Rebecca if it is Crohn's are they recommending a gluten free diet? Gut issues can show up on the skin...My friend I just talked to whose DH was in foreign service ended up with type two diabetes she thinks it was from the stress of being in Iran and his diet. Unfortunately in this day and age we often have to become our own doctor. It is our body and figuring out the clues to what is wrong sometimes does fall on us. Doctors can help but only so far...Support him to keep digging until he gets the answers that are the root cause!

I’m still waiting on my car to be finished. According to my insurance app, it should be finished today.

My brother is doing much better with his recovery.

I’m with those who will take every “I Love you” I can get, although it does annoy me when it seems automatic from someone who doesn’t show it by their actions.

I’ve been struggling lately to get my steps. It is just too hot. I need to switch up my morning routine, I think. Do my long walk, then have my tea and devotion time. I have been doing a decent job of staying in my calorie deficit, but not so good with logging. I diligently planned out today’s meals, only to log them on Wednesday! I don’t even know how that happens. At least it made it easy to click the little circles again, since they were at the top of my frequently eaten foods.

Tracey--What a beautiful table and the dishes really top it off. You did a great job.
Deb--Glad she has a move out date. I pray she leaves with no problems or trys to push the date out for more time.

Barbara – the article on the net said that pushups were strenuous. To me, they’re not at all. They also said situps. Perhaps if you do a full situp it MIGHT be.

Lisa – I don’t criticize Ken and Lynette for saying “I love you” every few minutes, it’s just strange to me that you have to say it every few minutes

I’m wondering if I might have EIA. Yesterday, after mowing the weeds, I came inside to take a shower and I think I could hear myself wheezing. I do remember taking things downstairs like the Halloween decorations and Christmas decorations, and after coming up the stairs, I was out of breath. Gotta see if this continues.

Worked, then dropped some boxes off at the church, then to WalMart to do shopping, then the soup kitchen where I put things in their refrig. Home and I’m thinking that in a few I’ll go in the pool

Tracey – you SHOULD be proud. That table is awesome!

Rebecca – good thoughts sent for your son. How frustrating for you and him

Walk – I like to take my walk after dinner. Seems to help settle the stomach, too. Plus, it’s usually cooler

John and I say 'Love you' a lot, but not usually in public. We are not ones for constant texting. I do more of that with G.

I was absolutely knackered after my trip to the Co-op. It was at the limit of my ability. Around 400 yards. I had a good hour's nap afterwards. Just took my stick, not my crutch.

Kedgeree for dinner with masses of asparagus. Heaven. Friday night is wine night, so John chose a lovely white wine.

My brother's trip to London was for a healing service at the Methodist church there. Also a Catholic one for his wife. Then they finished with a drink at the Opera House . He is a Born Again Christian.

He begins treatment on Monday.

Afternoon ladies
Busy day..took Doris to eye dr,she will have her retina replaced..
And her hearing aid was having issues, so we were near the hearing aid place across the river so we stopped over and one of the tubes was broken,so they fixed both of them and we were off.and stopped to feed her daughters cat and mini horse chip..
And then home..we always have a good time.

Machka: Yes, you have definitely earned a nice weekend off.

I got stung on the arm by a wasp at work two days ago and it still hurts. Fortunately I'm not allergic, but I am now just a bit more aware of them buzzing by me at the pool, on my deck or just about anywhere I go outside.

I'm am getting closer to choosing a package to Phuket. And, have started the process to renew my passport. Lanette: No, N will not be going to Thailand with me. He spends Thanksgiving with family, and that is when I'll be leaving. He is busy planning our 6th Playdate, which currently looks like camping and then attending the concert known as FarmAid. This takes place next month. Can't wait. Although we text daily, I do miss his company.

Stay well, friends. We can do this.

Rori - Good to see you. I was never good at long-distance relationships... you deal with it much better than I ever did.

Rebecca - So hard when they're far away and you can't reach out and hug them at times like this.

Heather - He looks very serene, not resigned, just at peace. Thinking you of you both, as well as his loving wife.

Waiting on Corey's coming home call - meatballs are out thawing for the evening meal (two for me, six for him). They will be great with his home-grown, home-canned marinara, a little pasta, half a piece of my homemade focaccia bread (also thawing from frozen) and a little parmesan.

With that, I'm going to land in the same calorie space as yesterday, but one thing I learned a long while back was skipping dinner (for me) isn't worth it, as I just wake up and eat everything in sight tomorrow, and then spiral out for the rest of the day.

So I'll eat dinner, and tomorrow I'll finish out my week of honest tracking of every calorie going in and out and adding a little movement into each day. Next week, I'll look at each day as a single frame, track everything, eat a few less calories here and there, start getting this weight trend going the other direction.

Did get ten minutes of yoga done, but even doing the Epley maneuver on the right side this morning didn't stop all the vertigo. I'll keep working on it. Might not be positional this time, but sometimes it does take more than one attempt.

Rebecca Question...has your sin seen a dentist lately? I have had two friends with wounds that wouldn't heal. Turns out they had infection in their gums. Worth asking about. My son in law developed psoriasis in the Navy. Under stress it would get awful. Just a couple suggestions.

Rori how nice to see you! A few years ago I got stung by a wasp and to this day the minute I see a wasp, out comes the wasp and hornet spray. Hope it heals fast for you. By the pool I have the WHY trap (wasp, hornet, yellow jacket). I use apple juice as the attractant and let me tell you, it attracts EVERYTHING that flys

Walked down to the dollar store because I wanted some freeze dried fruit. It’s so sad that on my way home it started getting dark

Well, in the end, I did bring it in a couple hundred calories lower than yesterday at 1690, and a bit more calories burned at 1533, so reasonably pleased on that note. The idea is just to get better than yesterday, not to get obsessed.

The diuretics are peeling off the water, though, at a couple pounds a day. I was at 166 on Tuesday and 159 today. I knew I was swelly, but didn't know how much was legit weight gain and how much water. Three more days on the booster diuretic, and we'll see where I land on Monday, my official weigh-in. And then see what happens once I've finished it.

Michele - Thank you, I hope the vertigo goes soon, too. It doesn't affect every waking minute, but shows up when I look up, when I spin around and walk a different direction, when I quickly glance left or right and nearly got to the point of nausea when I was trying to do my yoga. Frustrating. Oh - and it shows up every time I lie down in bed. Or turn over. And it showed up two days BEFORE I started the booster diuretic, so I don't think it's the cause. No apparent reason at all. Grf.

Off to bed, my chickens...

Sounds more like allergies than EIA (Exercise Induced Asthma) ... pollen, dust.

I've had to take my allergy pills every day during this whole move thing because of all the dust, and I have to take them when the Christmas decorations start appearing in the stores and everywhere for the same reason.

Some of our physiotherapists here are trained to deal with various vestibular issues ... might that be an option for you?


I was feeling really dizzy yesterday, and it wasn't till I had to lie down in the evening because I was feeling so bad that I realised I had forgotten to take my one and only medication the night before!! Took that, and about an hour later, the world because to steady itself. This morning the screaming in my ears has died off to the usually high-pitched ring.
