I had a great ride. Biscuit (the horse) really likes the cooler weather. We picked up rings from barrels and put them on poles. And we trotted over poles on the ground. Standard horsey stuff.

Thx, my highest got to be 3.93 but I ended up with 3.92, oh well, I’ll listen to faster songs. I have various playlists. I walk and run to the beat of the song that I’m listening to. I’ll try again

Debbie - I used to drink a lot of that cinnamon tea, not sure why I stopped. Will look for it again.

Annie - good to hear you were horseback riding again.

Carol - glad to hear you were able to delete the history. Seems there's always a new glitch popping up with these programs.

Heather - nice pictures! I think that bridge would make me real nervous, I'd probably slow down to a crawl.

Vicki - glad the person you interviewed was up front about her plans. But if I had been her, I think I would have kept my mouth shut and taken the job if offered if I really needed it. ( Maybe she didn't?) Sometimes these "opening our own business" plans don't work out, or go for a while without making a profit and someone needs to have steady income and insurance. Things can change in a year. I wonder who she thinks would hire her if she was only going to work a year.

But I think her telling you gave you a glimpse of how dedicated (not) she would have been if she had that mindset. So it was good. Someone who is sharp and likes the job might be the perfect person to replace you when you retire in 3 years. Hope you the next person you interview fits the bill. You deserve some good dedicated employees.

Margaret - thanks for the suggestion about shoes and knee problems. I seem to rotate between 5 different pairs throughout the day. A pair of New Balance for my morning walks, an older pair of New Balance for quick town trips, JBU clogs for wearing around the house - nice to have easy slip ons, rubber Muck shoes for mowing and walking in wet grass, and leather Keens if I need really sturdy ones with toe protection and a stiff sole sole. But favorite shoes are actually none - I prefer walking around the house in my sock feet. I go through a lot of socks!

Waiting to hear what Dr. Lisa says as far as what's to be done for my knee to make it better or keep it from getting worse. I'm very grateful the knee is mechanically sound.

Had the tires on the Subaru rotated this morning, I was there at 8 am so first in the door. They got that done and had time to do the brakes so I said let's go for it, I brought my tablet and watched a movie. When they were done, the service guy said when he took it for a test drive, he heard a noise. He took a look and a rear bearing is going out. So, I'll have it back in there next Thursday to get that taken care of and I'm crossing fingers it will get me to town.

This old Subaru hasn't cost me that much in repairs, and even with the expenses this month, it would only be the equivalent of 2 car payments if I were to buy a new or certified used one. Since I don't drive much or very far, that's perfect for me right now.

I hear mowers going in the neighborhood but the grass really hasn't grown that much. Many lawns are already starting to get brown. I see a few dandelions popping up here and there. I'm going to wait a few more days and save gas. I might not be keeping up with the Jones's but it looks a lot better than it did last year and I'm happy with that.

Today I ate 1214 calories, which is a little high for me. I was hungry so I had an extra yogurt before cooking my parents' dinner. Not bad. For exercise I went riding, then thirty minutes on the bike, then my dumbbells. Yay! So the extra ten minutes on the bike helped put me at a deficit of 419. Yay!

It's day seven of my sister challenge, and weigh-in is tomorrow! I've been good every day but Sunday, and even that wasn't bad. So even if the scale doesn't show it, I'm winning the game. I'm trying to keep my expectations in line.

My jaw is still sore, can’t open my mouth wide. Which can be a blessing in disguise since I don’t want to put much in my mouth. The bad part is that I can put soft things like ice cream, pudding etc. But also applesauce.

Vince talked about cutting the grass tomorrow after work. Hopefully, it’ll be dry enough

Off to get ready for bed. Not sure how I’m going to brush my teeth. I may have to just use mouthwash today.

Lisa - Quirky js good. I haven’t written for a long time, but that’s a good idea. I used to do that all the time.
I hope the meds continue to work.

Allie - FB and Instagram would be good places I imagine. I had a friend that just out the word out and a coworker gave him hers.
I wouldn’t think that your kids could because they may have kidney issues later in life, but I would be mighty upset with mine if they didn’t at least offer.
I hope the stress test eases your mind a bit when it’s done. You’ll at least know how much you can take in a safe place.
I was sorry to see the submarine story today too, also like you I never would have been in it. Showers make me claustrophobic!

