    Question for you all ...

When you were young (under 20), what did you want to be when you grew up?

Barbie thanks for taking such good care of us!

My goals for this month are:
    1. Not to gain weight while on a three week vacation to Florida to stay at a timeshare with son and daughter-in-law, and visit friends there on our way home.
    2. To continue to exercise. I will be bringing my kettle bell and electric bike.
    3. Continue to drink bone broth and apple cider vinegar.

Heather,im sure the price of your cruise was astronomical, Royal Caribbean has alot of newer ships but im going on this one because my friends are and ive been on it before.
Carnival is less expensive and here is hoping when we go its when school starts up again so there won't be a boatload of kids
I love kids mind you.but I want to rest and relax
I haven't planned any excursions as of yet because I just don't know how my stamina will be,but they do give you indication when booking them what kind of health you need to be in..
I love the hot tubs but wont be able to use them much because of the heart surgeries..but it wont stop me from taking a dip or 2..

Lisa - when you first retired you did some freelance work writing manuals. Did you do that through a company or advertise yourself?

Machka when I was young I was power hungry. I wanted to be CEO of AT&T, the telephone company, the most powerful position I could imagine. I am quite satisfied that I never made it in that direction.

I was in the Air Force, then computers, then
    patents.

    Morning ladies
Heather- your trips look lovely, the one im going on.I have been on the ship before
Its one of there older ships but they refurbished some of it in 2018.
They rake you over the coals for everything extra..Im not a big drinker so I will bring my Yeti, and drink whatever is free. I might break down and get a fru fru drink or 2,but they are charging 102.00 a day for the deluxe drink package so alcoholic drinks, soda, specialty coffees and teas fall into that category. Really who wants to spend over 700.00 to drink
    Sheesh
We can bring on a 12 pack of soda which we will do
And we don't do the fancy dining room,we just do the buffet

I did a Carnival cruise with my granddaughter. She was 18 at the time so no alcohol for her. I don't drink very much at all (maybe a glass of wine once in awhile) do didn't do the drink package. Just took my Yeti and kept it filled with non alcohol beverages. The cruise was very nice. Went at beginning of July and was a bit worried that it would be filled with kids/university students but that wasn't the case. Was a nice mix of younger and older people. Lots of entertainment on the ship itself. Never at a loss for things to do or nice to just sit back and people watch if I felt like it. Plenty of food options at any time of day or night. Did excursions at every port we stopped at and they were reasonably priced. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.

Bit of stress that I have no control over. Just read that Westjet pilots are going to take a strike vote. Ireland trip is a code share (Aer Lingus with Westjet). Don't think it will affect my trip as they probably won't strike until later May. Some are guessing May long weekend....but it is on my mind.
