With a water heater-heat pump, which is efficient, and the solar panels I have, it'll be free hot water. Hard to beat. As this house has panels I'm trying to use all of the free electricity I can.5 -

It was not raining this morning, but it was cold and kind of misty. I ran 6.2 miles. I saw one skunk, but otherwise it was a pretty uneventful run.

@Teresa502 Your hiked sounded very adventurous. I liked the pictures and can understand why you wouldn’t want to do that route again!
@martaindale 8 states in one year! That’s quite a feat! It must have been fun registering for so many races!

I went on a very easy run this morning. Surprisingly, it snowed last night, so the run was a bit slippery in parts, but not icy. I ran 9.2km.

That's a lot of races @martaindale ! I had thought about trying to do the 50 states, but at my age I decided I wouldn't have time. I guess I would if I did 5 a year!

@chris_in_cal I didn't know you had solar panels. That's great. And, I know people who grew up with natural gas love it, but those of us who didn't....I guess it's like everything else. If you aren't familiar with you, it scares you.

Got up early enough to get my run in before heading out for the day. Since I haven't run for a few days, I decided to take it easy. I walked 0.25 miles for warm up and 0.35 miles for cool down. The middle was a run/walk of 2/2/1 min for 4.5/4.6/4.0, 4.7/4.8/4.0, 4.9/5.0/4.0, then 3 x (5.0/4.0 for 4/1 min) and ended with the last 0.15 miles at 6.0 mph. That averaged out to a 12:36 min/mile pace. Avg HR was 127 with a max of 161 bpm. It wasn't too bad, but was glad I was short on time so I had a good excuse to quit when I did. LOL0
