Too tired to be coherent. Girls needed nails painted, blusher put on, hair done, dressed and jewellery!!! Plus feeding. Bea spilt all her drink all over the table. Me being one handed meant DH had to do right hands of nail polish! He is a gem. We got on the bus and arrived in good Time.
We were thanked by DDIL and found a few people to talk to, including some of the professionals involved in bringing the book out.
DDIL thanked us in her speech. Her parents were also there and her military in law. I spoke to him for a while and told him about my link with the military through you all. He had a traumatic story to tell.
All good. Drank a lot of Prosecco, but was OK to come home on the bus.
Phew!
Ready for bed.

I had a nice day with friends. I returned two books to the library and checked out two new ones by another writer. We went out for lunch & came home happy. 😊 👍🏻

Good evening ladies!
Today I ate 1163 calories. Not bad. And I did twenty minutes on the bike and then my dumbbells. Yay! For a deficit of 322 Yay! I am back on track!

Heather - I started following Ralph, thank you for the suggestion.
I love that lampshade.
Barbara - How wonderful that Joe bought you a Mother’s Day gift.
Apparently my oven is fine, I don’t know what was going on last night. Maybe it was my impatience, it seemed to take an extra long time for the bacon to cook.
Machka - very interesting article, thanks for sharing.
Kylia - I truly hope your DH and SIl agree with an hours change. It sure would make it easier on everyone.
Katla - I’m happy for you that you have made friends in your new city.
I am so nervous about having my doctor send this letter in that I feel like I’m having an anxiety attack.
I am also feeling it for having to work with her one more day, so I have to do it. I hate being put in this position.

10. Be grateful for the little things, even in difficult times. Will keep this in mind tomorrow.
Mchka self-image and action article, much food for thought there.
Ginny thanks! Will ask Joe to pass this info on to his new MD if his foot pain persists. Might be a challenge to find a compounding pharmacy nearby, but there’s one in Medford. For now, his pain is lessened with every day he’s been AF. :}
Kylia good idea to change open hours/days. Lots of businesses are having to do it because of not being able to find staff or afford them if found.
Debbie in your situation I’d have taken the pillow and blanket to my car. Less comfortable but quieter. You are so right the decision must come from your mom. ((hugs)).
Heather delighted to hear Johnny is stepping up to be your right hand. that he even painted Bea and Edie’s nails. Like Lisa I wish he could be my grandpa too!
Vicki here’s the boiled egg peeling hack https://youtu.be/Emf76tJiAew?t=4 Are there any other departments or sister companies from which you could draw temporary help?
Lanette, just put volume 1 on hold at the library. Was looking for some light fiction. Thanks!
Tracey prayers and ((hugs))

Allie,
Miles is so adorable!

My outing yesterday was a great success. It’s good to get back into the swing of things again. However, my knee is giving me a little bother this morning. I think it was operating the clutch which aggravated it.
Today I’m hoping to go get flowers for tomorrow. DH has gone off to do the weekly shop on his own. He’s such a help.
👌🏻 Terri7 -
Barbara-my compound came from an out of state pharmacy-Dr. told me they seem to be be best at working with insurances. AF can make a difference. Does he have gout by any chance?
Kylia-changing up hours does sound like a good plan. You sound a bit happier. Do you know if Ross has opened at Town and Country yet? Thinking of making a shoe run Sunday to Roderers.
Katla-sounds like you had a most pleasant day.
Heather-Johnnie is indeed a keeper.
Tracey-sending positives your way.
Terri-I can believe the clutch would be bothersome. We drove cars with clutches for years. I was glad we switched to automatics when I started having hip issues. That small motion can be so annoying (and painful at times!)
Didn't get early walk in yesterday and didn't sleep well last night-could be coincidence. I will make it this morning-leaving as soon as sunrise. It is worth the effort if it does make a difference (and it it doesn't for sleep, it is good for clear head at Start of the day. I typically listen to a podcast while walking. With the morning walks I am just listening to what is around me so the birds and the neighborhood waking up. Great way to start the day. Need my head clear to deal with some work issues this week.
Take care all,

It’s been a busy couple of days. Yesterday I was written up for insubordination, I refused to give my password out for one of our financial programs. I wasn’t willing to let someone else use my information and then me be blamed if something went wrong.
When I got home and told DH he told me to call my doctor for sick leave on Monday. I want to make the call to Employment standards first.
But I do believe this week I will be going on sick leave.
Tracey in Edmonton
Ah good. You've got something concrete to show the labour board / employment standards.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with taking sick leave for mental health. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health.

