It sure has!!! I started my 3rd this week, too. I can't believe there is only 12 more weeks! I need to get into my house and get things settled before she comes! The way it looks right now it will be Feb. before we're in...grr!
We haven't decided on a name yet either. We both made lists, and then compiled our favorites. We had it narrowed down to 3 or so, but then never decided. We just haven't talked about it much anymore except to say that we need to decide. The only name that was on both of our lists was Isabella. I looked up that name and found it has been (Isabella and/or Isabel) the number 1 name for like 4 years in a row. We don't want something that every other girl in school has, ya know? So we searched some more and found Arabella. It's different (although she'd probably still end up being called Bella, which I know is common right now...but our reasons have nothing to do with Twilight! ) Arabella means Answered Prayer. Which is exactly what she is. I like the name and that's all I call her in my head, but don't know if it's THE ONE. There hasn't been anything else that I've liked as much as that one though. It's different, so I'm curious to hear what yall think. I know this is a safe place to share the name because even if you all decide you like it and use it, it's not like our children will ever be in the same class, lol. My SIL and good friend are both pregnant, and didn't want them to use it just in case, haha.0 -
I like the OB office I chose because there are 4 OBs practicing there and you see all of them at least twice (and probably more) throughout your pregnancy. This way, you're guaranteed to know who delivers your baby. My husband loves that all the docs (OBs and gyns) in the practice are women.
I just recently found out my mom was induced, at her request, nearly 2 weeks early with me because her OB was going on vacation. :indifferent:0 -

I think the name Arabella is beautiful. We have two girls names we like Harper and Elise. But our boys names we have a short list of 5... and we each have a favorite and can't give in! uhg.0 -

So, I pushed myself and did a yoga dvd for pregnancy. It was moderate which was good, and now I feel much better.
Only once did I regret working out. Good job!0 -

I love that, it is adorable.... we have been referring to the baby by her name for several months now. Everyone we know calls her by her name lol. Answered prayer is so perfect, my oldest Matthew means gift from god which after our first miscarriage that is exactly what he was, our gift! I have not really met anyone named Arabella so it is a little uncommon, I had not met anyone named Brooklynn but ofcourse I see them everywhere now. I think you just notice it when you have the same idea0 -
I like the name Arabella and it's meaning is also beautiful.
I think we have a name chosen for our son. However, it has changed in the last two weeks. Never quite sure until they are here anyway. Our two year old is named after his great grandfather (who has passed on) and my brother so his first name is Charles. But we call him Brooks (which is his middle name and different). My brother has always gone by his middle name too. My husband and I figured if down the road he doesn't like to be called by his uncommon middle name he can go traditional and use his first name. That is what we plan on doing with this little guy as well.
On a fitness note, I just finished walking 6 miles for the day and burned 736 calories. I didn't walk Tuesday or yesterday so it was nice to get something in.
It has been quite a busy week. We did go ahead and proceed with phase I of my daughter's orthodontic's treatment. So on Tuesday she had her palate spreader/splitter put in and now has 8 braces along her bottom teeth. So far so good! I am hoping she won't have to have any teeth pulled like I did. I had the palate splitter (twice) and also had 11 teeth pulled (one of which came out with the splitter when they were removing it ~ ouch). So needless to say, I was very nervous and said a prayer on the way to get her from school to take her to her appointment. I was praying that we were doing the right thing getting her started with orthodontics this early. Then on my radio (my spa and relaxation channel) on came a song that was titled "perfect alignment." And I thought "wow, her teeth will hopefully be perfectly aligned at the end of this." Yes, kind of a far fetch I know. But . . . then the best sign of all happened when I was walking her into the office (15 minutes post prayer) and my daughter said "mom look" and was pointing behind us. There was our pastor and his daughter (one of my 6 year old's friends) getting out of their car. They followed us into the office and he too was getting his daughter started with the same process. I had to call the pastor and his wife (also our friends) to share how comforting it was when I saw his daughter and him at the office. Definitely a sign to me.
Okay I went on a little longer than expected there. Sorry.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!0 -
My husband and I can't agree on a girl name either. With a boy name we are lucky- before we even started trying he blurted out a name he liked one day out of the blue, and I was like... yeah! That's a good name. Our boy name is Easton Eric, Eric named after his grandfather.
But, the funny thing is that we still discuss other boy names, and none of them we have agreed on! Urgh!
Girl names are even worse. For me- my little girl is Avery. Avery Elizabeth. I think of the name Avery and I see my little girl. But hubby does not like the name at all. I am not going down without a fight on this one!0 -
My husband and I have decided on a boy name and a girl name that we both love. I'd love to share them with you girls, but we have decided to surprise everyone when the baby comes. Since I have friends and family on MFP who would see this post, I can't. Mostly we have decided to keep it a surprise because there are so many opinions out there that I don't care to hear, but I'd also like to keep something a surprise for friends and family since there is no way I can hold off on finding out the sex. I can't wait until February 4th!!0

