Tina - I didn't see your post till after I posted mine, I had planter Fasciitis too about 15 + years ago, and tried everything rest/braces/insoles... I was hesitant at the idea of steroids a friend recommended acupuncture and for me that was the answer 2 sessions and it has never come back.

Lisa-Good news that you have an advocate! I hope you get some answers. I think I’d have given up trying to figure it out by now.
Tina - Not trying to sound facetious, but I'm pretty sure I don't have a "give up," button where certain things are concerned. I don't mean I'm Miss Mary Sunshine. I sometimes think the challenge of having to fight for every inch with the VA keeps me from giving up. I have always loved a challenge. Hope the steroids are helping.
Kim - So good to see you... Your life will be your own soon--but I know it doesn't make the worry stop. Thinking about you.
Katla-So good to hear your DH was up and walking, hope his progress continues.
Tracey-Thinking of you, baby girl.
Later, y'all,

Kim-It's good your DN is able to help with getting mom home. Someone else in the family seems to understand. I still think it is outstanding, given your bio family situation, that you have cared for your mom so well-speaks volumes about your character as a person.
Tina-steroids can be very helpful. I have taken them for some things. I got a call late this afternoon from the company that is compounding the cream (ointment?) for my foot. Not sure what all will be in it other than gabapentin). They told me my insurance is paying for it 100%. I don't like the way some of those nerve medicines make me feel (I have tried them before) so I like the idea of just putting it on the body part that is having the nerve issue. My doctor has told me all along that I have to keep moving. So I am still working on best shoes and will try this medicine. I was able to get 3 miles in today. I am trying to at least get 30 minutes in a day.
Lisa-I concur with your lack of "give up" button!
Going off to watch some tv before bed.
Take care all,

Tracey – (((HUG)))
Barbara – a lady at the soup kitchen today told me that she has narrowing of the spinal column and that is spinal stenosis. Why the MD didn’t just say that (if that’s what it is) is beyond me.
Kylia – the movie “Where the Crawdads Sing” is somewhat different from the book. The book takes place in Hickory, for one thing and the movie takes place in Asheville. I thought the book was very interesting but the movie was just “ehhh” after reading the book. Maybe it’s because I could identify so much with many of the places
After the soup kitchen stopped at WalMart to get a prescription for Loki
Took my walk then walked down to Food Lion to get some fruit. Actually, I went for stuffing (they're the only store that sells the kind I want) then we went to Lowe’s to get more salt for the pool. Got 5 bags (each is 40lbs). Took them down to the pool area and dumped two bags into the pool. You know, pulling those 5 bags in the cart reminded me of when we were putting down all that river rock. It just seemed harder to do. Well, putting down that rock was 10 years ago.
After dinner went for another walk. Unfortunately, Vince didn't go with me. The good thing is that he did his pt exercises while I was gone. So I guess that's something.
Karen VA – if you learn MahJonng and want to play online, I’m up for it. Let me know
katla – fantastic news!
After dinner took another walk. Just as I got home, it started to rain!
Warning: whine below. Skip if you’d likeYou know, I’m getting somewhat frustrated with Jerry. Today one of the managers told me that M (store manager) wasn’t picking him up because he doesn’t do his job. He does like to have everyone else do his job and he gets paid for it. Many times he does cut corners. Anyway, what we’ve been doing for months since he doesn’t work on Saturdays is on Friday we take a pail of pickles and divide them in a tin container and drain the liquid from the rest and leave it in the pail. I then put a note on it “do not use” and if I don’t need it all on Saturday, I just take this note off. The objective is that I can pick them up on Saturday. Well, two weeks ago I reminded him twice that we needed to do it and I got “I know, I know”. Well, I finally had to go to M to ask her to have him do his job. I shouldn’t have to do that. Last week he never brought up the fact that he doesn’t work on Saturdays when A told me that she’d pick him up the next day. I think she 1) forgot that it was Saturday and he doesn’t work on Saturdays and 2) just wanted to get me out of there so her “labor” was down. Another manager, A1, had to do it for me.
Then today I reminded him twice that we needed to do it and I got “I know, I know, you don’t have to remind me”. So I didn’t. Then when I was ready to leave I had to ask the other manager, A1, if she would comment to Jerry that it had to be done. Well, she said that she’d do it. I shouldn’t even have had to go to her.
I understand from a third manager, A2, that M isn’t picking Jerry up sometimes since he doesn’t do his job.
I left work today at 10:30 and the garbage still hadn’t been taken out.
Yet, he was so proud of the fact that Wednesday he peeled and sliced the onions for me. B came in around 9 and left around 4 and told me that he didn’t see anyone else doing the prep. Why do my job when you need to do your own job? I’m sure early in the day there are lots of things that he needs to do.
I’m just whining here. I am going to mention it to Jerry on Monday that he doesn’t need to do my job. He should concentrate on his job. It could very well come to where he doesn’t get picked up which would mean he’d make less money. He still has to pay his electricity and rent (which he told me went up but who knows?) and if his income decreases, that’s not a good combination.
I’m trying to treat him as an adult. For the life of me, I can’t figure out what he has against “pickles”. It’s really not a big deal.

