Thanks for the WW advice gals! I did end up joining WW, and to be honest haven't made enough of an effort yet to really do the program. I've been super busy at work and home, but that's just an excuse because if I really wanted to I would take the time to get going with it! I did lose 1.5 according to the WW scale - but went to a different meeting than last week and different clothes. I'm up .6 according to my home scale. Bleh! Anyhow ... I'm taking some time right now to get into their online etools and hopefully get this train going in the right direction! I will check in with you girls from time to time, maybe start checking in daily again, but not until I'm really trying with WW. I signed up for 6 months - so I need to make it work!

Well as of today I am down 20 pounds from New Year's Day when I started my goal to
my vacation which will be April. 1st. It can be done :drinker: even for us older gals.

ISTPAUL: Congratulations on trying WW, I hope you have success. Also try and be
accountable here even if you are on WW. I have been doing South Beach Diet and I have
been logging everyday my calories, I just make a note at the bottom that I am doing
a different plan so not to look at the calorie count because it will be different than MFP
recommends. It will still keep you on track.

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? I didn't track my dinner yesterday.
Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Not sure
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Went for lunch with a friend and did some shopping.
What would I have done differently? Probably tracked my dinner.
What are today's personal goals? Drink water, stay on track until I leave for vacation.
    Then I will enjoy myself.

Mon- Leslie Sasone upper body w/weights 30 min + Biking 15 min
Tues - Leslie Sasone with weights upper and lower body 49 min.
Wed - Leslie Sasone walking 33 mins
Thurs - No exercise - I had a pedicure and just didn't do it.
    Fri - Biking 45 mins.

I didn't do Zumba on Saturday. I didn't do the Zumbathon Saturday afternoon. No walk... no tracking. I'm not sure how I expect things to change if I don't make the change. I need to track... track everything and be accountable. Focus on controlling food/eating this week. Keep portions under control (and this includes the weekend too).

That is my goal for the week. :flowerforyou:

Hi Gals! I am going to check in with you at least once a week, so am setting a spring goal and weekly exercise goals.

Goldk - don't be so hard on yourself, you have had a tough couple of months, just try to concentrate on one or two things that you really want to change this week - maybe tracking and measuring? My goal this week is to get in some activity (like a walk, or stationary bike) on my non-YMCA days.

    March 30-April 5
Did you stay within your nutritional goals? some days yes, some days no
Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? didn't do as well as I hoped with food on our weekend mini-spring break in Wisc. Dells, but I walked a ton ... 17,000 steps on Saturday with doing nothing extra except walking around our hotel to and from the waterparks and othe actvities
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I tried ZIPLINING at the dells. I was uncomfortable trying it because of my weight and age ... and I am VERY, VERY, VERY afraid of heights .... but I DID IT ANYWAY!!!! So that my 13yo would have someone to do it with him. He was pretty scared too, but we both enjoyed it. I would have to say that jumping off the towers was really, really hard for me after the first one. The first one not so much because I was more worried about my son doing it, but on the 2nd jump off I was pretty comical - I would sway forward, then back, then forward, and back ... and finally dragged my one foot as I reluctantly jumped off. But I MADE it, and it was fun!
What would I have done differently? Had more self-control last night.

GW at the end of the Spring check in? 225

    exercise plan for this week:
    Sun. - walking at hotel
    Mon. - step?
Tue. - zumba or body pump?
    Wed. - walk?
    Thu. - step
    Fri. - step
Sat. - step & body pump
