I'm fat and I wasn't offended or thought you were fat shaming.
You are NOT fat. You may have fat, but you are not fat. I've seen your videos. NOT FAT.0 -

I'm not in bad shape. I ride century rides (100 miles). I mountain bike. I work an unreal number of hours. Stress is a killer though. I'm under a lot of stress a lot and the result is I can't break 190 lbs. Even when I was riding 100 miles a week, I couldn't break 190 lbs. I don't go over 200 but I can't get under 190. If you are under stress, you will retain weight. It's just the way our bodies prep for the fight or flight. I just need to reduce my stress.
MY GOD!
That was me at my old job!
I'd hit 200 and then not break it and when I finally did, my boss would jump on my butt and I'd stress eat and be back at 215 before I knew it! UGH! It was awful.
But you have a new doctor right? Got come days off? Maybe even be able to take a vacation?! I know, what is THAT right? :laugh:0 -
Yup. Stress. I'm an emotional wreck. Nothing new. My weight is steady and even drops at time but it is due to IBS or whatever I have (or don't have according to the gastro but my burning urgent diarrhea and multiple times a day life-halting nausea say otherwise). I eat a mix of healthy and pure shizz foods but my portions are much smaller than they ever were. I'll get ravenous out of the blue but a few bites in, I feel very full. Or I don't eat because I'm nauseous or I do eat and it goes right through me. Exercise. Nope. I was riding my bike a few times a week but starting feeling more tired everytime I'd do it. I know they say exercise gives you energy...and at times it has...but it hit a point where it would tucker me out (not during the ride but later that day, I'd crash earlier and harder or felt the need to even if I couldn't).
Soooo, I'm just kind of in a rut right now. I'm not actively trying to lose weight but it is slowly coming off anyway or at least not gaining...so I'm not real motivated to change anything.0 -

Yes I am and it doesn't hurt my feelings to say otherwise. It isn't an insult. It is true. I'm technically obese. I'm at least forty pounds heavier than what I should be for my height. That is fat. I wear a size 14/16. Plus size. It isn't an "Oh, pity me and tell me I'm not fat.", kind of thing. It is what it is.
I'm actually the most comfortable I've EVER been with my body, even when I was a healthy weight. I don't feel (too) bad about being fat anymore...I certaintly don't (too often) beat myself about it anymore. But at the end of the day...I'm a fat chick...but I'm ok with it because at least I'm a foxy fat chick!
Edit: I'm not shaming non-foxy fat chicks...that is just me being self-confident...a hard-earned quality it has taken years to cultivate!0 -

Definitely the bolded!
I still don't think you're fat. When I was a size 14/16, I was still less than 50% body fat so definitely not fat. Once you hit 50% or higher in body fat percentage, THEN I might call you fat. Because at that point, you are more fat than anything else.

Slow night. So far I've put in 30 minutes on the weights and 90 minutes on the bike. I think 17 miles is enough for tonight.0

I was kinda feel bad for not doing so well but I don't feel so alone. Just reminds me that I'm human and that you guys are awesome0

@hamptontom it gets easier, I think we all have that problem at first.
I just got told today that I am going to be retried to start working sixteen hours a day and six days a week for the next several months as we're short. Nobody here can understand why I'm in a foul mood... Everyone I work with is all about grabbing the bucks, and think I'm messed up because I want to go home rather than make money. Sorry sixty hours a week in more like they do is not my idea of living.
Fortunately my union signed a contract saying they can force me and if I refuse it's disciplinary action.
On the plus side I have the opposite problem some of you do... When I get stressed I forget to eat. Of course that has backfired on a big way...0 -
That is required to work, not retired... Don't know why I can't edit my post0
-
I slept in...took a 3-hr nap, and now I'm going to bed early. I think this semester wore me out just a little...0

Holy smokes! That's a boat load of work! You have my sympathy.
On the plus side, I've got the night off! Live long and prosper my peeps.0 -

I love that I can work OT and not have to work an entire shift. I get to blow this popsicle stand in less than 30 mins.0