I hate for you being put in this position, too.
Just remember, she is the one with the problem.

Tracey— You’re right that I have had the good luck to meet new friends here. I enjoy them. DH has also made new friends. 😊

Allie ~ It sounds like you have taken on too much and it's affecting your health. Perhaps your worry over your daughter's family it taking it's toll. Also, I am sure that caring for Miles as much as you do is wearing you out. He is getting to the age where he probably would benefit by going to day care where he can be with other little ones his age. I know that would add to the financial problems of the couple, but, maybe you cound contribute money toward it instead of buying so many toys, clothes, etc.
Tracey ~ Hugs and hope you will soon be able to be out of your work situation.
Meeting my two old friends for lunch by the river today. Even though we don't get to see each other much it sure is good when we do.

No work today so I got to do a Bosu Total Body Workout DVD and then I did a Turbo Jam Lower Body DVD then took a walk around the block.
Yesterday was the first day I was in the pool. Sunscreen….here I come! This despite having to get a new salt water generator and then having to send the first one back.
Vince is at PT right now. I looked today, and, sure enough, he hasn’t been doing his PT exercises. Well, there’s just so much I can do. I like walking so I don’t have a problem getting him to go with me.
Anne – I’m impressed that even tho you may fall down, you admit it and get right back up (exercise)
Have a dentist appt in about an hour, then I’ll probably go in the pool. It’s still a bit too cool to exercise in the water, but I can use the float.
Didn’t work much yesterday, but that’s because she didn’t order enough lettuce. They won’t have any more until the delivery in the afternoon, then she’ll probably have someone else do it. I can’t help wondering if this isn’t her way of getting her “labor” down, someone else has to do it.
Did a body pump DVD then went to the Salvation Army. Lately, they’ve been having nothing but junk. Went to ceramics Mon and Tues. Had Stewart Jr. fired. See, Jess took one snail that I wasn’t happy with but she liked. Then she said that that snail needed a “friend” so I made Mrs. Stewart (the snail’s name is Stewart) so now I made Stewart Jr.
Rita – think cool thoughts
I’d read that to get a hard boiled egg to peel easily, start by boiling the egg in COLD water. I tried this and it works. That must be why the hard boiled eggs made in the IP peel so easily.
Sweet potatoes are on sale in Food Lion so one day I have to take a walk down there. It’s only a mile from my house (my pedometer also calculates distances)
Vicki – I’m proud, too
The other photo is of a plant that I’ve had for a few years. As you can see, it’s flowering only in one area. I would think the whole thing should be flowering, but I don’t know what to do, if there’s something I should be doing. I don’t even know what kind of plant it is!

michele - the plant looks like an azala - but I could be wrong, that could be the sunny side, and the rest of the plant will slowly bloom out.
Kim3 -
Michele that plant has a very nice rounded form. I wonder if it got trimmed this spring and the flower buds cut off?

Ginny I hope your work issues get solved!
Allie you do have a lot on your plate. Taking care of a little one is a lot of work. Sometimes you have to think about your own health. I did like the idea of some financial support for his care if you are able to help out that way.
Vicki you should be very proud of your grandson! Great picture of your son and him.
Michele I love your pool! I love the flowers on your plant. You’ll have to send a picture if it does bloom all around.
It’s a little windy and cold here today. I’m going to do some laundry before we go on our 20 mile bike ride. We’re getting things done around here so we can close up for the summer and head back to Minnesota Monday. There is a lot to do to prep for Excessive heat. We keep our thermostat set at 87° when we’re gone. That sounds hot but it’s not that hot here in Arizona with extremely low humidity.
