A friend at work today said that she could really tell today that I'd been losing weight. Asked what I was doing and said that I was her inspiration to get going again on a new plan for herself. I've only lost 24 lbs and still have a long way to go but yay! That really made my day!2

My colleague came back from a 9 day break today and told me my butt has shrunk2

Stopped by the primary school my children attended. I said hello and started talking to the secretary, she had no idea who I was, after a bit of explaining, she commented I am half the size I used to be. Then I told her about MFP, I think we have a new recruit.3

I wrote about my struggles with Scopophobia a couple of weeks ago. I have now walked around my neighborhood for 8 days in a row, and this morning I didn't have to psych myself up at all, I just got up, got ready and went. I didn't realize it until I got home. So happy.

Feeling super blah today but still managed some reps, part of a video and 5 mins. on the elliptical. In the past I would have just sat down and binge watched something... Still might, but at least I moved today!2

Keep moving! You'll feel better about yourself and get in better shape at the same time!!

I agree. Thanks for that.

For the last 7 (8? 9?) years, I have had a casual knock-around uniform of ugly men's cargo shorts and short-sleeve v-neck t-shirts. (In cooler weather, substitute Capris or corduroys and long sleeves...)
Over the years, I've bought the shorts in 3 progressively larger sizes, and I am sure that, if I had not started my journey to get healthier, this spring I would have needed a larger size yet.
Well, this morning, when it came time to walk the dog, I put on the last pair of them I have: Pretty much brand-new, they were the smallest pair of the smallest size I bought.
When I am done with the day, they will go in the wash - and then to charity.
My warm weather uniform is no more; the Capri pants are not far behind.
Until I start looking in bins in my basement, I have no idea what I am going to wear.

Fitting into size 6 jeans (although they are a slightly stretchier fabric, I'll take it!)
And squatting 145 pounds this morning, for 3 sets of 5. And not feeling like my legs were spaghetti after. (I don't know my 1RM, but I'm excited to see my working numbers nearing my current weight)2 -

You are awesome! I love a mental health win. So so happy for you0 -
I have seen a lot of people say on here that they do their in between shopping at thrift stores. Well, I got a second job yesterday (yay!) and need some more professional clothes so I went to Goodwill. Almost everything I bought was a medium! I bought two size 8 bottoms and one size 10 (I'm in between sizes)! I love this feeling!
Also, does anyone else find it awkward when talking about getting too small for clothes? I never know how to phrase it. I always say that I'm outgrowing my clothes even though it's technically the exact opposite.1 -

I'm outshrinking my clothes? Great job on the new job and clothes!1 -
I think my jeans aren't as tight. They don't look so much like leggings anymore... they are the cheapest Kmart jeans ever, but am pretty sure they don't just suddenly give way and stretch all over like that.1

Three years ago when I started this weight loss journey I bought myself a pair of very expensive, very pretty, french panties in what I thought should be my goal size, a large. Today on a whim I pulled them out of my drawer and am wearing them!!!!!!
I am no longer thinking this should be my goal size but I feel so good being able to finally wear them. I will be ordering new goal panties soon.4 -
Not grunting or needing momentum when I pick up my 35lb almost 3 year old.2

Good for you! I'm supposed to go to this weight today, but decided to stick with 140 for another workout because it was NOT easy the last time. Seeing those numbers increase is such a great boost!0 -

Went to the lady doc today for my yearly check up. My nurse that checks me in was SO excited about my numbers. Asked me how I did it and it was nice to talk about MFP and running. I talked to her about a boxing club I'm thinking of joining and she said she was going to go check it out.