I didn't mean it that way, the main reason I was horrified in the dream was that me looking so big meant that all my hard work had not paid off, which I mentioned in a later comment on that status. What do you guys think?
Totes fat shaming, fo' sho'! XD Nah, I think too many people are way too sensitive when it comes to weight and just assume everything is about them. I've dealt with it before in the past and that's partially why I created a separate FB page tracking my entire weight loss thing which reminds me, I haven't updated it in a while. I should start again....0 -
Time for my weekend at work. I see I didn't miss much...everyone ready for Christmas?0
-
I finished my finals and had a more hectic week than I expected, not much down time. I'm hoping to actually slow down a bit next week, but we'll see. As for Christmas, I'm mostly ready. Just got to get a few more things wrapped and shipped off to various nieces and nephews.0

Made the wife upset again. It's pretty easy to do around the holiday time. I get things like candy or cheap toys and put them in the stockings about every other day. The kids love it but the wife thinks I'm undermining her schedule because the kids want the toys and candy rather than get ready for school right away. Most of the time they wouldn't have gotten ready right away anyway. They would have played on the iPad or computer for 30 minutes first. I just gave them something besides the electronics to look at. I think she thinks that makes them like me more than her.0

They should be on break now though, right?0

I'm very tired.
I'm watching SSP's dogs this weekend and unless I am exhausted from walking/hiking/mattress gymnastics, his bed isn't comfy.
So I got almost NO sleep.
Although Gunner and Brody(SSP's dogs) are adorable, Gunner is WAY too easily excited and Brody will NOT STOP LICKING GUNNER!
I never notice any of this when SSP is with me.
I could also blame the cup of coffee I had before shopping with my mom at 7am this morning(Friday) for my inability to sleep well.
I needed to go shopping because I needed new underwear because it kept falling down inside my leggings. I also got a new pink hoodie(yes, it IS as awesome as it sounds) and two new pairs of plain black leggings. All of which are in a size MEDIUM!
I kept holding up underwear like "there's no way my butt has gotten this small" but I just hit 165, so I guess it has. Bonus: I won a gift card at the holiday party so it all ended up costing me only $7. Plus I had a $25 HEB gift card so I was able to pick up some more Muscle Milk Naturals. That chocolate flavor is DELICIOUS!
Also went to the post office and dropped off all my Christmas cards for this year. I tried to get everyone but I ran out of stamps....and then cards...and then it was all just a bust because the holidays are exhausting.
After I expressed my concerns regarding the schedule for next week, Sergeant Young and Sergeant Smith both INSISTED I take a mental health day on Tuesday again, since I was only scheduled 4 hours on Tuesday to make up for the 12 hour shift I'm pulling on Friday(Christmas Day). So I'm using 4 hours of Holiday, that I will be earning RIGHT BACK by working on Christmas for 12 hours.
They really had to twist my arm.
So queue another week of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday off! Also, I don't mind working Christmas because I will get the morning with my family, get some sleep, and I can take Christmas dinner for my lunch while I'm at work.
Also, Star Wars for me on Tuesday.0 -

Define ready? lol I'm only ¼ of the way done with my Xmas shopping. I talked with coworkers and since they all have little ones, I volunteered to work Xmas eve/day and they in turn will work New Years eve/day and I get it off to spend time with my gf.0 -
@lacroyx I use to do the same thing. Very cool of you
@lilaclovebird Star Wars on Tuesday for me too!!!! Me and the hubs need a new mattress. Cha-ching. I have to work Chirstmas eve night but off Friday and the weekend. Plus we'll be without my stepson, he'll be at his momma's. I hope I'm exhausted after this weekend lol!0 -
I've worked Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving every year for 13 years. My family has gotten used to celebrating holidays either before or after the holiday. This year, the vet I just got working for me said he would work a 36 hour shift from Christmas Eve through Christmas day. He is taking New Years Eve off. I questioned his sanity, but when he assured me he wasn't drunk or having a stroke, I said, "Deal!" So this will be the first Christmas that three of my kids will remember having me at home on Christmas day. Actually it might be all four. I'm not sure my oldest was old enough to remember me being home for Christmas.0
