I went to the gym this morning. Lots of legs and core today. I worked at daycare afterwards for about 3 hours and then came home.
I did a driveway wun, mostly because I am coughing quite a bit from the sinus issues. It's hard to run when you can't breath. AND I didn't want to do too much on the ankle, even though it isn't hurting or swollen today. I think it's good now.
After I rested a bit and ate a BLT, I decided to bush hog with the DR for about an hour. I'm trying to get the hill done that I did in the Spring. It has grown up so much already, but is much easier now that it would be if I wait until Spring again.5 -
Popped in to say hello. - have had tendinitis in my left ankle - it’s been very painful. I’m on my feet a lot when not running so it’s not having time to heal.
Now I have Covid!! Ugh!!😩8 -
Oh no @daria0919, that’s awfully bad luck. I hope you recover from both quickly.
@quilteryoyo, Hubby was at a squash tournament (for old chubby guys apparently), and managed to win Division 2 singles.
Just 5k for me today. Lovely sunshine, warm and breezy. Great to get out after a day at my desk.8 -

Haha, it's quite funny, right? Their calorie estimates are on the high side, mind.2 -
Morning all
Got in 9.0 at 09"44.
Ate like a fat idiot last night. So TRYING to make up for it this morning7 -
Sorry to hear about the 'Vid @daria0919
Everyone catch that guy Noah Lyle and COVID... Still won a bronze lol. Cocky dude.6 -
Oh no @daria0919 . I hope your foot heals and you recover from CoVID quickly!
Nice run @ContraryMaryMary . Congrats to your husband. That's awesome. Does he ever run with you?
Great run @tarun_yadavA . I feel like I have been eating like that for a month. LOL I did catch that he had CoVID. I was surprised to hear that they let them compete if they tested positive. I'm guessing there is a surge in cases after the Olympics.

@emptydog – the Rhonda 500? I agree with @quilteryoyo - I could easily see @AlphaHowls running the 500 laps….
Well done to your brother @Mari33a and love the smiles!
I hope you are better soon @daria0919!

@quilteryoyo I really appreciated the big picture. It looked like it would be a pretty crunchy running location .
@AlphaHowls I had to chuckle reading about Rhonda Roundabout. France is full of roundabouts with multiple lanes and options. We made hundreds of extra loops trying to guess our correct exiting position, with our friends following us round and round in the car behind . The navigating discussions were quite heated at time, and I was always glad I wasn’t the one driving .

Finally finding a bit of time to post my runs. Yesterday was an easy 11.1km. The weather was quite ok and that’s about all I can remember about the run.
Today was soooooo hot. Luckily, it was as just starting to really heat up when I was running. I did a progression run that really kicked my butt the last 15 minutes. I was so sweaty and red and dripping, and pretty much had to go straight to the classroom. However my students were all sweaty and drippy themselves, from riding their bikes, so it turned out quite ok in that regard . I ran 13km.
We are supposed to get thunderstorms tonight/tomorrow so it will hopefully be a short heat wave. I really can’t function properly in the heat here.
95/270km for August.

Well the plan was run/hike/walk about 200kms this month. Naturally, I had to stub my little pinky toe really really nicely now where I'm hobbling. I don't think it's broken but boy is it sore. I'm only at 83kms so far but I just hope to get to 175kms. Pray for me.7

09/08 4.07 miles

Had another good run this evening but the weather is so windy, it wrecks me.5 -
Nice running @Laurz9191 . I'm glad you were all sweaty so that no one cared. LOL
Oh no @WarmJellyfish ! I hope your toe heals quickly and you are able to get back to running/walking soon.
Nice running @mari333a . Wind is hard!

I decided to try out the Garmin Jeff Galloway HM training plan. Today was the benchmark run...walk 2 min/run 5 min strong/walk 2 min. I was pleased that I ran 0.45 miles in that 5 min for a pace of 11:07 min/mile. Avg HR was 124 with a max of 141 bpm.
After I finished, I did a 35 min wun. I counted the middle 1.1 miles as a run because the avg pace for that was 14:03 min/mile. The rest I counted as a walk.
We mowed mom's lawn this afternoon. My part of the push mowing was about 15 min.
We're going to a friends house tonight for dinner to celebrate mom's birthday (She'll be 89 years old on Thursday). Thursday night, we're going out to a local restaurant with my Aunts and then on Friday going out with the neighbor's. Lots of celebrating and I'm sure way too many calories. I hope I don't gain too much before this month is over.5 -
We woke to the return of winter this morning, but fortunately, it is my favorite kind of winter - white frost, blue skies, and sunshine. I did the usual loop, but it was at least 4k before I could feel my toes.6
-
@WarmJellyfish! Oh shoot. Little toe smashes hurt like heck! Hope it isn't broken.
@daria0919 . hope your foot heals and your CoVID is mild.
Just can't take the heat, so have stuck with the TM the last couple days.