Good evening ladies!
(((Kim)))
I had PT today. I'm having a hard time learning to contract my inner core muscles. There's flab on top that doesn't tighten.
Today I ate 1123 calories Yay! And I did twenty minutes on the bike, and an hour of yoga minus the backbends, and thirty minutes of aerobic walking, Yay! , For a deficit of 481, Yay! If every day were like today, I would be skinny!
I was busy today. Teddy went to the vet for close to $400. That includes six months of flea, tick and heartworm medicine. Plus he had a lump aspirated; it was just a fatty cyst. He had a shot of antibiotics, too. It's expensive to have an older dog.
Mom started a pot roast without any veggies, so I went back and added onions, potatoes and carrots. I meant to save that for tomorrow but she went ahead. She scares me when she cooks.
I haven't worked on my laptop today.
Pouring rain here. I've been thinking about hot chocolate. Maybe tomorrow.
Have a lovely evening, my friends!

Kim: Echoing others who are glad you have DN and a supportive counselor. Take care and remember we are all in your pocket.
Katla: Wonderful news about your DH. Hugs to you both.
Karen: Your community sounds like a great place to live. Your delight in exploring new interests pops off the screen. Brava.
Heather: I love the painting of flowers. Edie is absolutely brilliant. 25 days till I'm in Brighton!
KJ: Hope the little superheros left you smiling and your weekend includes deep sleep and sweet dreams.
Michele: I'm sorry that Jerry causes you so much grief. You model such great dedication and integrity with regard to the job.
Tracey: (hugs) Nobody should have to stay in a toxic work environment.
For everyone who is battling health issues, you are in my thoughts as I spend time every morning beaming healing energy to you all.
I don't work tonight and am enjoying sports on TV and radio concurrently. My basketball team plays tomorrow, but tonight the local hockey team is in action.
Last February I signed up to do rowing workouts at the Row House in support of a friend who enrolled. I regularly use the rowing machine in our condo gym, but I enjoy the Row House sessions for variety and more intensity, so figured I'd go for a couple of months. I hit my first milestone, 50k, last week. My trainer Ryan makes our 30 min sessions fun. Think I'll keep on going to see how long it takes to hit the 100k mark. Sadly, the scale is not budging, but I think that has more to do with resetting my daily routine to accommodate working late and shifting my eating window well into the night. Thankfully, this is just for another few weeks.
Stay well, friends. It's been a challenging month. Here's believing that May will be much, much better!

I caught a bit of an interview the other day, and it was of someone who had written a book about fitting exercise in where you could. Unfortunately I can not remember exactly when I was listening, the author’s name, or the book title… BUT the good news is it was about the little things, so not kicking your shoes into the closet but bending down, picking them up and putting them away, learning to balance enough to put your pants on while standing, standing up without pushing off, walking with great posture, pushing the cart (at the grocery store) or a stroller without leaning on it but just pushing with your hands … you get the idea and for me where it is hard with a full time job, full time care giving, and just keeping a house and yard going I have a hard time fitting exercise in these were ideas that did not take any extra time they were just going about life with exercise as the default. I thought it was brilliant. At least for me.
Kim in N. California
Purposeful exercise is great, but many years ago, an ergonomic specialist told me that it is also very important to keep active throughout the day by doing all those little things.
- parking a little further from the store to lengthen the walk
- taking the stairs
- carrying a grocery basket rather than pushing a cart if you're getting a small quantity of groceries
- standing up straight and sucking the tummy in when walking around the office
- taking extra steps around the house rather than trying to make it all in one trip
- doing calf raises while waiting for the kettle to boil
- get off the bus a stop earlier
- park in one location and walk to all the shops around
- clean the house
- tend to the garden
- have walking meetings
- stand in meetings (and lots of people, I've noticed, move their desks into a standing position to stand during ZOOM meetings). I'm still waiting for my sit-stand desk to arrive.
- stretch periodically
- I take Rhody (the cat) out for a walk when I get home from work. While that isn't a lot of exercise, I am standing (and often stretching or doing calf raises), and then jogging to the next spot where I stand for a bit.
- I keep weights next to my comfy chair at home so I can do a set of bicep curls whenever I want

