September 22nd, Meals, Sleep & Steps

Lousy night sleep. Insomnia was at its peak. Meals was great. Steps are from rocking. Rain yesterday. Will have rain today and tomorrow too according to weather app. We need it though. Southwestern Ontario has had quite the heat wave for September.

8 min deep sleep, you poor thing!
I did fairly well last night although I haven’t analyzed my statistics. It was a little warm & humid - we turned off the AC after last month’s $660 electric bill, ouch! Some more light rain showers came through early this morning and one of my big dogs climbed in bed with me; it was pretty cozy.

    September 23rd. Sleep and meals

Did better sleep wise. I like 9 hrs with almost 2 hrs of deep sleep. I would like to keep that each night.

Raining all day here and into tomorrow. I have to run some errands today. Should have done it yesterday. Too lazy to do it. Now I have to go out in the rain. That will teach me. And I knew the rain was coming too. Dumbass.

Taking my vitamins and herbal supplements I’ll go out about 1 pm I think.

    September 24th, Meals & Sleep

My meal was ok. I only ate at supper. Was feeling lazy yesterday. It rained all day.

My sleep last night seems to have been quite restless to start but evened out later. Although it only shows 40 minutes of deep sleep which sucks. I need to figure out a way to get more deep sleep

Just did 20 min on my gazelle. I love my gazelle especially since having knee issues. This is my second one. The first one I had for more than 20 yrs. I even bought replacement parts for it but they were no longer available so I invested in a new one. This one is red. It’s a gazelle sport.

My goal is to start doing 20 minutes every other day until October. Starting October 1st my goal is to do 20 minutes a day.

My goal will be to add weights in November every other day.

Today’s weigh in. Lost another pound. That is a 30 lb total from my highest and 19 lbs since I started this new journey on my Birthday June 9th.

I’ve added raw pumpkin seeds to my brunch to get more fibre into my system. I slept pretty good. At least an hour and a half of deep sleep. That is an improvement on previous days.

I have an old rusty HealthRider (more like a rowing machine than anything; it had its “phase” a good solid 30 yrs ago!)
For a while I had mine set up on porch & I would go “row” for 20 minutes while I watched some video on my iPad… I need to grease mine up & see if I can crank out a few minutes!

    endurovet,

That sounds like a solid plan. FYI: my Facebook account has been suspended and I have no idea why. I’m appealing it I don’t even know if it’s real or I’m been hacked

September 26, Meals, Sleep and weigh in

Yesterday turned out to be a very bad day in my computer world. Spent a lot of time on the phone in the afternoon and did not get anything accomplished.

My meals were ok. I didn’t go off and food south my issues away which is something I normally would do.

I didn’t sleep worth crap though. Only 4 hrs with 39 minutes of deep sleep. I woke up several times too with a song playing in my head. One line going over and over.

Imagine my surprise when i stepped on the scale to see I was down 2 lbs. I couldn’t believe it. I got off my sure my scale was balanced and got on again to the exact same number. I am so thrilled. It’s taken me much longer to get to my next goal. I’m not there yet but I am so close.

The only thing about fish that I don’t like. After you calculate your serving for calories and you are very full you still have about 200 to 300 calories left on your day.

Ok, that explains a lot! So I’ll just duplicate the post I just made (hope you get it straightened out soon):

Enjoying my last few moments of privacy before my roommate arrives: my colleague Dr M, who was originally going to bunk with her daughter in Heath & drive into Ft Worth for the state veterinary conference, declared that traffic was too bad (duh; that’s why I splurged on downtown hotel rooms for me & my girls - we’re saving at least 3-4 hrs of commute time each day).
At least I got in 10K genuine steps of my own today, even sleep was decent, especially being away from home…

Endurvet, the sleep is impressive for being away from home. The deep sleep is real good too.

Steps are amazing. That is awesome for you. If you eat well too I think you will see some pounds drop off.

Yes. I may not get FB back until Monday. I also have frozen bank accounts for at least 5 to 7 days too. It’s a mess.

So for now, l’ll post here and on my tumblr account. If I have a new weigh in I also post it on my Instagram.

    September 27th, Meals and sleep

Meals were good but when I have fish the calories are so low and I’m so full but I had a cheese stick before I went up to bed so I could take an Aleve about 2 hours after I ate to add enough calories and so the Aleve would not upset my stomach.

Sleep was not so great. Hardly any deep sleep at all and I was dreaming a lot. I’ll be looking them up later but I went blind trying to drive home with my son in the vehicle and in another one a friend had a 3 legged puppy.
    Very weird.

My computer issues still have not been resolved

My chicken last both for supper I used a different seasoning I wanted to try OMGosh so salty. I knew when I woke this morning I would be higher in weight because all that salt caused me to retain water. So today along with my usual vitamin B complex I took an extra B6. I’m still drinking hordes of water. I’ll have to add some lemon to my water too.

    zktkdgc6ynip.jpeg

Now sleep sucked. Less than 4 hrs & only 38 minutes deep sleep. I hope I sleep better tonight. With all the stress that I’ve be been under I need a good night of sleep

I may get my FB account back Monday or Tuesday. I hope.