Happy Birthday to your mom @quilteryoyo and enjoy the celebrations! You are blessed to have her in your life.
Right now, it’s so hard for me to imagine your cold weather @ContraryMaryMary but your mention of cold toes brought it back to me.

Nice cold run yesterday @ContraryMaryMary .
@Scott6255 I know that you don't like the TM, so you are doing great to get it done. I hope the heat gives you a break soon.
Nice run this morning @tarun_yadavA .
Nice 5F5 this morning @Teresa502 . Thanks for mom's birthday wishes. I know I am blessed to have her, especially in such good health. She takes fewer pills than I do.

@Teresa502 Nice 5F5!
@ContraryMaryMary It cooled me down just hearing about your cold weather . It sounds like a nice run, minus toe coldness.
I have a hard run planned for tomorrow 16km with 12 of them at goal marathon pace, and had a hard run yesterday, so today I took it easy on pace. I ran 11km. The sky and clouds were really beautiful with the sun shining through, so I stopped to take a picture.

It's been a crazy couple of days. Yesterday I ran a nice 6 mile run. It was 81°, so hot and pretty uneventful. We are doing inventory at work today. I work in accounting for an oil and gas company and we own a Service and Supply store. I am the lucky accountant who handles the accounting for the store, so I get to head up the inventory. We are supposed to be doing a quarterly count today. But yesterday we had all kinds of issues with the reports for the sections so I am having to do some more uploads so we can print out the sheets we'll use to count. So I am sitting and waiting on the computer to finish the uploads. It is very stressful. I hate when I can't do anything to make it go faster. I did run this morning though. I didn't have much time, but I got 3 miles in. It was 82° today. I am so ready for some cooler weather. And to be done with this stupid inventory.

At the end of next week I'd planned to run a half marathon, but running went so rubbish for most of this year that it's just not possible. But I'm kind of able to run for about a month again, and this is something I'm happy with.6 -
@Teresa502 Nice 5F5!

Last night I thought I might try a garmin plan so went for a 10km. It is more to speed me up a little than run 6 miles & change things up a little. I still have no interest in doing a race. I did the benchmark run this morning & was surprised I was still able to do 4 miles this evening.
@WarmJellyfish I feel ur pain🙈. I did that last year, running down hill hurt for ages. I’m fairly sure it was broke & it still hasn’t returned to same size as other little toe. No pain tho now.5 -

Great running @Laurz9191 . Love the picture. So pretty.
@kgirlhart Nice running. Sorry about the stressful inventory. I hope it is relatively uneventful from this point until it is done.
@yirara I'm sorry you weren't able to train for the HM. You are doing great considering you were sick.
Nice running @Mari33a . I hope the Garmin plan works out for you. Which coach did you chose?
Well, that stinks @AlphaHowls . I hope they turn it back on at some point.

I went to the gym this morning, even though I really didn't feel like it. I hurt my shoulder somehow yesterday, and I wasn't sure I would be able to do much and really didn't want to try. But, I went and did a shortened workout, mostly legs.
After I got home, I did a driveway wun. Still coughing quite a bit, so didn't feel like running a lot. Avg pace was 14:58 min/mile. Avg HR was 118 with a max of 137 bpm.
After I rested a bit, I did do another hour-ish of bush hogging with the DR.7 -
Miss 10 wanted to walk to school today (stopping en route for a hot chocolate) so we did that (2k) before my Thursday 10k, however running the usual loop then home is only 9.3k so that will have to do - too tired to do any more. That’s my fourth day on the trot and I have no idea how you streakers do it. So looking forward to rest day tomorrow.
On the good side, I did get to see a cute calf hanging out with his very protective dad (he wasn’t that happy with me taking photos of his family).
In less happy, but happily ever after in the end news, one of my good running friends went to the optometrist last week as her eyesight was degrading and was promptly sent to the hospital. The next day she had a nine-hour surgery to have a golf ball-sized tumour removed from her brain (it was pressing on her optic nerve). I went to see her today and she’s come through really well. The tumour was fully removed and has tested benign. But she won’t be back running for a while. She’s looking a little odd with 39 staples along her hairline and a very odd haircut to match.

@quilteryoyo - I chose Coach Amy Parkerson Mitchell
@ContraryMaryMary - Your poor friend. It's terrible what people have to go through but also amazing what medicine can do!4
