Lisa ETC glad you're feeling better, know I am a click away! Putting my two cents in on fasting, read any of the books by Gin Stephens, she's like the guru of the fasting world explaining it to us that can't handle medical-speak. Plus she has a good sense of humor when she writes.
Today I balanced the checkbook, then we'll set off later this morning for shopping. Husband has set the hot wheels race track up because Athens sent us some cars, plus a new car she bought for Grandpa to race her cars with. We video the race and send it to her.💖. Son sent a video clip of a moth that had emerged from its cocoon sometime during the night. He's so great about teaching her science, biology, and the wonders of plants and animals. 🤗💖
Well enjoy the day all!

Just a peak into my pantry, and frig. 😁. My food for the week (and beyond).
Its really nice to separate my foods from husbands, so if I want to get something I'm not skipping over his chips and candy. The frozen fish has two fillets inside, and I have one in the freezer already. The meatballs theres like 3 meals there. The bag of raviolis is like 3 servings as well. After I have it once, I keep it in the bag, use a clothes pin to seal it up, and put in the freezer though. Onions go in a paper sack, as well as the avocados. The mushrooms have a tray I like to separate them in. Its a leftover Mochi ice cream container. I put the tray in a paper sack, and use a wooden clothes pin to close it, and that goes in the fridge. I suppose you could just wing it and keep everything in a plastic bag and jam it in the crisper, but I do have a system.

Hello my friends!
My router has been up and down, and now just down. Dad messed with it without supervision. Now there's a technician coming tomorrow morning. I just need to clean up a few cords first.
So no music. No exercise videos. There goes the sister challenge. And my three year Spanish streak in Duolingo is in jeopardy. I'm cranky.

1. Take a small step to help overcome a problem or worry. I am working on helping my son through this tough time by being in contact with his case worker and tracking his location.
2. Adopt a growth mindset. Change “I can’t” into “I can’t…yet”. I try to never use those words. I follow Yoda’s ‘Do or not, there is no try”
3. Be willing to ask for help when you need it. I will. My back hurts today so will easily ask for help when I need it.
4. Find something to look forward to today. Missed posting this yesterday. So today I am looking forward to my therapy session.
5. Get the basics right: eat well, exercise and go to bed on time. Will do!
6. Pause, breathe, and feel your feet firmly on the ground. Will meditate today to help me do this.
7. Shift your mood by doing something you really enjoy. I really need to do this today. Did not do this. Had a bad day all around yesterday.
8. Avoid saying “must” or “should” to yourself today. I will try.
9. Put a problem in perspective by seeing the bigger picture. Trying to see my son’s decisions through his eyes.
10. Reach out to someone you trust and share your feelings with them. I did not do this.
11. Look for something positive in a difficult situation. My son is bonding with his uncle and grandmother.
12. Write you worries down and save them for a specific “worry time”. I will try to remember to do this. Write them in my journal.
13. Challenge negative thoughts. Find an alternative interpretation. I worked on this. I also learned a breathing technique to help.
14. Get outside and move to help clear your head. I do this every day, but the triple digit heat is preventing it.
15. Set yourself an achievable goal and take the first step. I have to think about this.
17. Use one of your strengths to overcome a challenge today. I use tenacity often so expect to use it here.
18. Let go of the small stuff and focus on the things that matter. I will try!
19. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. I need to really remember this!
20. When things go wrong, pause and be kind to yourself. I will definitely try.21. Identify what helped you get through a tough time in your life.RVRita in NM
22. Find 3 things you feel hopeful about and write them down.
23. Remember that all feelings and situations pass in time.
24. Choose to see something good about what has gone wrong.
25. Notice when you are being judge mental and be kind instead.
26. Catch yourself over-reacting and take a deep breath.
27. Write down 3 things you are grateful for (even if today was hard).
28. Think about what you can learn about a recent problem.
29. Be a realistic optimist. Focus on what could go right.,
30. Reach out to a friend, family member, or colleague for support.
31. Remember we all struggle at times. It’s part of being human.

Lanette - You have no idea how happy the idea of a chicken named "Gladys" makes me.
Allie - So glad that Miles is adjusting... He looks the same little happy boy. Grandma hasn't been replaced, she just gets to be Grandma now. It's a good thing for all of you.
Vicki - I hope your foot's better, it is a little worrisome...
Tracey - I love that dragon, but yes, I see a little of the feminine in it as well... It's absolutely gorgeous.
Rebecca - I love the peek into your pantry... One of the reasons I fell in love with Corey was the fact that he absolutely loves food and loves eating. Watching his face turn to bliss over a bite of food still makes me happy.