September 28 (Sat) was a banner day for me:
A.) sleep was fairly decent Friday night, even with my unexpected roommate. Saturday night wasn’t as good bcz I hosted both Dr M & her husband (long story but we’d all gone out for a nice steak dinner**, he was too tired to drive back to their daughter’s house.
** I will chalk it up to “paying the piper” since MM insisted on picking up the check for dinner. I admire that in a man! 😉
B.) I fasted all day Saturday in preparation for our big splurge Saturday night. It was a great dinner with exotic sausage, one of the best steaks I’ve ever put in my mouth, and trekking in search of desserts afterwards.
C.) I attended my first “in-person” yoga class in probably 2 yrs; I had to drop out of a couple of the more challenging flows as my knees were popping alarmingly (which was thankfully painless). So today I went back to Master Dan’s hot yoga class - again, I couldn’t do it all, but I stayed for the whole sequence regardless.
    D.) almost 8900 steps/3.9 miles yesterday, and 4600 steps/2 miles + today’s hour of hot yoga.
But I’m not expecting any big drop on the scales tomorrow due to muscle soreness/inflammation

I vowed to post my weight today, even though I knew it wouldn’t be favorable: 194 (up 3 lbs) which I’m certain is partially sodium bloat with a LOT of muscular inflammation. I’m pretty stiff & sore this morning, worst of all down my R glute. (My R leg is my “good” leg for balancing poses in yoga, so that accounts for my extra effort there)
No news from Kristy so I presume all is stable with her mom; I’ll find out in about an hour & a half when I get on back into work…

Computer issues continue. I’m becoming paranoid. I have people working on it though.

Meals were ok. No excessive salt.

So this is the gazelle I now have. I love to gazelle. As I have stated previously I’m going to add more cardio exercise to my lifestyle. I’m hoping, baring any knee pain, to gazelle every other day for 20 minutes and work up from there time wise. At one time I could gazelle for hours watching tv(Nascar race). I don’t think I’ll get back up to that but my goal is to work up my time.

Because I like to gazelle in front of the tv rather than listen to music or a book I bought a small Roku tv to put in front. It arrives tomorrow. I’ll have no excuses.

    My September wrap up.

As you can see from this picture I ate according to my lifestyle without veering off at all. I lost a total of 14 pounds during this month. The happy faces I use to show eating plan compliance. The star is for at least 20 minutes of exercise.

My plan for October is to continue on my eating plan without veering off and to add exercise every other day starting with today. The month of October should have at least 16 stars when the month is over baring injury or bad knee flame up.

That’s a great month - here’s looking forward to more of the same!
Meanwhile, I am jarred by my son’s unfortunate accident (gonna go blog about it) - he had just done his first community outreach yesterday (working late), upbeat & happy after a 12-hr workday - but then some kid ran a stop sign & Z couldn’t avoid hitting him. He’s shook up, I’m sure insurance will total the poor old Impala, so, like it or not, he’ll have to take on another car payment… Ugh!
Lots to do on my double-booked workday today if I still plan on getting out of town mañana.
It’s been a standstill month for me, but at least I’ve been able to ramp up my exercise

Food was good. I did get 20 min of exercise marching in place because my son is here a we are doing a Tremors movie marathon. It was the best I could do in the living room.

Sleep was good thank goodness but I did wake up with a headache this morning so that sucks. The kind right across the forehead.

Weight fundamentally stable at 193.6 this AM (actually braced for worse since hubby & I went out for our belated anniversary dinner last night - Italian!). Sucking down my coffee before I go out to finish loading up for my trip - the weather is great, I won’t miss this opportunity to see Pole Canyon again since they have put the ranch on the market and we have no way of knowing if new owners will still allow access?

    October 2, Meals & Sleep

Meals was fine. Ate once, supper. Stayed under my calories a little too low but I was a bit stressed and didn’t want to go over.

    gbdbwspppn3s.jpeg

Sleep Sucked. I fell asleep ok but woke up to pee and then had trouble getting back to sleep. Then woke again to follow my son to the tire place where he left his vehicle then took mine to work. I went back to bed but was charging my Fitbit so it didn’t record the extra sleep. So figure more from 7 am to 11 when I got a call. I’m up now

    qyjoc7ac7fv8.jpeg

I did mange to get 10000 steps in my day without trying though

October 3, meals and sleep and stuff

I was hacked then scammed. I lost money and my Facebook. I will not be getting my Facebook back at this time. I will have to start a new Facebook. But my brain is not reading for that yet.

My meal was easy because I was on the phone all day trying to report that I was suckered and now have to do some things in person.

My sleep sucks. I tossed and turned so much. The 5 hrs it say I got is not true. I think I actually fell asleep around 4 or 5 this morning.

Yesterday was supposed to be an exercise day and I didn’t get that either.

I can only hope next week is better

So sorry to hear about your troubles - my Facebook account was also hacked about 12 or 13 years ago but fortunately I didn’t lose any real money, just stress and aggravation!
I didn’t sleep nearly as well as I usually do in horse camp last night but I hope to do better tonight.

I was restive & fretting about Silas’s ability to handle this tough terrain (it’s beautiful, bit lots of rocky hills); however he did alright with only a few trips & stumbles; 16 mi in exactly 4 hrs.
What I haven’t decided is whether I feel like pushing him through it again mañana? It is still pretty damn hot (approaching 90° today) and the creeks are all bone dry.
