Michele hope your jaw is better this morning!
I used to scuba dive, and I actually kinda like small cozy spaces, but still I would never have gone deep sea in a little tube like that. Nobody deserves to die like that, although we hope it was quick and merciful.

Life has so many opportunities for controversy, not just in politics and religion. When someone here asks for advice, we all share what has worked for us, but we refrain from getting pushy with unsolicited advice which can be controversial. I love the caring and respect here.
Jake is going to see the cardiologist today. He'll go by himself since this is a routine appointment. The results of his last echo cardiogram weren't as good as he had hoped but he is feeling good and has a surprising amount of energy.
Rebecca, Your new haircut looks fabulous. Yes, it was expensive, but we all have to have some personal luxuries that make us feel fabulous. I haven't had my hair cut except by me since January 2020, but I splurge on other things
Allie, being on the transplant list is a good thing. Did the doctor recommend a specific eating plan for kidney health?
I have never posted in the private group and after reading parts of it once, decided to not read it again. I am troubled by indignation and complaining. Lots of people like to vent and complain and seem to find comfort in it and I'm glad the group is there for them, but it's not for me so I don't read or respond. The easiest way for me to avoid things that bug me is to not engage. I think it was Margaret who said you don't have to go to every fight you're invited to.
It will be warm (70 degrees) and sunny today. Walking early before it is too warm. I'll work in the yard before noon.

Allie--The last couple stress tests I have had they did with the shot. Didn't seem to take as long and I wan't all sweating when done.
Rita--Sending lots of prayers and hugs!!
Rebecca--New do looks lovely on you. Nice and cool too.
Tracey--What a cute little outhouse.
I get off at noon today and so does DH. Guess we are going to go looking for a new washer and dryer. Just looking for to being off and hoping I stay feeling well for the weekend as want to go to a biker church service on Sunday about 70 miles away.
Take care ladies and thank each of you for what you bring to this group and my life.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE7 -
Rita – I’m so sorry you’re going thru all this. Yes, you have all my prayers and good thoughts being sent your way
Rebecca – love the new do. So you. Makes you look younger (and your face looks thinner).
Pip – do you make your own playlists or get them off the internet?
My jaw is still sore, can’t open my mouth wide. Which can be a blessing in disguise since I don’t want to put much in my mouth. The bad part is that I can put soft things like ice cream, pudding etc. But also applesauce.
Vince talked about cutting the grass tomorrow after work. Hopefully, it’ll be dry enough
Off to get ready for bed. Not sure how I’m going to brush my teeth. I may have to just use mouthwash today.

I have been making my own playlists for years. I’ve listened to some pre done playlists but the problem with those, they may be upbeat songs but they’re the wrong beat or I don’t like the song. I make my jogging playlists that keep me at a good pace cuz I run to the beat of the music.5 -
OOPSIE I forgot our wedding anniversary again, it was yesterday. 21 years. Kirby went up to bed yesterday and then after a bit he came back downstairs and gave me a kiss and said happy anniversary, he had forgotten too, lololol. At least he remembered before going to bed, I totally forgot.

Pip what a beautiful couple! Happy anniversary!
Today is weigh-in for me. I lost four pounds! Yay! That's almost too much for a week. I think last week's number was a little high, but if this continues I will have to eat more. What a good surprise!

Hi all.
We were invited to a reception this afternoon, out on the helicopter deck, to see the glacier. Champagne and waffles with cream and strawberries. Yes, I did eat half a waffle.
We found a nice couple to talk to as well!
This morning we had to paint puffins. 🎨
Tomorrow is another sea day.
Rita - I really feel for you. Our children are bonded to us in such a deep way. Sending hugs and good wishes.
Rebecca- Great haircut. 👍
Having a quiet evening tonight. Neither of the shows attract me, so we will be reading.
This afternoon, after the glacier, we went to choir and had a wonderful time finishing off our sea shanty. Lots of parts and harmonies. I found it really hard to hold my alto harmony for the refrain. But I just love it. So good for the spirits.
Love you all, Heather UK xxxxxx

