Hi everyone! Sorry to be absent, no problems just a little busy. My son called my husband about 10 last night needing some help as his garage door wouldn't open or close. I went along for the ride and visited with my dil. It was after midnight when Dave (mr. fixit) solved the problem and by the time we got home I was not tired at all. I think it was close to 3 when I finally fell asleep and then Neil called at 7:30 to tell me he fell out of bed, not hurt just thought I would want to know. It is the second day in a row he has fallen out of bed!! Not sure why that is happening but wish he would have waited a while to share! ;~) I didn't feel like getting up so dozed off and on for a few hours which likely made me feel worse. Such is life and if that is my biggest problem today I will have to consider it a pretty fine day!!
We are having wonderful weather. So nice to have a wonderful Fall after such a cold summer.

I will catch up with you all soon. I need to make some banana muffins with some overripe bananas. They don't get eaten as fast with Neil not here. I know my sister has a banana bran muffin recipe and I will try to find it online. She is away on holidays so can't get it from her. Then I am making a stir-fry for dinner with a bit of steak in it. Should be good and quite healthy. I finally found my WW materials and am thinking it is time to find my way back to program.

Take care and keep smiling. Gayla

Hello everyone, good day today a bit of rain in the afternoon but it quickly moved on. Busy day at Tim's today the scrambled egg wrap is selling very well, I think it is a good bite in the morning too.
Day of rest today back at the gym tomorrow. Body was complaintive this morning but I think it will be okay for gym. Got to get my eating under some control though, everyone around me is catching a cold or flu of some sort. My body wanted a ton of sugar today, I know that is the first sign of my body needing extra carbs to boost the immune and energy. Have to be careful to wash my hands often to ward off any virus germs.
Buttons was at the doc's today, she may have a food allergy now. Poor babe, now it is two pills in the morning and night and new food to eat that tastes like mashed paper. Poor mom has to gather her barrings at 4am to get the pills and food for buttons. Woe is me.I should get up at 3:30am and have a couple of coffees first, so at least I will get the right things out of the cupboard. Hopefully I won't put the coffee pot in the cupboard and the food on the stove!:noway:

Hope everyone has a great Thursday, I'll be checking in...luv to all

:drinker: welcome back, Sandy, I think the only things you can count on at the casino is the great and plentiful and tempting food:laugh:

:drinker: Gigi, have a great time in Phoenix...the weather should be good this time of year

:drinker: Gayla, it sounds like a good thing that Neil just wanted to talk to you rather than wanting you to pick him up when there was a problem.

:drinker: Marilyn, sorry to hear about Buttons needing more pills...I hate giving pills to pets

:drinker: our tomatoes and pumpkins are still growing....it gets down to the high 40's overnight but warms up during the day so there is a lot of hope for them

:drinker: today was my day to walk with my friend......she just got back on WW and is hoping to improve her weight loss with more exercise so we walked over six miles.

:drinker: we had a fabulous supper of chicken breasts with peanut sauce and roasted peppers, tomatoes, and zucchini (from a friend's garden)

Trying to catch up with all that I missed while gone. I did not win at the casino but we did have a really good time. I am paying the price for eating and drinking too much, but will get back on track asap. :drinker: :drinker:

That cake is awesome, someone is very creative and talented. Too pretty to eat!!

I will try and catch up with all the posts but for now I have to pay some bills, pick up Bryanna for dance and then off to bingo.

It is a beautiful day here and hope all of you are doing wonderful!!

    Sandy

Welcome back Sandy. Gld you had a good time.

Happy Thursday!! Did not win at bingo, guess my little lucky streak is over.

Have my meeting today which I need to get focused again, then a little shopping and a healthy dinner. :drinker: Making chicken breast with rice and sweet and sour sauce. Hope I find time to either walk with Daisy or do the exercise bike. :blushing:

We are going back to Six Flags Saturday for Frightfest. The older girls love the haunted houses and I am terrified of them. We will go early with Marisa and Marisa and I will leave before dark while the older ones get scared to death.

We have had some beautiful weather here this week, I hope to get my Halloween decorations out tomorrow.

Have a good Thursday. And I guess I am going to have to move my ticker up again, but will leave it a couple of days to see what happens. Groan................this is so hard.

