Cecil and I are doing quite well. I take him around the property and just let him tear. He loves it! I'm also working on his barking for his dinner ... which I am fed up with ... and while he thinks he's going to win ... he can think again. He does not realize that I am deaf and his barking does not bother me much...

Last day of work for me this week as we leave for Ogallala tomorrow for a CMA rally. Will be back sometime Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to just getting away for a couple days. The lady that lived with us is going to come take care of the fur babies. Sounds like we could get some snow on Saturday and hope if so not enough to keep us from coming home.
Have a Blessed Weekend. Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE6 -
Amazon Prime I like Prime for all the reasons mentioned but do not have the card. The card makes it too easy for me to hit buy when I cannot afford the item. Got rid of all my credit cards and don’t want to get into that rut again! I do like Goodreads but don’t get on very much. I just wanted to see how many on here use it because we are recommending books to each other a lot. I find it interesting to get in that app and take a look around at what others are reading. Currently, I only have 2 friends on the App.
Yesterday did yoga for chronic pain, and weights- 2lbs, 10 reps- 4 reps. Back still tender but not bad. Accomplished 10,109 steps too!

Kylia- I am still in touch with a few of the old daycare kids, especially the boys that are my son's age. I had six all the same age. One I see often(his mom is one of the ones I walk with), refer to him as "my other bubba". A few I am still in touch with the parents more than the kids but a few of them check in once in a while.
Insomnia again last night- took a melatonin but didn't seem to help so two hours later, took another half pill, still wide awake so took my biochemical phosphate and finally got to sleep(those and a shower at 1:30AM) and finally got to sleep. Checked the melatonin this morning- it is the old bottle that I grabbed that is expired, that is why it didn't work. My Fitbit says I got 6 hrs of interrupted sleep. The night before it was so bad it couldn't track it or something.
Off today so unless I walk with my friend tonight, no walk for me today. Getting ready to run errands with dh, when he gets back from his mom. She was pissy because he got there half hour late so now he will be in a bad mood for at least a few hours, then again when it is closer to the time he has to go back over. He was over 1 1/2hrs late bringing her dinner last night(took 54min to get their food from Taco Bell-so surprised he didn't leave after waiting ten minutes) and she didn't say anything.
Will catch up on reading the rest of the posts when we get back(or now if I have time. I am all ready to go, just waiting on him).

Pip—Yum! Your meal looks divine. ⭐️
Rita— “APPRECIATE” is an excellent idea. ❤️
I visited DH after lunch. My timing was off and he needed rest. I’ll visit him again later today. 💖💕 💖4 -

Hello!
Yesterday morning started by looking out the kitchen window and seeing 3 deer standing in the front yard being bathed in the moonlight and highlighted by the snow. So peaceful and pretty.
Went downhill unfortunately after that. My doctor called and said the cologuard test came back positive. Whatever....DH insists I get a colonoscopy as the doctor recommends. I finally agreed and made that appointment to meet doctor, but really am not happy about it. Then did make the neurology appointment for migraines (probably remembered only because I had a migraine). I really am not sure between all these appointments when I am expected to work......Followed by a new bill for $200 for the EKG and the repeat mammogram (both of which I felt were unnecessary). I can afford it, but that isn't the principle. yes, I am whining. Just seems to be a lot of hoopla these days for more meds and procedures. Still fighting doctor about statins. My cholesterol ratio is great. I don't know.....thank you for letting me vent.
Tonight, I am going over to a GF house to mentor. Me? Mentor? She is 5 years younger. She is struggling with body image, weight, and self esteem. I get it. We all do. She has this OMG bubbly personality, caring spirit, and endless energy. She used the word DIET last night and that is a trigger word for me. This isn't a diet, it is a lifestyle full of choices. She returned clothes to a store that didn't fit and the salesperson was just really unprofessional. That didn't help last night. I did tell her that the best thing she did was go to the two stores that she has always had good luck with and bought a couple things that she felt good in. Then she went on to complain about her shape again. I told her today that she needs to start with couple of outfits that she feels good in for now. Then she could use new outfits as rewards as she makes lifestyle changes. All I can do is give her the tools and support. The rest of it is up to her. Wish me luck!
I probably ought to get some work done. it has been drizzly, flurrying, grey, and cold today. We have had 5 customers and maybe 3 phone calls. I really have no excuse to not have my work done.
Love you ladies!

Well according to the cardiologist's scale I have lost 13 pounds in the last 6 months. He was happy with that. I am too. BP was a little high but I just need to keep track of it. Otherwise everything is good and I get to stay off the statin.
Pip - those pancakes look good. Enjoy your time away.
Vicki - have a fun, safe weekend.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA6
