I'm with kcurtis. How do teenagers have
a high rate of pregnancy? I mean i'm sure
they don't even know the science behind it
all.
Younger eggs, more CM, and younger sperm.0 -
Not to mention, they're not married, not out of school, usually can't support themselves and NOT trying! **End rant**
Oh right! I forgot, it's totally the NOT trying that does it every time. But good luck not trying after you've started trying. :laugh:0 -
LOL - everyone tells me just to stop trying and it will happen. How do you do that? LOL Isn't that just lying to yourself? I'm not trying but secretly am....LOL
:TMI: On another note, I'm not sure whether or not to log my oatmeal breakfast. About an hour after I ate it (and about 20 minutes after taking the Metformin, it came back up (thank goodness we were just getting out of the car). I typically wait a half hour after eating to take my Metformin (so that my tummy is in the middle of digesting....tend to get less nauseated). What do you think? I had to eat something else so I could take my Met (vending machine was the only thing open :noway: so Chocolate bar had to do). Bonus is that it was carb/sugar heavy and I didn't get sick afterwards. Another good thing to note is that after I threw up, no more nausea.....not sure if the Met had any affect or if it was involved in the action.0 -
Yeah, I probably wouldn't count that as food...0
-
Thanks for the concerns... I'm going to wait, but you better believe I will be in there Jan.2 if nothing happens!
Pam: Sorry that the meds are doing that. I wouldn't count it either...0 -
Hey everyone...loving the posts in this group. I am pretty sure tis is the group I am looking for! My husband and Ihve been trying to conceive for almost a year with no luck yet. Getting frustrated as each month passes with a BFN. We are currently on day 10 of this cycle and abot ready to start "trying" again. Hoping that this will be our month!
Baby dust! Fingers crossed and prayers flying!0 -
Afternoon Ladies!
Hope everyone is having a great day! Awesome to see another new person! (recognized you from the other board glad to see you've come over here!) Terrible day at work thus far...boss is laying down the pressure hard core...I have a little montra i am saying to myself "just 2 1/2 more weeks....Just 2 1/2 more weeks..." it's not really working anymore!
Had an awesome healthy breakfast today! Eggwhite omlet with spinach, mushrooms and cheese! YUM! The kiddo loved it too! Hubby comes home in 10days...that is 11 days too long!
Trying to be good but pretty much back to feeling completely unmotivated...hopefully I'll get some stuff done around the house tonight otherwise it will be a whirlwind weekend of scrubbing for this lady!0 -
Hey all!
I had a decent day, but still went way over on my calories again... I hate that. But whatever - I ate pretty healthy (I got in so much fiber!)
OPKs - how many days after your period do you ladies start testing? I missed it last month, and don't want to miss it again this month!
Also - made a commitment with a friend to go to the gym 4 days next week together! Yay!0 -
jalara- I don't know the answer to this question but I would love to hear what people have to say!0
-
Jalara, were you testing twice a day? If not, that might be why you missed it. That's why I missed mine... I usually start around CD 10 or 11 (depending on what my temps are doing because I have enough cycles to compare and see a pattern and I typically O CD 13-15). However with my handy dandy new fertility monitor, I get to start testing tomorrow on CD 6.0
-
Good morning all!
EricaRoo - normally the same time every day. It's really awkward to test at work... if I need to, tips are appreciated! I get breaks at 10, 12 and 3 for work. I normally test at home between 5 and 6 pm.
Do you ladies notice that Angela started a post-partum group too I'm so glad! Now we have all 3 stages covered!
It's pouring rain here today, and temp is 15! It was -5 yesterday morning. My poor hair doesn't know what to do!!
Happy Friday0 -
Yeah, they say the best time of day to test is 2 pm. I'm so not testing at work... so I understand. I suppose if you were willing to test at work, you could test at 10 and then when you get home. That would pretty well cover it. I've only gotten a +opk once, though and that was at 7 pm, so I suppose it will just depend on what your body is doing.0

