    Also...

Does anybody else buy Talenti so they can re-use the containers?

I so have done this. The contents were pretty amazing also.

Day 1: Slow Churned Vanilla+Two chocolate chip cookies (I know I know, slow churned ice cream?! I'll improve the quality soon, but I gotta finish what I got first. )
Day 2: Store didn't have what I wanted, so it looks like I'm going with Talenti, Tahitian Vanilla Bean+Slow churned Vanilla+2 chocolate chip cookies
Day 3: Peanut Butter Fudge Milkshake, from cookout.

Day 4: 3 chocolate chip cookies+ HD stracciatella gelato. Normally I wouldn't eat these things together but it was a weird day, hunger wise.

Day 5: 1 serving of this. Didn't do my run, so alas my calories are probably going to be too limited for a second serving.
The struggle is real. (limited calories=1800 or so, btw)

Day 6: Tahitian Vanilla again. Nomnom. Gotta finish some of these so I can buy more flavors.

I give up, I'm a damn spaz. I've been gone to long.

Well at least you have your gelato.
    Why yes, yes I do.

    Oooooooh those are excellent choices.

Honesty time-- is the peanut butter core worth the calories? That's a good chunk of my calories if I get some, so I need to know if it's going to be worth it.

Day 1 - Haagen-Dazs Caramelized Banana Chip (10/10). Great flavor & creamy texture. Highly recommend if you like banana!
Day 2 - Ciao Bella Pumpkin Sea Salted Caramel (8/10). Flavor is spot on, but it has a pumpkin puree like texture I didn't care for. However, very macro friendly! 190 cals - 9f/24c/3p per serving
Day 3 - Talenti - Toasted Almond (currently consuming). 230 cals - 10f/27c/7/p per serving. Giving this one a 10/10 (I'm biased towards almonds though). Chopped almonds, brown sugar & maple syrup swirl in a sweet cream base. Good mix of salty & sweet. nom nom nom.
Day4 - Three Twins Butterscotch Pecan - Currently Eating, will edit after consumed. Heavier macros on this one... 230 cals - 15f, 21c/3p. Flavor is really good on this one. Another mix of sweet and salt. However, the texture kinda sucked.... I was expecting it to be much creamier considering the 15g fat per serving. I guess the majority of the fat came from the chopped pecans though. I personally wouldn't waste 60g fat on a whole pint again moving forward. 7.5/10
Day 5 - Maple's Organics Cardamom Ginger - Great macros on this one... 150 cals - 9f/17c/3p. I had my hesitations about this one, but damn... 10/10! Very refreshing flavor, texture was very creamy! Cant beat that, good macros & good flavor. Highly recommend this one! **Just got to near the bottom and there was a huge candied ginger piece, motherofpearl it was yummy!

Day 6 - Talenti - Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip - 230 cals - 13/f/25c/4p. Really nice flavor, very creamy. Tastes just like a Dark Chocolate Raspberry candy bar. Raspberry Gelato with Dark chocolate shavings which provide a nice crunch, but melt in your mouth since they're so thin. I would give it a 9.5/10, but this is because I still can't get that damn cardamom ginger out of my mind.

Nope, it wasn't worth the calories. I really did not like the core very much. The only thing that saved the ice cream was the tiny PB cups.
So far on the core series.
Karamel Sutra>>> Salted Caramel>>>> Peanut Butter Fudge.
I keep hearing great things about That's My Jam. But I'm not a big fan of Raspberry. However I will end up trying it.

Thanks, good to know. I really like the Karmel Sutra too, and it generally fits my calories fairly easily.

Uh, yes. This fits perfectly because I am on such an ice cream kick right now (when normally I don't have much of a sweet tooth).

Day 1: Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter Fudge Core

    LOVE that stuff!

