Today’s gratitude: ibuprofen. After yesterday’s 12K+ steps, thought I’d be more sore this morning, but thankfully not.
Called Sears, got automated system that sent link to track part. Should be delivered Monday. Finger’s Xd.
Ginny would you share the name of the lotion?
Kylia I struggled for a while with calcium tablets that were too large, kept getting lodged in my throat. Then one time, soon as I swallowed it, it came right back up and out like a projectile. Decided that if my body was rejecting it so forcefully it wasn’t the right supplement for me
Lisa “…married the right guy” as did you! Believe me, Joe has grown into the right guy, ‘twas not always so… so I am most grateful.
Rita “national shopping day” well that explains a lot! Scored a quart of local raw honey, a coiled wire and bristle brush boot/mud scraper and 3 bags of fine bark mulch all on the ways to/from dog group. All things I’ve been looking for but not finding,
Laughingdakini1 so very sorry for your loss. Our pets take part of our hearts with them when they go. ((hugs))
Carol yup, I was surprised and touched. He HAS grown into being a very very good husband.
Rebecca the brownies as packing material, as will your eldest.

I struggled for a while with calcium tablets that were too large, kept getting lodged in my throat. Then one time I had it in my mouth for a bit while I worked myself up to swallow it ... and suddenly realised that it tasted all right, so I chewed it, and it was OK! Then I looked at the container and discovered that it said they were vanilla flavoured and chewable!!! I had used them for weeks without realising!!
But I used glucosamine for a while, and they were also big ... but unfortunately they weren't chewable. When I was using them, I cut them in half and swallowed them in 2 goes.

Tracey: 🥰 the cookie house
Heather: Nice bunch of ladies. Glad you had a good catchup with them.
Pg 282 -
Allie: That must have been such a shock. You’re a good neighbour and friend.
Lisa: You’ve certainly made good use of the pottery classes. Hope that the kiln is kind. I always loved the anticipation of what the pieces looked like after a glaze firing. I used a lot of reactive glazes, so that pieces were unique.
@laughingdakini1 Sorry about your cat. My daughter just lost hers a couple of weeks ago, so I know how you feel. They are part of our families.
Friday was so busy, with Latin Study Group before lunch and then card-making after. I’m trying to clear up a lot of old papers, so that took care of yesterday.
Today I’m chilling, and will visit DED after lunch. Also laundry to fold and put away. At least I am at home tomorrow morning so should get most of that out of the way.
We’re also working on our winter bulb planting.
Miele failte to our new ladies. Jump in when the spirit moves you. It’s a busy group.
🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 to all

Good morning ladies!

Lisa-my children put together lists for the kids (in consultation with them). The delay is usually the parents finding time! My oldest son usually reminds me that a donation to children's college fund is a present for him! Last year when at their house a few days before Christmas we found a 12 foot or so prelit Christmas tree on sale for most excellent price-that became their Christmas present.
Barara AHMOD- https://a.co/d/dkVpWgP is what I am using. I put it on with a glove because first time I used it I discovered it was tough to get off hands! It doesn't take a lot. I use it twice a day (am not going to bother at work).
Terri- I find your Latin study group to be very interesting. I took one year of Latin in school, then it wasn't offered. I have always liked the study of languages. I have wanted to learn to read classic Greek so I could read Aristotle and Plato in the original. Perhaps it is not too late to give up on that goal,
Swallowing pills has not typically been a problem for me. I literally swallow a handful of supplements at once. A pill cutter is a handy tool to keep on hand for solid pills.
Went to sleep early last night so got up very early. Will take short nap later if needed. Back to chipping away at list.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

My father taught Koiné Greek (also known as Hellenistic and Biblical Greek), but when he was learning it, he taught it to my mother, brother and me. So I first learned it at about the age of 11 or 12. Then I took courses from him in my first degree. I think I took 2 or 3 semesters.
A few years later, I took 2 semesters of Latin.
I have lost a lot of it, but some of it comes back to me now and then.

This morning, we went to a meeting of our bee club. First time in a little while! It was a short get together this time, but we did find out that we may be getting a small swarm of bees later this week.
We think a small swarm has moved into one of our hives, so this new one would go into the other hive. But we will need to have a look at our hives to see what is actually going on!
Me and our hives ... from last season.

After the bees, a wave of energy encompassed me, and I cleaned the bathroom. Not only cleaned but organised and got rid of some stuff!! Stuff was building up and I wanted a more serene feeling in there.
Then I went outside with Rhody, and weeded some more.