1. Decide to look for what’s good every day this month. Started with friendly people.
2. Say positive things in your conversations with others. I will try, but people annoy me.
3. Re-frame a worry and try to find a helpful way to think about it. This will be about my son. Not sure how to re-frame it but will find a way today. I must realize he is a full grown man and in charge of his own life.
4. Take a photo of something that brings you joy and share it.
5. Think of 3 things you’re grateful for and write them down. 1. My family, 2. A roof over my head, 3. Enough food to eat.
6. Get out into green space and feel the joy that nature brings. every day!
7. Do something healthy that makes you feel good. 2 walks so far. And therapist today.
8. Find joy in music: sing, play, dance, listen or share. To be accomplished.
9. Ask a friend what made them happy recently. Did this on my trip to Lubbock to get my car back finally. Was a great day!
10. Bring joy to others by doing something kind for them. Will report on this later! Gave a family some Little Debbie cookies.
11. Eat good food that makes you happy and really savor it. Will do! Yesterday had a salad made from lettuce, onion, peppers, and tomato from my garden. The dressing was homemade too! Mmmmmm
12. Write a gratitude letter to thank someone. To be done! Sent my GS a thank you note for being my grandchild!
13. Take a light-hearted approach. Choose to see the funny side. Already happening after a very stressful day yesterday.
14. Share a happy memory with someone who means a lot to you. Will do.
15. Look for something to be thankful for where you least expect it. This will be fun to find things. How about turtle eggs on the beach that have to be moved to not be crushed.
16. Speak to others in a warm and friendly manner. I will try.
17. Take time to notice things that you find beautiful. Will do! Watched people enjoying the lake on a beautiful Saturday!
18. Look for something good in a difficult situation. My son is getting help from a social worker who is including me.
19. Get outside and find the joy in being active.Too hot today, 105 degrees at 1;45 pm!
20. Rediscover and enjoy a fun childhood activity. Going to color! Didn’t do this. I must make time to do this.
22. Watch something funny and enjoy how it feels to laugh. There is a funny tv show called “The Neighbors” about humans living next door to aliens that makes me laugh. Will watch that today.
23. Create a playlist of uplifting songs to listen to. I have one already!24. Bring to mind a favorite memory you feel grateful for.
25. Show your appreciation to people who are helping others
26. Make time to do something playful just for the fun of it.
27. Be kind to you. Do something that brings you joy.
28. Notice how positive emotions are contagious among people.
29. Share a friendly smile with people you see today.
30. Make a list of the joys in your life and keep adding to it.

Pip and Kirby - Happy Anniversary! Love the photos - you two are still lovebirds after 21 years.
Vicki - I hope you are well over the illness you had last weekend and can enjoy this weekend. I bet riding is great therapy for you and a welcome break from the turmoil in your job.
Barbara - glad to see you popping in. Hope things are going well down your way.
Heather - you and your DH look wonderful and I'm happy to see you enjoying yourselves. The puffin painting is awesome!
Katla - I meant to tell you - I finally had 2 more hummingbirds show up a couple days ago. Total of three now and the hummingbird wars have started. How is the house sale coming along for your Oregon property? I'm crossing fingers a good buyer has appeared or will appear shortly and get that settled.
Barbie - I'm trying real hard to avoid situations and people that are controversial. For me, complaining was a bad habit and as I look back I'm ashamed of the energy I spent griping and the nice people I alienated with my unaskedfor and often uneducated opinions on many topics. I was wasting time getting ticked off over things I had no control over. I look at refocusing my time and energy as a way of decluttering. It's challenging for me sometimes but there are so many things to be grateful for and uplifting ideas and people to seek out. A work in progress. Reading and listening to inspirational material and looking at photos of puppies and kittens and chickens puts me in a better place.
I lost some sleep last night worrying about driving my Forester back into the shop next Thursday morning for the bearing replacement. I really, really could have used DH to give me his educated advice, but he's not around to ask anymore. But, this morning I remembered I had AAA and perhaps they could send out a tow company with a flatbed and just haul it to the shop without me worrying the wheel might fly off or I could do worse damage. So I made a few phone calls and if everything falls into place it will be taken care of and I can pick the car up in the late afternoon.
This will also give me an opportunity to try out the county's transit system's car shuttle. I'll have to make the appointment the day before, but can have them pick me up and take me in to pick up the car. Cost will be around $5. As far as I know, there's no Uber around here. I can have a neighbor take me to town if this doesn't work out.
Ginny - my car is a 2008, has around 112,000 miles. I guess Subarus are known for going through wheel bearings according to the mechanic. But I love that it has good suspension, has been fairly trouble free and as I mentioned, if I have to plow a few bucks into it every couple years, it beats the cost of a new car, especially for the limited amount of driving I do (less than 2500 miles per year.)
Time to check out the lawn situation. Grass hasn't grown, dandelions have. If nothing else, I'll get the weed eater out.
Make it a wonderful day!

I need to talk about issue with so. But only short version. He met a girl that ended up getting him held against his will by a violent gang in a city.
I am so worried. Talked to him this morning and he is scarred witless. So am I.
RvRita15 -
Lanette-well, with 112,000 some wear and tear will show up. I don't think the bearing would be a real problem for you-especially if it hasn't been noisy. But-this was a good opportunity for you to problem solve-and what a great job you did! We can do anything we need to, we just need to give it a bit of thought at times.
Rita-I have no idea what to say. I assume, if he was talking to you, he was able to get away. Can he leave the city where he is? Keeping you all in thoughts and prayers.