Because parking in the city is a real pain, I take the bus which means that walking is part of my commute, and at lunch, if I'm running errands or attending appointments, I walk.
First thing I do when I arrive at my office building each morning is to walk up 4 flights of stairs with my backpack on to get to my office floor. Plus I get up and walk up and down more flights of stairs throughout the day ... got 193 flights of stairs in April!
I mentioned Rhody and the weights by my chair above.
I also take 2 or 3 trips to get something done at times. So I'll carry my food to the work kitchen and get it into the microwave, then I'll walk back to my desk to get my water glass and coffee cup and I'll fill them, then walk back to my desk to drop them off. Then back to the kitchen to get my food.
I hang dry all my washing because I don't have a dryer.

got to work in my garden a bit- got the one raised bed for my tomatoes all worked up/added composted manure/worked it in and then planted some of the tomato plants. I will need to find more places to plant them. I have ten different varieties and multiple of each kind. I will be sharing with mom and a few friends. Felt great to be up there working in it. I will have my son work up the other one. For some reason, that one is always harder to work up the first time around. I think I need to add even more compost to it.
Planted more catnip seeds- none of the ones I planted before came up at all. I NEED lots of catnip
Got new cell phones. Mine was working fine for me- I need just the basic(text/Facebook and CandyCrush). I use my desktop for most things, including MFP. Took a long time to get them set up
They offered dh a great deal so now we will be paying $10 less, we both got new phones and they are sending him a $400 gift card.
Toy show tomorrow. Doesn't look like he has as much to take this time as we did our first one. He doesn't expect it to be very busy. The guy isn't charging us for the booth so we aren't out anything except our time. Temp is not supposed to be as hot as they were predicting. Only 85. Not sure yet if we are inside or outside. Hoping inside. Have to be up early, leaving here at 7:30, show starts at 10.

Rhody becomes aggressive around catnip. We've tried it with him a couple times and it's not a good reaction.
And I'm planning to change and get outside into my garden shortly.

Today is a 2-part Anniversary.
1) On April 29, 1990, I started cycling "seriously" and specifically, I started logging all my cycling distances. Yes, I have kept track of every single kilometre I have cycled since April 29, 1990. On that day, I rode 2 miles and had to take a break at the end of the first mile because it was that difficult. I've built up strength since then! 🙂
The longer story ...33 years ago today, a much younger Machka decided it was time to start cycling seriously. I had been cycling since I was 6 years old but the amount had sort of dwindled down to just a few rides a year and in the previous year or two I don’t think I’d ridden at all.
However, I figured I was in pretty good shape, I had been walking a fair amount, so I on that day, a Sunday, I decided I would ride out to a certain spot and back, a distance of about 5 miles. If I felt really good at the 2.5 mile turn around, I’d go a bit further. I set off down the road leading out of town. That road was 0.5 miles long. By the time I reached the end of the road, I knew there was no way I was going to be able to ride 5 miles. I turned the other direction and decided to make a loop around the town for a total of 2 miles. At the 1 mile point, I had to stop and rest a little bit. I was exhausted! I struggled through that last mile home and when I arrived, I was almost in tears! I had no idea that my fitness level had deteriorated that much. A few years earlier, when I was 17, I had hopped on my bicycle and rode 50 miles with my father in the mountains! And that was my first ride of the season. On April 29, 1990 though, I could barely struggle through 2 miles.
But I kept at it, gradually increasing my distances until I did a 50 mile ride by the end of that year. And now, it’s almost hard to believe I once struggled with 2 miles!!
I’ve kept a log of all my miles through all those years – it’s interesting to look back on it and see how I’ve done, and remember those years, and remember the rides. I’ve had some very tough experiences and some very challenging rides in that time, I've had a lot of ups and downs, but I’d have to say that I have absolutely no regrets about choosing cycling as my sport! Because of cycling I have had the chance to try new things, to learn new things, to travel all over the world, to be involved in some incredible events, to meet a whole bunch of wonderful people including my husband, and to discover a lot about myself.
Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed cycling!
2) On April 29, 2016, I became an Australian citizen. 😃 I've been a dual citizen (Canadian-Australian) for 7 years.

