I'm sitting here waiting for someone to find the owner of a dog. It was brought in by the daughters but they can't find the dad who actually owns the dog and the dog has cancer. I hate this part. If he is going to be a dipstick and keep his cell phone on, don't make the dog suffer. He's probably drunk asleep somewhere.

Our computer system goes down all the time..."updates" they call it....I call it negligence, especially when we don't know where our officers are or dispatching is delayed. Our phones don't really have a problem, just our computer system. And when they do "scheduled maintenance" (45 minute downtime has been known to last 3 hours), all the supervisors are suddenly busy doing something else.

At the place I used to work, the IT guy got fired and our computers wouldn't work for nuts for weeks. They finally hired a contractor (I believe) just to look at our systems, and he had them fixed in about 5 minutes.

Funny how 1 thing can make everything run smooth....

I'm so tired of "Updates" causing the computers to go down that I'm looking into web based programs rather than server based programs.

It's annoying as hell. We were in here Friday night (Saturday morning) and at 1220a, all four of our cad stations shut down to restart. I can't wait till we get this new center figured out.

I'm here and SUPER tired...I gotta stop being so nice to people and just put my foot down. I work nights, so either *kitten* gets done early when I get home, or done late and right before I go off to work!

I'm lucky my family is used to me working nights so they try to keep all the noise to parts of the house where it won't wake me up.

@fireguy262 That's frustrating. My partners one screen kept blacking out, he had to restart the entire thing. I'm def readt to leave this weekend behind.

My day off will begin by avoiding my hubby who has some sort of stomach bug. Blech.

I'm out of here. Time to go home, take the daughter to school and then sleep until time to come back to work.

Slept today and just in time for me to wake up, we lost power. Guess someone decided driving in freezing rain was important and took out a power pool a couple miles up the road. Finally made the hubby and I some pancakes at 830pm. That's what he requested and they have stayed down. So success :)

I work tomorrow night with PSO Fernandez. I hope Jeanette calls in again. That would be awesome.

No. SSP is Sergeant/Officer Wiland. Also known as Chad.

Fernandez is our Venezuelan PSO(guard) whom I can not understand. No one actually understands him that well.

Jeanette is 'magic thyroid pill' person, also known as Gerwick.

Side note: I packed a delicious and nutritious lunch for tonight. But there are free tamales in the fridge again and I'm gonna say 'SMURF IT!' and eat those instead.

Ooh...Venuzuelan...lol! Jeanette I remembered, I just didn't remember you calling SSP by name. You probably did, I just didn't file it away anywhere in my brain.

Yes. I did. Lots of them.
This batch isn't hot enough for me though. I like 'em SPICY!