Day 1: Safeway pumpkin pie ice cream (1/2 c)
Day 2: Edy's slow churned peanut butter cup (1/2 c) chocolate peanut butter Pop Tart ice cream sandwich (see avatar)
Day 3: Queen City Creamery's pistachio ice cream (free with lunch, about 1/2 c eyeballing it, and that's a sample!). If you're ever in Cumberland, MD, you have to visit this place. They have chocolate, vanilla and a flavor of the day. I had their sea salt caramel cashew a few months ago. A single scoop is like 2-3 servings' worth. Insanely delicious!
Day 4: Turkey Hill Dutch chocolate ice cream (1/2 c) and birthday cake Pop Tart ice cream sandwich
Day 5: I haven't decided yet, but probably frozen yogurt from yogiberry, since I'm going out with my bff for her birthday.

Change in plans. I went to Balducci's tonight. Their ice cream selection made my head spin. I almost slipped in my own drool! Not srs. But almost. They had a nice Jeni's selection, but still no sweet potato. I did see that Maple's cardamom ginger flavor. I think that's where I'm going to buy my ice cream from now on. They had a coffee and donuts, and Mexican chili chocolate I want to get. This is what I had. Would definitely get this gelato again, maybe espresso flavor next. 160 cals, 2.5g fat, 19g carbs, 15g protein.

Hit calories and macro goals every day. Weigh out 1 or 2 servings of ice cream and enjoy it guilt free as part of a healthy and balanced diet.

Because I don't eat ALL the ice cream (at once)?

    maintain a calorie deficit …

you gained ten pounds because you were in a calorie surplus, not because you ate ice cream.

I am in a cut right now and have been eaten ice cream almost every night and am down about three pounds in three weeks….

    Sour patch kids? Where?

I bite hands over sour patch kids, so you should just hand them over nice and easy.

as long as you are eating at a deficit you will not gain weight.

While I am not trying to lose weight and am not eating at a deficit, i am maintaining my current weight (and have been successful at it for quite some time) while enjoying all sorts of delicious treats like ice cream, gelato, donuts, cupcakes, cookies, muffins etc;....

I am meticulous about weighing my foods & keeping an accurate log of everything I eat. I make sure that i hit my macros & stay under (or right at) my daily goal. trust me, it works.

Day 1: Breyer's Tiramisu Gelato; 1/2 cup; 8/10; strong espresso and cream flavors, needs moar ladyfingers. Would bang again.
Day 2: Ben & Jerry's Hazed and Confused Core; 1 cup; 7/10; really digging the hazelnut flavored ice cream and the hazelnut fudge "core," chocolate ice cream flavor is pretty standard, not a huge fan of fudge chip speed bumps. Enjoyable, but I probably won't buy it again.
Day 3: Went to the new market by the gym to look at their interesting ice cream flavors, but I got side tracked by their hard cider options... 330 calories of delicious hard cider later, I realized there was no way to fit ice cream into my day. Wah wah. But the two days on the cleanse appears to be working; I was down a pound yesterday. I must resolve to get back on track today.
Day 4: Breyer's Tiramisu Gelato; 1 cup. Pretty sure that Iliftheavyacrylic is correct; whoever approved the "servings per container" or the serving weight must be dead behind the eyes.
Day 5: It happened again. Went to the new market to look at ice creams; got distracted by cider. On the plus side, I'm trying some really interesting artisanal ciders.

Has anyone tried Talenti's German Chocolate Cake gelato? I saw it in the freezer before the cider dragged me away.

Looking to try your picks for days one, three and five, already have the Talenti Black Raspberry in the freezer for tmrw night so I'm glad you gave it such a glowing review and I didn't waste $4.

Tonight's Stop & Shop / Giant brand Banana Fudge Chunk was quite good...I'm not one to eat a large quantity of ice cream in one sitting, but I grabbed the pint and a spoon and I actually had to consciously stop myself from eating the whole thing, probably ended up with 1-1.5 servings. Indistinguishable from B&J Chunky Monkey, IMO. Good banana flavor, lots of yummy fudge chunks and adequate walnuts (I would have preferred more, but I always want more nuts) I buy the pricier brands only when they are on sale, but this store brand would make it into my freezer again if I couldn't find a favorite on the cheap.

German Chocolate Cake is FREAKIN AWESOME! It's a chocolate gelato with tiny coconut flakes, candied pecan pieces, and a caramel swirl. Must buy, as it's a limited edition. 10/10