Rori – so great to see you. You’re missed when you’re not here. Yea for the Row House. Great pic
Debbie – good luck at the show! I use my desktop for MFP mostly, too. Sometimes I do have to use my tablet, tho. Like if I’m away or something. But most of the time I use the desktop.
M – what an inspiration. Way to go. Showing how small steps lead to big leaps.
Not sure why, but I can’t seem to get to sleep. Hope this doesn’t last long.

Karen - thank you. The HR is my supervisor, but she isn’t allowed to make any decisions without it going through the trouble boss. Everyone that has left took stress leave and never came back. I understand it, by the time you’re that beaten down you’re just glad to be away.
This is the problem when one person is allowed to hold all of the power.
We do have a EFAP, I’m going to call them so there is a record but they have no say in anything. I’m also going to call the labor board. I did think about a lawyer, I’m just not sure of the costs.
Ginny - it’s very hard to explain how my boss is so demeaning. She doesn’t reprimand in front of anyone else, she almost tries to gaslight people.
She asked me to do something in an email, when I did it and got an answer for her she emailed asking why I would go around her to get an answer when she had taken care of it. When I forwarded her the email she had originally sent she never acknowledged it. She did come talk to me about why I shouldn’t go around her and how I was being insubordinate.
Since I had to go to NB for my FIL’s funeral, she has made comments about me going on vacation with no notice. I only used 2 vacation days, 2 personal days, the rest were bereavement.
She talks about others behind their back, so you know she’s doing it to you too.
She’s actually on sick leave since December, but has still called everyday and comes in a couple times a week to direct the person that is taking her place.
I think I’m being targeted now because our sick time started fresh again on April 1st and I wasn’t sure of the rules so I brought it up to HR so we could get an answer from our benefit company. She doesn’t get more sick time until she returns to work. She told the HR and the girl filling in for her that she felt I was picking on her.
I have been told to do things that aren’t best accounting practices and since she won’t put anything in writing I won’t do it. I know if there was an audit I would be blamed not her.
Since I won’t blindly follow, I am a thorn in her side. I’ve never been written up or disciplined for anything though.
That’s what makes it all so difficult, it’s all sneaky, manipulative things. I have a list of 37 different things. I reviewed some emails today to refresh my memory to make more detailed documentation. I don’t know what I’ll do with it, but I’ll have it at least.
I hope your numbers remain low for a long time to come.
Heather - I think your doctor hat is onto something with DH. I think experience has taught us a lot of medical things. As women we discuss these things, but men think we don’t know what we’re talking about.
Katla - so happy to read your DH is walking! What great news.
Tina - I hope you have found relief for your feet. Being in pain is terrible.
Kim - I feel for you. I have read something about that style of exercise too. It was a few years ago. I used to do that, thank you for the reminder about it. I need to start again.
All of the new smaller clothes I bought a couple years ago are a bit snug. I need to correct that because I refuse and can’t afford to buy bigger again. I donated all of my bigger clothes so I had nothing to wear if I slipped up.
Rori - my son in law is an Avalanche fan. So my DH watches them too, when his team isn’t playing. I saw a young Dad at the bank today with his jersey on getting a little one out of the car with a jersey on. It made me smile. I love the Avalanche colours.
Our daughter is having the egg retrieval done on Monday for the IVF process. I’m very nervous, worried, and excited for them.
Our grandson is spending the night. He didn’t need tucked in, and didn’t bring a stuffie. I told him he’s not allowed to grow up on me, and I think he’s doing it anyway. 😂

Rori - Counting down the days!
Tracey - That kind of narcissistic, gaslighting personality is very hard to deal with. There are a lot of pointers online. One thing you can't do is treat them like a normal person, because they aren't normal, they are wired differently. They will never change. Lots of books out there too. It may help, temporarily at least, to see it as a personality disorder, rather than something you are 'doing wrong'. They are very clever, manipulative, and nice to those they haven't targeted. (See Kim's mum) I would think some reading up on 'how to deal with a narcissist' would ease your mind a bit, although you are definitely going through all the right procedures. Document everything.
I decided yesterday to get a Waitrose delivery this evening for the bank holiday. It's a cheaper delivery fee after 7 pm! There are my standard chicken/meat cuts that I use all the time that I'd run out of. (Chicken thighs and neck fillet of lamb) Plus salmon fillets.Tonight's dinner, before they arrive, will be sea bass.
The sun is shining and the apple blossom is covering next door's apple tree. The lilac is about to blossom. I might have to do another 'view from my bedroom window '.