Lisa: You have inspired me to do more for Christmas! I think I will get Christmas cards out!
Annie: I have ordered shoes on line. Sometimes when you want to return them, the shipping fee is high.
Ginada cat: Congrats on your weight loss! I have given up on shoes with tie laces!
RVRita: I am still learning how to live under my new budget. I finally made a detailed budget of fixed costs because I wanted to see how much extra income there actually is. Now every time I purchase something I deduct it from that figure in my head.
Barbie: I admire your weight loss and that you walk every morning!
Debbie: The fireplace is beautiful. Good luck with the blackberry bushes!
Michele: Great working in the soup kitchen.
Grandmallie: My sympathy on the loss of your friend.
Heather: Hope you have a great time or had a great time with your friends!
Annie: The lunch with the Bourbon shrimp and scallops sounds wonderful!
Sue: I hope your chest Ct reading is okay. Air fryers are pretty popular. I have never taken an interest in them as of yet.
Kylia: Good of you to go in the man cave!
Lanette: I need to get. back to using my weights!
Kylia: I love the Christmas cactus!
I still have the pups that I am fostering. The feedings at night are tiring me! They do love to be held and cuddled with and I enjoy doing this with them! I am cleaning the house for my son and DIL who will come Friday night before we head to the beach on Saturday. There is some chance of rain each day at the beach. I am bringing my calligraphy and art supplies and knitting for activities to do in the housel It will be good to have a change even if we stay in the house quite a bit.
Best,
Rosemarie from Georgia

Michele I think those calcium tablets are like horse pills too! I did learn if you keep your chin tucked down as you swallow that helps. Still I think they are too big!1

Good morning from the chilly but already sunny climes of the Arkansas River Valley...
Just under freezing this morning when I woke, so I guess fall is finally here. The pattern will be chilly mornings and reasonably warm days all week long if the weather critters have forecast correctly, so it's a great time for the work we're doing outside, at least in the afternoons anyway. I genuinely need to get out and do something physical today, and I will once it warms up about another 20 degrees!
Kylia - That Christmas cactus in bloom is just spectacular.
Machka - Got to love it when the energy comes back. Glad your bee situation is looking up, hope your swarm is quite successful. My sister decided she wanted to read the Bible in the original languages, so she learned Biblical Hebrew, a smattering of Aramaic and Biblical Greek. I respect those who can pick up another language. I have tried in the past to pick up Spanish, but so far without success.
Heather - Hope your visitors relax and enjoy themselves, and that you do too.
Rosemarie - Have fun at the beach! Are you taking the foster pups with you, or will they stay at the shelter while you're gone?
The potassium pills I'm taking are nearly as big around as my ring finger, and they do occasionally stick, but I've found that it has to do with the texture of the pill's coating. The ones that are slick go down just fine, but the ones like potassium that don't have that coating are most likely to stick. When I just can't get one to go down successfully, dipping it in honey makes all the difference.
Nice quiet morning. I'm going to try to make a New York-style cheesecake in the Instant Pot a little later. Got all the ingredients out coming to room temperature... should be interesting!
Hope it is or was a lovely, peaceful Sunday for all,
Lisa in AR

Good morning, ladies.
Machka, good you are getting more bees. Nice bee pic.
Another mild day here which is absolutely wonderful. Taking advantage of it by getting out for dog walks with Buddy and Lucy and they are loving it. Decided to trim Lucy's face a bit myself as I really don't want to take her to the groomer as cold days are approaching. She is so good. Trim job looks crooked for sure but now I can see her sweet face much better. I know I'll get better at trimming as time goes on. Ordered a set of scissors for dog grooming from amazon and should be here next week. Really didn't want to get in to dog grooming but I can see I need to at least keep her face trimmed during the winter. I brush her coat out daily and it seems to be keeping good.
Finished Christmas shopping and actually came up with ideas for some that are harder to buy for.....like my 26 year old grandson so pleased about that. Just waiting for 2 more gifts to come in the mail. Happy that chore is over with.

Joy I trim Teddy myself. He is half Maltese, and has a lot of hair! His nose and eyebrows get so he can't see. Right now his nose is way too short on one side - the pink shows through. But I'm the only one who cares. Next job is a nail trim.

God, I offer myself to Thee
To build with me
and to do with me as Thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self,
that I may better do Thy will.
Take away my difficulties,
that victory over them may bear witness
to those I would help of Thy Power,
Thy Love, and Thy Way of life.
May I do Thy will always!