 Hi everyone! I went to work today, I know it is tough working one day a week. I do like my little paycheque at the end of the month! I have to plan my Thanksgiving dinner for Monday. My family will all be here and at least one nephew. The other one is a vegetarian so I need to find out if he is coming so that I can plan a veg. entree. He always seems to appreciate whatever I come up with. It looks like it will be a nice holiday weekend.
Neil had his first 'temper tantrum' at his new home today. He hated everyone and told me he was finished with that house and wanted out by Friday. I told him that wouldn't happen. I talked to the Director and I guess he told them he hated them, how nice for someone else to get the fall-out!! She worked it through with him. It is swimming night and after last time when he had so much trouble getting out of the pool he is scared to do it again. I think he has decided to give it a try and has settled down. Sheesh -- whoever said it would be easy?

Marie -- You are absolutely right about the WW and I know that I have to get back to meetings -- soon!! Good for you losing steadily.

Sandy -- Sorry the winning streak is on an intermission. Try not to fret about your little gain, it is after all only a number. You know how to get it off and you will do it.

Barbie -- You are so busy, hard to imagine that a pound would dare to find it's way onto your body. You, too, know how to get it off and I know you will.

Marilyn -- Do you work at Tim Horton's? That is a very early start to the day. Neil calls me at 7:30 and I whine that it is too early.

Gigi -- On the go again! Have a wonderful extended weekend.

Take care everyone and keep smiling. Gayla

 GAYLA Yes I do work at Tim Hortons, I am up that early to get some coffee into me, plus feed the cats and Buttons, and sometimes Sam comes down to ask me to let him out. He sometimes gets a couple of cookies just to tie him over until breakfast is served by his mom, or he might ask me for some. I sometimes wonder if reading pets minds is an asset or something you might not want to get out in the public ear:laugh: . Anyhoo, I start work at 6am, and it is a job to keep up to. I am running on the seconds between three ovens, and doing other tasks too. I am bushed when I get home. On gym days I take my sweet time and do the exercises at a pace that keeps me moving but not exhausting me.

I'm late for bedtime ladies, so I'll catch you all tomorrow, stay strong and smile.

    to all.. Marilyn

    Hi everyone! Remeber me???

I am fine, sort of. It has been the continuing mess! Day's mom had to go back to the psych hospital for a bit. Behavior issues. My sister left her husband, number 4. Day had a very bad virus infection, flu like. My brother busted his leg again. I still have the job! LOL and it is going well. So far I like it a lot. I feel like an advocate for those that need some assistance. It feels great!

Day and I ran a race together on my b-day. 7,500 runners! It was so much fun! I finished 257th which I thought was good and 12th in my age group. Dayanne finished 19th in her age group (200+ runners) and in the top 1200 overall! I am so proud of her!

I have been training for a 1/2 marathon until last thursday. It appears that my left knee is going to need surgery soon. I have the MRI coming up on Monday, then to the surgeon. I am trying to get in with the group that does the work for the Indianapolis Colts. Or at least a very good sports surgeon. we have several minor league teams here in the area a couple that have done work on triathletes so I have good resources. At this time they do not know if there will be enough left to repair or that an artificial knee will be called for. I am open to either just as long as I can train and compete. I am not done yet! LOL That catches you all up on the happenings here! what a zoo!

I am sure that I have forgotten some things but I will catch you all up later! I will do better on my posting. I did put on 6 pounds intentionally to see if that helped my distance running by giving me more stores to draw from under stress. I am now taking them back off again! LOL At least until I find out more about the knee. Funny thing was though, I think that it really did not make a difference. I thought it would help a little but I was wrong.

I have not caught up on the boards but I will do my best to so!

Sandy good luck good luck good luck good luck good luck! LOL that is what you needed!

Marie thanks for the note kid! But rest assued this old boy is not done yet!

Everyone else have a great Friday! And would someone send me some cake?????

:drinker: :drinker: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Happy Birthday, Jeffrey, glad to hear from you again.

:flowerforyou: Marie, after being gone for 13 days in August and 13 days in September, I am happy to say that we are staying home for a long time.......that should make my goals of working in the yard and eating at home, a lot easier to accomplish

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Sandy, you and I can work together to get rid of those last few pounds that came from riotous living away from home......

:flowerforyou: I readjusted my ticker to reflect the pounds that are still there after my trips....it was time to acknowledge them and stop hoping that they would go away by themselves....I relaxed my super careful eating and now I'm paying for it.