Saturday --
Just spent 2.5 hours in the garden!
Digging and hacking with mattock, hoe and shovel.
Weeding.
Watering with water can - carrying it back and forth up into the higher parts of the yard.
And planting 2 new hydrangeas.
I have a feeling I'll be stiff tomorrow.
But it was a beautiful autumn day and I'm so glad I could spend time outside.
Machka in Oz3 -
ACTIVE APRIL1. Commit to being more active this month starting today. Yes!
2. Spend as much time as possible outdoors today. Yes!
3. Listen to your body and be grateful for what it can do. Yes! I can garden, which requires all sorts of body motion, and cycle.
4. Eat healthy and natural food today and drinks lots of water. Yes! Ate my usual food and drank lots of water up till about 8 pm. We won't talk about what happened after that.
5. Turn a regular activity into a playful game today. Hmmm ... Walking around the shops? Climbing stairs?
6. Do a body-scan meditation and really notice how your body feels. Achy.
7. Get natural light early in the day. Dim the lights in the evening.
There isn't much light early in the day here. Plus I was sleeping then. Plus it was cloudy, drizzly and rainy all day.
But I do dim the lights in the evening. It's one of many steps I take to wind down in the evenings to prepare myself for the night.
8. give your body a boost by laughing or making someone laugh
I rarely laugh. Most things don't strike me funny.
Lots of things amuse me, but not enough for laughter.
9. Turn your housework or chores into a fun form of exercise
I often do, but as today's work involved sitting at 2 computers, I walked on the treadmill during a break instead.
10. Have a day with less screen time and more movement
Unfortunately, today was another day sitting at 2 computers.
But I did go downstairs to row and lift weights.
Hoping the rain will let up soon!!! It's been 4 days already!
11. Set yourself an exercise goal or sign up to an activity challenge
One of my more favourite areas!!
We aim to cycle at least one 50 km ride each month and have been doing that for a while. At our AGM at the end of March, we got a bag full of these each.
We will have to see when we can fit our April ride in ... the 5 days off over Easter would have been good but it rained and rained and was cold and windy. Snow at higher elevations.
Maybe next weekend ... we'll see.
AND ... one of the bigger running events moved their event to September which is fantastic for me. Originally, it was this month, but I was nowhere near ready to even sign up for the 5K. Now I've got the winter to get in shape.
Also, now that I'm working back in the same building I was in about 16 months ago, with many of the same people, we've started our stair climbing challenge again. We are easing into it this month because of Easter and ANZAC Day but we'll be ready to be much more consistent in May.
The stair climbing challenge is exciting because when I'm busy climbing 20+ flights of 20 stairs each day I am at work, I lose weight.
12. Move as much as possible, even if you’re stuck inside
Absolutely! I climbed stairs.
13. Make sleep a priority and go to bed in good time
I do when I have to work the next day ... make sure I get at least 7 hours of sleep.
But I am not keen on that. I'm a night owl and like to get things done late at night. Having to be in bed by 11:45 pm is a bit uncomfortably early.
14. Relax your body & mind with yoga, tai chi or meditation.
Gardening ... will gardening do?
15. Get active by singing today (even if you think you can’t sing)
I sing every day. My husband is very polite about it.
16. Go exploring around your local area and notice new things
I've spent 5 years on our island.
I've done a lot of local exploring!
I think exploring locally is a great idea and some people don't do enough of it. However, I'm getting more and more restless to go somewhere else as the weeks go by.
17. Be active outside. Dig up weeds or plant some seeds
I usually do this on the weekend when there's daylight.
However, I occasionally do some weeding in the pitch dark when I walk Rhody right after work.
18. Try a new online exercise, activity or dance class.
Hmmmmmmm ... not that keen on online exercise, aside from Zwift.
However, I have started a stair climbing challenge at work, and we keep track of it on an Excel spreadsheet.
19. Spend less time sitting today. Get up and move more often.
Walking in the morning and evening as part of my commute.
Walking at lunch.
Climbing stairs.
Walking back and forth to the kitchen and toilet.
Walking with Rhody after work.
20. Focus on eating ‘a rainbow of multi-colored vegetables today.
As always.
21. Regularly pause to stretch and breathe during the day.
Does huffing and puffing up and down 20 flights of stairs count?
22. Enjoy moving to your favorite music. Really go for it.
I always enjoy my music, but I don't necessarily move to it.
23. Go out and do an errand for a loved one or neighbor.
Not on the 23rd (Sunday) but today.
24. Get active in nature. Feed the birds or go wild-life spotting.
Walking ... and watching the pigeons.
25. Have a ‘no screens’ night and take time to recharge yourself.
Tuesday was ANZAC Day ... so I didn't spend as much time in front of my computer. I was out in the garden for quite a while, then we went cycling.
26. Take an extra break in your day and walk outside for 15 minutes
Wednesday, I was back at work. But I did a longish (over an hour) walk to the Botanical Gardens and back to work.
27. Find a fun exercise to do while waiting for the kettle to boil (or pan of water.)
Thursday ... today. More climbing stairs.
28. Meet a friend outside for a walk and a chat.
Does cycling with my husband count?
29. Become an activist for a cause you really believe in
A very quiet activist.30. Make time to run, swim, dance, cycle or stretch today

