Sorry folks, I'm out. I fell off the wagon. I had a "Latino Heat" cupcake for mid-day snack, and I'm going out for dinner: House made blood sausage, fried pig ears, and I'll probably have a pint or two of Elysian Split-Shot Coffee Porter.

    man down!

but isn't he ok because of the Latino Heat cupcake?

and what the heck is a Latino heat cupcake, btw?

Jesus, people ***** about diet food being expensive. How much does this cost? Are you making daily runs or are your freezers huge? Are you eating back exercise calories if you go to the store daily? Please update weights throughout this! Summer is coming and I may need to apply this to Jereimah's Italian Ice.

I think it was a little while ago, but it's one of their stock flavors. They have a locator on their site as to who stocks it as I find that different stores stock different flavors - all a bit randomly.

Aside from being fun to say, it is a chocolate cupcake with Mexican chocolate gooey middle, and a chili frosting.

I do kind of remember reading somewhere that cupcakes boost metabolism. That being said, I think I might be back in:

Since they ran out of the beer I wanted I got dessert: Chocolate brownie with a beet granita sorbet

Day 1: Safeway pumpkin pie ice cream (1/2 c)
Day 2: Edy's slow churned peanut butter cup (1/2 c) chocolate peanut butter Pop Tart ice cream sandwich (see avatar)
Day 3: Queen City Creamery's pistachio ice cream (free with lunch, about 1/2 c eyeballing it, and that's a sample!). If you're ever in Cumberland, MD, you have to visit this place. They have chocolate, vanilla and a flavor of the day. I had their sea salt caramel cashew a few months ago. A single scoop is like 2-3 servings' worth. Insanely delicious!
Day 4: Turkey Hill Dutch chocolate ice cream (1/2 c) and birthday cake Pop Tart ice cream sandwich

Day 1 - Haagen-Dazs Caramelized Banana Chip (10/10). Great flavor & creamy texture. Highly recommend if you like banana!
Day 2 - Ciao Bella Pumpkin Sea Salted Caramel (8/10). Flavor is spot on, but it has a pumpkin puree like texture I didn't care for. However, very macro friendly! 190 cals - 9f/24c/3p per serving
Day 3 - Talenti - Toasted Almond (currently consuming). 230 cals - 10f/27c/7/p per serving. Giving this one a 10/10 (I'm biased towards almonds though). Chopped almonds, brown sugar & maple syrup swirl in a sweet cream base. Good mix of salty & sweet. nom nom nom.

Gelato making my chest veinz pop. Science? I think so...

2nd edit - mother of god! The flavor got more awesome the deeper my spoon got....

If this flavor comes with a half naked man, I'm gettin' it!

It is expensive hahaha... i spent like $60 bucks on Gelato last week for like 10 pints. I just bounce around to a few stores on the weekend and look for unique flavors.

Do you mean post my workout log as well as far as updating weights?

You're right. I apologize... i was in an ice cream induced coma and overlooked "cupcake". I just saw "Latino Heat" and assumed you were ditching out on ice cream or gelato to go dancing or something.

Day 4: 1 cup Edy's Slow Churned French Silk and 1/2 cup Breyer's Samoa flavor- 10/10 would eat whole container if it would fit in my macros. It's 140 calories per serving, with a very creamy mouth feel and large pieces of Girl Scout Samoas.

Man, I had no idea this cleanse would be so mentally taxing. I fell off the wagon yesterday, too.

Day 1: Beryer's Tiramisu Gelato; 1/2 cup; 8/10; strong espresso and cream flavors, needs moar ladyfingers. Would bang again.
Day 2: Ben & Jerry's Hazed and Confused Core; 1 cup; 7/10; really digging the hazelnut flavored ice cream and the hazelnut fudge "core," chocolate ice cream flavor is pretty standard, not a huge fan of fudge chip speed bumps. Enjoyable, but I probably won't buy it again.
Day 3: Went to the new market by the gym to look at their interesting ice cream flavors, but I got side tracked by their hard cider options... 330 calories of delicious hard cider later, I realized there was no way to fit ice cream into my day. Wah wah. But the two days on the cleanse appears to be working; I was down a pound yesterday. I must resolve to get back on track today.

Talenti's sea salt caramel is amazing, but i wouldn't turn away a bowl of Haagen Dazs' sea salt caramel either

As for green tea ice cream, the best i've had were at restaurants & i have no idea what brand it was. The only store brand that i have found is Haagen Dazs. It is good, but IMO tastes mostly like their vanilla with a hint of green tea. i wish it had a stronger green tea flavor. (but I suppose it depends how strong you like the tea flavor to be. I drink a lot of tea and i like it much stronger than other most so I think i will have better luck mixing up my own batch with the leftover Talenti vanilla bean)
I've seen some recipes online detailing how to make your own green tea ice cream (using matcha), but I didn't want to try it without having a commercial basis for comparison. I've seen the Haagen Dazs option once or twice, but I also saw a pint of it in a brand I've never seen before at a new "health food" store here in town. I might be having to pick that up for my cleanse.

In the interest of continuing to contribute to this thread instead of derailing off into green tea dreams, I have plans to make "Sea Salt Ice cream" in the future, as well. It's typically made into bars due to its portrayal in the Kingdom Hearts game.

Aaaanyway... has anyone else tried this?

^ i never heard of it, but i found a recipe online on cooks.com for sea salt ice cream. it has great reviews so i'm definitely intrigued now....I think there is an ice cream maker squirreled away in the basement somewhere. If I can find it i will try this

as for making my own green tea ice cream, i'm just going to add the amount i normally use for iced matcha drinks to one serving of gelato & see what happens :)

The only problem with this cleanse, is that approach is not sustainable in the long run. I mean, what is going to happen after 30 days and you go back to not eating ice cream? You should really be doing something that is a lifestyle change, not just 30 days. So I think you would have to continue eating the ice cream forever.

    agree