Happy Friday Ladies!
I am sooo ready for the weekend.
Still no sign of AF so i still have that
glimmer of hope. Just praying. it's
so hard to be patient sometimes.
I've been exercising really well
even though i've been quite fatigued
this week but my eating is still not
quite as good as I would like for it to be.
My co-workers still have Halloween
candy out. Bleh! I can't avoid the
chocolate so i'm trying to limit
myself to one piece a day.
Have a GREAT day!0 -
Jalara - I started testing on CD 11 but didn't get a until CD16. i tested twice a day (between 11am-12pm and then again between 5pm-6pm) and yes, I tested at work, but we have private bathrooms, not just stalls. I think i would be a little more uncomfortable in a stall...but you only have to wait 3-4min so i would just play on my phone while i waited  I'll get back to testing again next friday/saturday.
It's friday...and i'm up another pound :grumble: ...I'm not logging it since AF is still here. I'm going to try to be really good this weekend and hopefully monday i will be back to normal and back on track! I'm really mad bc I forgot my breakfast bc my son was SUCH a pill all morning so i walked right out the door w/o eating (he was so insane this morning he was lucky that HE got to eat lol) when i got to work someone brought in donuts....and i read it's better to eat SOMETHING first thing in the morning (even a sugary delcious donut...) than nothing at all..
Pmaria - thinking good thoughts for you! **BABYDUST**0 -
PMaria - I'm feeling hopeful for you!!!!! What CD are you on?0
-
Well I was so excited today because it is the first time I have been in the 130s since DH's birthday cruise in February...stupid cruise and the unlimited soft serve ice cream. That is my weekness. I at it at least 3 times a day!
The scale finally started moving this week. I think it is because I have increased my water intake and I have really been good about going to the gym. I just finished my book which I think kept me on the elliptical machine longer. I am going to have to find a new book b/c staying on that machine with just music could get really boring really quickly.
On the TTC side, I am one cycle day 47. This is the cycle where there was no medicine involved. Yesterday they made me go in and do a blood pregnancy test before they would give me the Provera. I should have the results today and maybe I want need the Provera If not it is okay. I have finally decided that this is going to happen when God is ready for it to happen! They also ran a test to get the quality and quanity of my eggs. That test takes 2 weeks to get the results but it will give us a really good insight to what is going on.
Well I am off to the gym. Wishing everyone a great and healthy weekend!0 -
Jalara: I am on cycle day 29
I'm really praying!0 -
Jalara: I am on cycle day 29
I'm really praying!
Me too! For you ofcourse!
How many days do you normally have?0 -
CD29 on a 28 day cycle? When are you going to test? I love that we all kind of cycle differently (except you me & Erica seemed to be cycling together) so it seems like once a week it's someone's week to test or get AF...getting SO close to when i get to be apart of the "Trying" crowd! I think after looking at things we're going to wait until after my December AF (i should get it the day after Christmas) and then throw away all the "raincoats" ...with Hub's deployment schedule we don't want to risk it and after Christmas my due dates would be 10/03/11 or 10/30/11 (depending on if we get it on the first or second try) so either one would work with his deploy schedule! But before Christmas would put us at 9/6/11 and rumor has it that they aren't scheduled to come home until MID-september.0

LOL, Alisa... my cycle changes around so much, we might not be together for long. I range from 26-31 day cycles.
pmaria, you didn't do anything to determine O this cycle, right? I would wait a few more days, just in case your O date changed a bit from last cycle. You definitely don't want to get a false negative.0 -
True - Up until this month i assumed i'd be 28 days...and ended up at 27 days...we shall see what next month brings! I also wonder, you know how they say that if you hang out with the same women too much you'll end up cycling together...i wonder if that happens in cyber space :laugh:0
-
Jalara: Thank you for your prayers!
Alisa: I tested a little too early on Monday
My cycle on average is 29-30 days so I'll
probably wait until next week to test again.
I'm wondering the same thing about us
cycling together haha.
Ericaroo: No i didn't do anything to determine
'O' this month so i'm really hoping that it happened
just by chance.0 -
I've been hanging with the same group of ladies on baby center for about 7 months and we only sometimes have the same cycle... so I think that's a no. :laugh:0
-
pmaria - I think you should test! If it's negative, then it's negative. If it's a positive then you'll know sooner! If you're already due for AF... if it's negative you can keep testing until it's a + or AF shows.

If it's negative, then you've basically thrown money down the toilet and if it's a false negative then you still have to deal with the disappointment and not knowing for sure. But it's entirely up to the individual person. After three months of that, I got tired of the heartbreak and waste, which is why I would wait until next week.0
-
Hello, I joined this group when it first started up but then dh was really undecided, LOL! Well last night he told me that he is ready to try again. I have an appt on December 1st to have my IUD removed. I can go in next week if I decide to have it removed but we really want a fall baby. I tend to get pregnant very easy but our youngest is 6 so we will see and this time I am 35 years old. We have a 15 year old son, a 10 year old daughter and a 6 year old daughter.0

And I get yours, too. You're still new to this and it's exciting.0

Jalara: I think i'll test again on Monday
if AF doesn't show ever the weekend
cause that's when DH will be bk. I would
hate to know over the weekend and not
be able to tell him in person so that's my
only reason for waiting.BTW where do you
order your tests from if you don't mind me
asking?? Do they mail them discretely? Cause
i live in a small community and I know our
mail distributor hehe0