Tracey-wow, she is a gem.I prefer not putting everything in writing because it becomes public record. When problems become repeated I do. If it is in writing I can go back and check and not make a false accusation (I can't always remember everything!) or I will resend the email to the person so they can remember. In the US your log could be helpful if you have to file unemployment (don't know laws in Canada). If nothing else, writing the stuff can be a way to get some of it out of your head and help with coping. My bet advice is keep looking. Here we have what are called job centers and you can go there and get advice on interviewing, etc.
Rori-excellent job on rowing. I think that sounds like such a cool exercise. However, since I have two repaired herniated discs in my neck I am a bit hesitant to try that.
Received call from Endocrinologist office late yesterday-they confirmed my read of blood work but nice to get official confirmation. It looks like Covid most like the culprit in the sudden change in suppression level.
Temperatures supposed to be decent today. A chance of rain but should be able to get a dry walk in. going to get 30 minutes I as soon as it is light. I am trying out the whole thing about getting early morning sunlight being helpful in sleep cycles. After that-the usual. Got shopping done yesterday so no need to go to stores.
Have a good day all,

Kim,
Thank you for asking about my spouse’s progress.
Yesterday afternoon, she was walking from the lounge to the restaurant here when she realized she had left her motorized scooter parked in the lounge. She was halfway down the hallway, chatting and laughing, before she remembered.
There was a time when, with knit brow, she would have asked for my arm or shoulder to steady herself while she made her way from a table in the lounge to her scooter.
It’s come about gradually, but she is still making major progress.
Next week she will be evaluated to find out if she is a candidate for focused MRI-guided transcranial ultrasound tremor ablation!

I love rowing! Partly because it's sitting down but also because I can watch something on my tablet, or listen to a podcast. Two of my favourite Netflix series are coming out again in May, and that makes the rowing go really quickly. Sometimes I end up doing some cycling as well! At the moment I'm watching surgical operations. My favourite thing, but I often watch Ambulance, or 24 hours in A&E.
I went running this morning. That's four times in 9 days! I managed to get to the turn around about 5 minutes before the Parkrun. On the way home I bought Scotch Eggs for Monday lunch, and pigs cheeks for dinner on Monday, a Bank Holiday.
Tomorrow's dinner will be salmon with leek and fennel in crême fraiche.
Today's lunch is 'ancient grain' rolls, with smoked mackerel and horseradish, cucumber and lettuce.

Good morning ladies!
My pinched nerve issue must be improving, I slept through the night. Yay!
And it (mostly) stopped raining! Yay! But it must be soggy out there.
I'm going to dye my hair today. I haven't done it in awhile. My roots are almost two inches long, but they blend in. My natural color is a dull washed out sort of charcoal, and I put red henna on it to give it some life. It's such a mess to do, but it gives great results.
Have a great day!

Tracey,
Oh my gosh, that sneaky gaslighting then stab-you-in-the-back stuff is exactly what my subordinate did and got away with! She was in a supervisory position; as Director, I supposedly had the power to fire her. However, she was protected by one of the management VPs, so when I outlined the problems and discussed firing her with the management team, I was quashed. I told the management team if they were going to protect this supervisor, then I would need to leave my position, and they immediately gave me several good options within the company, which I took advantage of. I did tell them it was extremely unfair of them to force me to choose between staying in an untenable situation vs leaving the situation (which meant abandoning my people and delivering them to her nasty clutches). The bi@tc# bullied the new Director who took my place, too. A lot of people from that center had resigned when the bully was finally promoted to the level of her incompetence. She was largely impotent in that position. She should have been fired, but at least she was promoted to a position where it was difficult to harm others.
I wish you the best. I know how difficult it is to deal with someone like this.