    Happy birthday Jeffrey,

Hello everyone, good day today, it was Friday, no more work tomorrow, and the next and the next. Woot woot a three day weekend! Lots to do and catch up on, but no schedules to run for at 3:30 am . Buttons seems to be doing better, she has been eating well, and is not itching as much. Yea.

Short sleep last night, sort of kept my ears on, while my eyes were closed, until after 2am then everything shut down. Woke up at 3am and I felt like I just got into bed.

Anyhoo, I'm off to get ready for bed, catch up on some sleep, I am yawning my head off now. Have a great day tomorrow everyone and keep strong.

Happy Birthday, Jeffrey!!! With everything that has been going on in your life, I hope you were able to stop and celebrate.

Barbie, I never thought I would see the day when my ticker would have a higher number than yours!!! I know you well enough to know that you will be back to your lower weight in no time. Truth be told, my ticker should say about the same as yours today, if were recording a temporary change. I found some things in my freezer that I combined for lunch yesterday, and the sodium count was about 2600 mg!! YIKES, so I ended up posting a gain :grumble: I ate very clean today, and light as well, since I wanted to enjoy the steak I had planned for dinner, and I did. Even had enough calories for a small baked potato, and I also roasted some asparagus and zucchini, along with sweet onion slices. Everything was yummy!!

Have a good weekend, all. Not sure if I will have time to be on here again until Sunday.

Medicare is great Jake, as long as you have a good supplement. Between what we pay for medicare and the supplement we should own our own hospitals and get the best treatment available.

Frightfest was fun but it was hot and very crowded, thank goodness we get the fast lane passes so the kids don't have to wait very long in line. Marisa (the 5 year old) was determined to stay until closing with the big girls but after the parade when the spooky guys came out she changed her mind. They walk amongst the people and especially like to scare teenagers so they sneak behind them and say something in their ear which scares the you know what out of them. Another time one chased two of our girls as they went screaming down the path.  One got a little to close to Marisa and almost gave her a heart attack so she was ready to go home, after I told her when it gets dark it gets scarier. There was a reason for us to take two cars (we had free parking passes) and I was ready to go so was sort of happy Marisa got scared. She was funny though she kept watching the sun and saying it is going down while we were making our way to the exit, she wanted to be out of there before dark. The older ones stayed with Cheryl to go through the haunted houses which I am terrified of, so they closed the park and had a great time. Chery said it got so crowded the lines were horrific even with the passes so I am really glad Marisa and I went home early.

I of course ate more junk food but I did walk miles and miles. I am getting ready to up my post again, it is a constant battle but at least it is more under control then before joining MFP. I will not let it get out of control again and have all of you to thank for that.

    Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!!

    Happy birthday Jake!

Hello ladies and gents, Hope everyone has had a good weekend, I have worked around the hourse to get chores caught up and do some extra so the next few weeks are a little less to contend with.

My weight is going up, I'm thinking because I have no real food to chow down at work with so when I get home I'm diving into supper with a hungary body. I'll have to do some work on it. I'm up 11 pounds.

    Catch everyone tomorrow,

Thanks to all of you. Friday we went to the cardiologist and I got to use the my medicare card for the first time. I think the insurance from Barb's pension will be happy since it's the first time that they get to be the supplement. My heart has cost them almost a million dollars thus far so I imagine that they'll be glad when I'm gone altogether in January when I get on a whole different plan.

Anyway it's good to know that wherever i go now I qualify for the senior discount.

Barb took me to lunch today at our favorite Tai place, we go maybe once every other month or so and then we spent time working in the yard. I talked to my youngest brother for a couple of hours on the phone. he lives near Cleveland so we don't get to see each other very often, but we try to talk every other week or so. got a chance to talk to my son this morning and he told me the story of his very long night which ended up in the drunk tank because of an incredibly stupid move on his part. He was very concerned about how his wife wo8uld take it when she and their daughter got home from a trip tonight. I of course told him to not by trouble, but kept thinking that he was really screwed and am very grateful that I don't have to live like that anymore.

I suppose that I'll talk to both of my daughters tomorrow. Anyhow thank you all again for your kind messages and happy birthday Jeffery and everybody else that I seem to miss on a regular basis.

    Marie, you're the best.
