Yeah, Jen, I should really state a caveat.... I don't mind an hour or two of tropical rain on the beach in the afternoon, lol. But not unending weeks of cold dark rain.0
-
Ha, yeah, that sounds awesome!0
-
@Jennifer_417 you're up late tonight! long time no chat0
-
Grew up just south of there in Seattle. We did everything in the rain. I still don't mind it for most activities. However, my wax doesn't work worth a darn when I XC ski in the rain. I'm looking around tonight at my food supply and don't see any cheese burgers.0

Heya @flapjack747! How ya been?
@sufferlandrian- I always thought Seattle seemed like such a cool place. Did you like it there?0 -
I like the western cities for culture and lifestyle but I don't like the NW Washington/SW BC climate.1
-
@jennifer_417 - I loved it there. I can't afford to live there anymore, but I still like to go back and visit. I really like taking the ferries to wherever for day adventures. Did it the other way around last time. Stayed on the peninsula and took the ferry in to Seattle to goof around.
@canadjineh - I know the clouds can get to people but the summers are phenominal! Depending on where you live, the rain shadow from the mountains can help quite a bit. When I lived on Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, we didn't get much rain. We had Cactus growing just south of us in Ebby landing. Yet just across Puget Sound you could see Everett getting SOAKED all the time. Location, Location, Location.0 -
@canadjineh Happy Anniversary!! I agree, warm rain in alright but cold rain is nasty. It sounds like you had a wonderful time regardless!
@alleehill2 Truth! Cauliflower rice would be alright in a burrito bowl for example...but alone, blech. I love rice and quinoa! I usually stick to a half a cup serving instead of a cup.0 -
True nuff, @sufferlandrian! I do like the Gulf Islands/San Juans. They are in the rain shadow of Vanc. Is. and that helps a lot. Unfortunately I didn't live there. Summers in the Okanagan are infinitely better though.0
-
I love the Okanagan! I used to ride motorcycles over there. Scenery is gorgeous and the roads were a lot of fun. Daylight only though. A lot of deer.2

Exactly..story of my life.
Truth be told, I'm going to miss night shift. However, I have found that I actually kind of like people...and seeing them. If only to complain about them later!2 -
I like people too. As long as they stay on their own shift.2

Cancer cells I just pulled out of a dogs lungs. Really bad for the owners and the dog. He was only three years old and I can't treat this.1 -
That stinks!0

Time to put "Trading Places" on the movie screen to pick my spirits back up.1

Yay my night shift is almost done. I can't to take a hot shower and climb into bed.0

*kitten*, *kitten*, *kitten*! We're short three. Looks like I'll be stuck doing OT. Wish I had slept at some point yesterday.0
-
Lol thats funny. Obviously I didn't write kittens.0
-
@BodyByBex I kinda like people too but I def complain later!0
-
I've said it before, and we all agree on this: F#*K Cancer! *insert middle finger emoji here*0
-
I wish I had a middle finger emoji. Well, at least I'm feeling good enough I may ride my bike to work tonight. It's supposed to be high winds tonight but pleasent in the morning with temps around 38 and winds around 8 mph.0

Mmmmm!!!!!0 -
Ahhhh, but how old is the French Silk pie in the fridge??? You know how dangerous the possibility of well aged anything is in an office fridge don'tcha?
1 -
I spend 7 years as a food inspector. I'm pretty sure it was still good. Three days by the way. Too much sugar in a French Silk Pie to go bad that fast.
I've got one patient I managed to save last night but I'm not entirely sure I did him a favor. It will give the owners time to come to grip with the fact that he is going to die.0 -