Music bingo last night was a hoot. The biggest problem I had was that I’d be singing the songs and would miss them on my cards to mark! Tonight we’re supposed to go to NY Hibachi and meet women from Newcomers to return the unused supplies.
Went to the dentist yesterday, he said that all’s fine, so that’s a relief
Shredded cabbage for coleslaw. Hey, I have to use it up! At 49 cents/pound, I HAD to buy it. This weekend I’ll probably make some soup with the rest of it.
Had a grilled chicken sandwich last night and only water to drink.
Allie – awwww, Miles isn’t one yet, is he? Miles’ daycare reminds me so much of what I envision KJ’s to be like
Debbie – that 5 Below sounds just like your Falling Prices place. Yea, same here, I just can’t be bothered hunting thru those bins. But was it ever crowded since it was $1 day. Yes, it seems that they do change the prices every day. And there were Amazon returns.
Rebecca – you are one of my favorite people on this thread. Well...you and everyone else that is! Looking at your pantry – what time should I be over????
Tracey – I think you’ll be great working with young children.
KJ – I’m so glad to hear how much your childcare parents appreciate you by bringing things for you. Am also glad you’re feeling better
Lisa ETC – your posts always make me smile, even when they’re about things that aren’t the best. You have such a way with words! I’m farther west, so no tornado problems here.
I know this makes Vince sad, but I called the Historical Society to see if they’d be interested in his crib. We really do need to get it out of the house. No one will use it. Denise never. Probably not Jess. It’s just sentimental to Vince. Even if the Historical Society doesn’t take it, I wonder if there’s a way I can tell him that they did and get rid of it on my own. It will probably make him feel better if he knew the Historical Society had it. There was a Home Theatre System that I’m going to call the Humane society’s restore and see if they’d be interested in it. They are more up-scale than the Salvation Army or Goodwill.

I don't remember you chatting about the crib before.... but i recently saw some repurposed furniture ideas, so went to pintrest and put in repurposed crib and some goofy stuff showed up BUT how to turn it into a patio bench, a cool looking patio table (with storage under) great as a drinks table by the pool...
so just another possibility.

Strava app= 749c2 -
Michele- Falling Prices and 5Below are owned by the same company here.
Went over and walked/jogged with my MIL's dog. A bit chilly at first but I warmed up.
Went and did some shopping for her and us,more for her(we don't need anything)
Came home and I had left over war won ton soup(added a ton of ginger and garlic to it)
Dh had minastrone soup and 2 corn dogs.
He is now out with Ezie's step grandpa- he text dh and actually came out and asked for money. We had offered him money when it was to help him fly back to the Philippines to be with his parents after the suicide attempt. We did not offer to give him money to pay his bills. He wants $1000, and doesn't want to let his wife or Ezie's mom know he is borrowing it. He said he needs $400 a month for his medical insurance.
The deal I told dh I am ok with will be- We will loan him $500 this month in return, first, it can NOT be a secret. They need to know about it, second, they do not pull Ezie from daycare. I will work out the details with Sabrina(Ezie's mom, NOT with grandma). If he is still not working next month, we will loan him the other $500 but it is a loan and will be paid back.
This way they keep their medical and I don't loose my total income every month , like I would if they pull her.
If I have to compromise and do two split days a week off, instead of the Thursday/Friday, like I want, I will do that
If they pull her, we will not be loaning him the money.
Will see how things go when he gets back-they are out having coffee now- dh was tired of trying to text back and forth.
Teriyaki wings are in the pressure cooker- cooking early so he can take them to his mom. They will go in the air fryer when they are done.
Need to make rice or just pull some from the freezer(I make bigger batches and freeze half so dh can have rice any time he wants-I rarely eat rice.)

Lanette: Interesting that the chicks didn't scatter once they were free. I didn't know they would stay so close and that you would be able to get them back in the pen.
Tracey: Looking forward to hearing about your camping trip. My son says it is hazy in Atlanta and that this is from the Canadian wild fires.
Carol: One of the ladies at WW who works in an office gets up every hour and does 500 steps. I plan to try this.
Machka: I am sorry you have pain in your knee. I loved the word art about cycling. Love the new dress!
Ginny: It is great that you still love what you do for a living. I am at home and I try to make to do lists to structure my time.
ETC: Lisa: Congrats on losing 38 pounds and about the stable hemoglobin.
Rori: The Queen tribute concert sounds like fun!
Barbie: Your description of the man at the DOL was inspiring. I wish I could be like that!
I have done WW 4 weeks and have only lost 3 pounds. I don't keep enough food in the house and snack on bread when I run low on food. I don't exercise every day. On the days I go to the rescue I eat an extra croissant to fill me up to give me energy. This is an extra 28 points a week that is not nutritious.
So i have gone from 190 to 187.
On a better note I went to the gym and did 7 miles in 64 minutes taking some 8 second breaks. The course was a computer program that was rated moderate but was probably a little too easy. My buttocks hurt from the seat of the bike and they hurt the next day. My knees seem okay. I was pretty pleased overall. I hope to go again tomorrow.
Best,
Rosemarie from Georgia

