3 miles on this last day of November
Didn’t quite make it to 45 miles, but did cover more miles this month than I did in October.6 -
Apples 🍎 I don't really pay attention. Most of the apples I've had in Poland are yummy.
Pizza 🍕 I'll take meat lover's as my favorite, but like a variety. Hawaiian is OK for me, pizzas that look like someone dumped a salad on top are good, peppers within reason... just PLEASE do not put corn on it and label it " Pizza Amerykańska", as I don't know any Americans that eat it that way. Poles will also serve pizza with a kinda-spicy ketchup. I'll pass on that, too.
This morning I baked cookies (to freeze for school Christmas market, church, and family) for 3 hours before my energy just left me. It felt like powering down a machine. So I quickly threw lunch together and took a nap. I'm glad I've been able to sleep lately, as I think it's what my body needs.
Green swirls are plain sugar cookies, crescents are butter pecan/walnut, and the others are an adaptation of peanut butter Hershey's kiss cookies, using part PB and part gingerbread nut butter (and chocolate bar because I don't have the kisses).6 -
Hey team! It’s another week: another city to run in. This time Milford Haven in Wales. Managed two short runs to take my November 🏃♂️ total to 49.7 km / 60 km 🎯. Two days to go and 5k each day should see me hit target. I definitely would not have done it without this group - thank you!
Managed a 6k run this morning to leave just under 5k going into the last day. Good luck on the final day 💪
@quilteryoyo I work in Offshore Wind industry in UK as a logistics manager. Means travel to ports (boat visits), to customers (site visits) and to our business locations in Denmark, France, UK, Germany and Netherlands!!
Cheeky lunchtime 5k brings us past the 60k target 🎯 ! 🎉 Would 100% not have run this often if not for the challenge and this group. Thanks @quilteryoyo @AlphaHowls @martaindale @tarun_yadavA for the Strava kudos ! Good luck for those still coming in, and for the reset button tomorrow! Cheers.

Heavenly. These little chocolate drops are my favorite.5 -

I would need a nap also after all that baking! Glad you felt well enough to do it. And corn on pizza? Unheard of!4 -

158.43/130 miles completed for November
I ran 6 miles this morning to finish out November with 158 miles and completed my 30 Day streak for RTY. It was drizzling, but not too cold at about 57°F so I was able to wear shorts and a t-shirt. I didn't see any wildlife today, but overall I enjoyed the run. I was surprised to see a couple of walkers at the park. Usually when it is cold or wet the walkers don't get out until later. I'll have to look at my goal for December. Between the holidays and not streaking I probably won't get as many miles as this month. Thanks for setting it up @AlphaHowls.
@martaindale I hadn't realized that there were so many Aggies in this group. It is a small world. But like @SummerSkier I often had people ask me if I knew such and such who was also at A&M and of course I never did. I think a lot of people don't really realize how big some of the big universities are.
@polskagirl01 Those cookies look awesome. I would definitely be tired after all that baking. And I cannot imagine anyone putting corn on pizza.
Congratulations to all who made their goal and all who worked towards it. See you all in the December thread. (Dang, how did it get to be December already?)

It has been raining all day today...the final day of RTY 2023. I can't believe I did it (all running miles). When I thought about doing it at the end of last year, I thought it would be cool goal to try for in 2023. But by the end of January, I was thinking there is no way I can keep this up. In a few months it became easier, and then a couple months after that it was just normal. I don't want to sound all preachy or whatever, but don't ever tell yourself you can't do something. If you want it bad enough, you really can do anything. OK, I'm done. I'm going to go eat and sleep for a week 😜

Great running @Scott6255 ! Sounds like you have a very smart daughter. I'm sure you are proud of her and your son.
@Teresa502 I'm impressed that you got out and ran in 18F weather!
@tarun_yadavA My favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni and mushrooms. When I was in the AF in OH, my husband and I would order the same pizza delivered a lot. One day I noticed that the abbreviation they used for it was PMS and died laughing. It did make me feel better during "that time of the month." Least favorite: hummm. I'm not a real fan of any of the dessert pizzas, but then is it really pizza if it is all sweet and no Italian sauce at all. Oh, anchovies. Just NO to those.
@Laurz9191 Pretty snow. Your route is so flat!
@Zakkery86 Great running and that sounds like an awesome job to have.
Three days in a row @daria0919 is great! Congrats on running more in Nov than you did in Oct! That's fantastic!
Nice running @kgirlhart and love the deer!
Good luck on your HM this weekend @BeverlyW1108 !
You did great making your goal with all that other stuff @Teresa502 !
@mnsmov15 Congratulations on your step goal and being consistent. That's awesome.
You are doing great @martaindale!
@polskagirl01 Those cookies look great! Glad your energy held out until you finished and glad you are sleeping better.
Hahaha @scott6255! Big congratulations on running 2023 miles! That is amazing.

81.00/80 miles
Yesterday I was called into work, so just did a quick mile walk on the treadmill after work and before church.
Today, mom and I had breakfast with our 96 year old friend, did some Christmas shopping, and I got my tires rotated. I was pretty hungry when I got home, since we hadn't eaten lunch. So, I planned to go out and do a quick wun to get enough miles to make my goal. But, once I got going, it wasn't too bad and I was running more and faster than I thought I was going to, so wound up with an extra mile and a pace that was fast enough to call a run...13:33 min/mile. I was glad to make my goal.
The bigger news is that I also made my goal for the year of 1000 miles! That did count all running, fast walking (at least 3.5 mph), and other intentional activities like mowing, tennis, gutters, etc.
Upcoming race: Space Force T minus10 miler - 9 Dec
Thanks for setting up Dec @AlphaHowls ! It is hard to realize that Dec is already here. I'm not sure where the year went!8 -
Congratulations on running the year @Scott6255 !
Congratulations too @quilteryoyo on meeting your goal for the year!
Good luck on your HM this weekend @BeverlyW1108 !5 -
Congratulations @Scott6255 and @quilteryoyo on hitting your year goals!
Good luck at RnR @BeverlyW1108!! Hope you have fun with it!
@polskagirl01 - Can you send me the recipe for the pecan/walnut cookies? I always bake family favorites during the holiday but don't think I will have it in me this year. Those look especially delicious though because I love cookies with nuts in them!
I am done for November. Haven't gotten a walk in since Thanksgiving day. Ended up with 17/20. Hoping I will be able to get more in for December but not counting on it as the treatments are getting more draining.
🍕- I used to love it. A good pepperoni with mushrooms, olives, yum. But then I started to find it caused all kinds of stomach issues. Now I am wondering if at least some of that was due to the creature causing havoc in my pancreas. I still stay away from pepperoni for now but have been enjoying a veggie pizza with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, onions and either klamata or black olives and have not had any issues. I don't like a lot of meat on my pizzas (a little pepperoni and/or sausage is about it) and never anchovies. I like Hawaiian but never jalapeños.

Nice job with your walks @shanaber. You almost made your goal. I am hoping you feel well enough for a few walks in Dec. Big hugs to you.1
