    Lettuce and other produce

The news tells us that it has been hard to get the usual variety of produce we were able to find in stores a few years ago. Evidently this area has had a shortage of potatoes and lettuce, but we weren't aware of it because we grow our own. :)

    Hobbies

I just purchased a whole bunch more pens for my colouring on Friday. :) I got mostly blues and greens because I go through those ones quickly.

    Happy Birthday Allie

    Happy Canada Day!!

Barbie ... thank you for the new month! I'm hoping a red car is available and affordable for you!

Machka ... good reminders for care givers and anyone who is beginning to age. The non-skid bath mat has been an issue at my mom's assisted living facility. The shower pan is of poor design and nothing I purchased was able to grip (which I have discussed with the facility). Ended up buying water shoes with rubber treads and that seems to be helping. After suffering 2 major falls/breaks in a year, she is terrified of falling again will do anything to stay safe.

Not particularly confident in my scale, but I think I lost 2 pounds in June (or at least have stopped the upward creep). In July, I hope to extend my fasting to 21 hours per day with only a 3 hour window for eating ... 4:00-7:00. Since retiring from a physically demanding job, I discovered this week that I don't have the stamina I once did. Hope to remedy that by more intentional and consistent activity in July.

Barbie ~ Thanks for a new month. :) I am sorry you are feeling agitated over selling/buying your new car. When it happens, I wish you a safe trip.

Photos ~ Thanks to all of you for sharing! They make my day.

The granddogs went home late yesterday afternoon When my son came, they were so so excited to see him. I vaccumed the back of the house this AM and collected quite a bit of fur. Will start on the front of the house tomorrow and hopefully mop the wood floors.

Thanks Barbie for starting July on the right foot.🤗💖
This month will be minimizing snacking past 6 pm. After my hectic yet enjoyable June, its nice to relax a bit. My left foot still is giving me trouble from hurting it on June 16th. I will go in to doc and see if its healed ok, or what's going on. I am still limping around and there's parts of it that are still so sore.

Bought some broccoli today and have a small steak I will wok with onion, a 1/2 of a potato, and 1/2 of the broccoli bundle. The other half I want to steam and mix with pasta, and some cheesy sauce. I've got a taco night planned, and we bought a pan of lasagna so having a square of that one day. I have bananas and will slice those on a Kodiak fluffy waffle. I will have an over easy egg and bacon too. One of my days is labeled "breakfast extravaganza".
I might start counting my calories for my meals to see if I am on target.
Bought myself some new slippers. They're the kind you can throw in the washing machine. I am walking on a cloud.
I bought stamps at the post office today. I bought two sheets and a roll and it put us back $80 bucks! My pen pal hobby is expensive! But it makes me happy.
    Hugs to you ladies!

I forgot to mention that last night I tried jogging in place as a prelude to maybe running. I got about two steps before it was obvious that my new bra was sadly inadequate. It did wash pretty well, but apparently the all purpose bra has not yet been invented. Hmm. We can send a man to the moon but ...