Annie - you'll do just fine on the long freeway drive. These things come back to us pretty quickly like riding a bicycle. Hopefully it will be at the time of day when there's not a lot of traffic. Bummer that your dad messed up the computer.
Lisa ETC - Happy that you're pleased I named a chicken Gladys, lol. Here's a pic of the girls on their walk last night. Gladys is the tan one in between the gray (Almy) and black (Fairy) one. Big Thelma is in the foreground checking out the water bucket. No egg today. I promise not to inundate you all with daily photos of the girls.
Michele - glad your dentist visit was good. Had my 6 month cleaning this morning - I'd been having some pain around one of my upper molars. They took X-rays, didn't see anything other than sinus congestion thanks to allergies. Whew.
Rosemarie - that's right, you are working on your biking muscles these days. My seated elliptical feels like a ride up a steep hill sometimes. But I know it's waking up some muscles. Yes, I'm amazed at what little tagalongs those chickies are. They've been hearing the sound of my voice for 4 months now and they know I'm the bringer of treats. I had them out early this afternoon, they scratched and pecked around in the shade of a tree. I got a lawn chair and just sat out there with them. All of a sudden one decided they needed to go back in their run and off they went back into to their safe space. I threw them a little cracked corn as a reward. I'll let them out again in a bit when I do watering.
Beth - good luck getting the digestive problems under control. I'll be curious to see what my Vit D levels are. I should call my doc and slide in there for a blood draw.
Barbie - Jake's concern about your driving the new car was cute.
Tracey - you would be great working with kids of all ages. I'm anxious to hear more about that Child and Youth Worker diploma program. Love your ceramics and the fact that your grands are so interested in them.
Heather - good job on the lower carb and AF menus.
The Weekly Accountability Post - several of you have expressed interest in it. My thought is - I'll "publish" it here in this group every Monday morning by noon. I'm in the US Pacific Time Zone. I would ask that you ladies who want to participate message me on MFP by the end of the day on my Sunday. I'm Sophierosiemom. Again, no WW rules here. If you normally weigh yourself every Wednesday, keep on doing that and reporting that weight is OK. If you want to report a weekly average, that's fine too. If you feel you need add a few sentences or a paragraph about a particular struggle, and not even report stats, please do that too. Whatever works for you will be just perfect.
Have a great evening-
Lanette

Kim – I called the historical society who thinks they will be able to use it. We need to put it together and then I’ll take a pic and send it to them. That’ll make Vince feel good knowing that it went there.
The Humane Society called me, they would like the Home Theatre System, even tho it doesn’t have the DVD player. It has everything else. They can probably sell it on their online auction.
Terri – do you play mahjongg online?
Debbie – if you do loan Ezie’s step-grandpa money, I’m sure you’ll be sure to get it in writing. You’re so right, it should NOT be a secret
Took a walk around the block and had some excitement. One firetruck came into the development but then a second one did. I saw that they were on our street and then I saw they were at the house across the street. I know the family is gone and her mother and aunt are there so I got worried, especially when a medical vehicle came. But it seems that they hit the wrong button. I’m thinking that they must have one of those “Home Alert” thing – you know the “I’ve fallen and can’t get up” thing.
Off to take a shower and then watch some TV if I can.

Thank you for the comments on the dress.
I've got several from the company Jacqui E ... I find they fit me well.
This is another one I have that I really like. It took me to the age of about 55 years old before I found a brand and style that works for me!!
We dress up in my office, so these are my work dresses.

Flat Fire now over 15,000 acres with mandatory “Leave Now” evacuations in place for the Oak Flat area 4 miles south/southeast of Agness. Not heavily populated but perhaps 40 structures in the area. Smoke not as bad today. Progress made clearing old breaks but zero percent contained after 5 days.
Belated welcome back @jennysikma Jenny. So sorry for your loss. ((hugs)) Best advice is to just start. Weigh and log everything that goes into your mouth so you know where you are. It’s a real eye-opener. Find an activity you enjoy so you can move more. Keep coming back here for inspiration, motivation and shoulders when needed.