Heather - Is that church being restored? It looks like the wood is holding it up.

Michele - No we don’t have to make a deposit to register. She is thinking of starting it because she has people say they are coming and then not show up, in the meantime she has had to turn others away. Like your place, she only has seating for 12.

When Kaitlyn had her surgery 12 years ago she was only the 5th person to have the surgery in North America. At that time it had been being done in the UK successfully for about 10 years. She had engineers and doctors in the operating room, her surgeon was the only Canadian doing it at the time.
My dad always had pain in his back after his slipped discs, Kaitlyn has had no pain almost immediately after surgery, she woke up from surgery happy that she only had surgery type pain, not slipped disc pain. She was 21 and had them about 2.5 years before her surgery. There is nothing she can’t do because of her back now.

Vicki - like others have said, it’s good your interviewee was honest with you.
I think, like Lynette said, I wouldn’t have been as honest. I have always been too fearful to not have a back up plan. It’s another stressor on me right now.

Carol - I didn’t know that worked to see things without a subscription.

I painted some more today. I finished this last night, I just had to seal it and out the door on. You can’t see it in the picture, but there is a roll of toilet paper on the wall. 😂. I put some lights up through the one hole so it is a little light in the bathroom. I have slowly been redecorating my bathroom. I think this about does it.




I am repainting the carousel for my granddaughter, something just wasn’t sitting well with me. I should have it finished again tomorrow. I sat at the table too long today, I am in some pain tonight.

Still no letter from my doctor, I sent an email to the receptionist last night before I went to bed. She assured me that my doctor is aware of my need. I did let work know that reception assured me she is aware of it.

DH and I went to Costco tonight for another set of solar lights he wanted. We had a very “healthy” supper while there. He had two hotdogs, I had a slice of pizza. Grand total was $5.90. On the way home he said we could eat supper there cheaper than at home, I told him I agreed but the cost of the medications we would need to fix that would outweigh the savings.
Also, I don’t like their food.

Husband was kinda grumpy about the high cost, but I just told him next commissary run I won't need anything!🤗💖

Rita-sorry to hear son is in a bad spot right now. Hopefully he can break out of this cycle soon. It is hard to not have it impact you. Hopefully you have some counseling available to you also. Sending prayers and supportive thoughts.
Tracey-hope doctor comes through for you soon. I can say that such letters do need to be well written. Poorly written statements are easy for employers to get around and make the employee look bad.
Michelle-the sore jaw after root canal is no fun, but better than the nerve pain.
Vicki-I am amazed at times what people will admit to in interviews. Then again, some people who interview just fine turn out to not live up to expectations. Hiring is tough business and always a gamble. I am dealing with a difficult one right now-seemed like they could be good-never really showed any growth but person thinks they are just fine and everyone else wrong. Ugh!
Allie-I think since they have you on a transplant list they should be keeping track of things. You need to do everything you can to be in good shape for it. I hope it doesn't take 5 years to get a match.
Carol-I never thought about deleting history to gain more times getting on a site. I run into that limitation with news stories I would like to read occasionally but it's not a paper or magazine I really want to pay for.
Lanette-I can't remember how old your Subaru is but we have had some we got 15 or so years out of with very high mileage. Your approach sounds sensible. I went with new car after husband died because I don't want to mess with maintenance too much. The Honda I first bought was impulse when shopping with son (and car I was driving then was aging. Was dissatisfied with how the Honda seat felt so when they were offering such good trade in prices I went back to Subaru. I love my Forrester.

So Amazon tells me United States Postal Service says package was left in mailbox yesterday-it was not. Since it was a late afternoon time it is possible they put it at wrong house and owners haven't noticed yet. Will see if it turns up today. It's a pair of shorts I wanted for trip. If it doesn't show up by early Saturday I'll contact Amazon.

Going into office this morning and then do some work from home this pm. Gas company is coming to do one of the line inspections they have to do every year or so. Raining this morning so may skip morning walk for first time in a long time. Will get one in this pm around the gas company.

The submersible accident-I didn't realize at first that it was a sight seeing excursion-I thought it was a real sub lost. Tragic to think that happened. My brother was on a sub while in the navy. I don't think I could even tour one due to claustrophobia.