Our names are: Jack and Sofia. Can't wait for this morning sickness to pass! I want my energy back and a clean house again!0

Deciding on a name was pretty much the easiest thing we have done. The boy name we had picked out since 2002. One day our senior year of high school we were joking around about names, and I said I liked Ethan, and he was like yeah...I really like that name too. Our girl name was pretty random too. One night we were getting ready for bed, and I told my husband we should really try to come up with some girl names, just incase this baby was a girl. He said he had heard the name Riley and really liked it. I liked it too, so we were all set.0

OB appt went great today. She went ahead and checked my cervix b/c she thinks I've been having contractions. Everything was fine.
My Second 1 hour GGT test was fine, my iron levels were fine, everything else was fine, no blood pressure issues either.
Best of all watching what I eat over the last 4 weeks and walking has paid off only a 2 lb gain. Instead of teh 5-6 I've been gaining.
I've now moved to seeing her every 2 weeks. Woo hoo. Time flies. I really need a name now. I went to the baby store to look at beds I think I may have found one, I have to look at reviews on line first.0 -
We have decided if it's a boy the name will be Lincoln. (My husband loves this name, it took a bit for me to get warmed up to), and if a girl, Edan. We chose that spelling because my great grandma (who was amazing) name was Edna. Well obviously Edna is old-school so we just changed the order of the letters.0

I love Addison and Ethan, second favs are Reagan and Mason. Ethan and Mason were both on my boys list, there was no girls list since we were set, lol!0 -
Amanda, Riley is one of my husbands top picks for girls' names too. I was trying to remember what name it was today he liked so much, I couldn't remember for the life of me and you just reminded me! lol
AnneElise, My favorite for a girl is Elise (although I really like all 4 of those...good names! ) and Ethan for a boy.
My favorite, favorite, favorite is Ava Kate (Kate from Kathleen which is his gmas name), but DH refuses. :grumble: It was the first one he marked off the list :sad:0 -

I love Eden, too...however DH didn't like that one either....lol it's so hard to find one we both like apparently.0 -
One of my very best friends from highschool announced she's 8 weeks pregnant. I'm kind of excited since absolutely none of my current friends seem interested in babies. Too bad we live 100 miles apart.
Dh and i have downloaded a baby name app on our phones. The agreement is after we find out the sex, we'll both go through all the names listed for that sex and save our favs and then compare our lists.
My belly feels huge tonight. I noticed today either the sweater i was wearing was extremely unflattering or i'm starting to show a little.:laugh:0 -
Hey guys! Well this thread was so long, I didn't read all the pages. But I would like to join your group! My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since November of 2008 when we got married. So far no luck. I believe it might partly have to do with my weight. I think it will be nice to be able to be a part of this group and see other people talking about pregnancy.
I'm going to go back and read some threads, see what I need to post about myself! GL!!0 -
Welcome JAllen32!
The ladies here are very supportive and I really like this thread. :happy:0 -
Hello all,
I have just read through this thread and you guys sound so lovely and it has been lovely reading as your pregnancies have developed.
DP and I will not be TTCing until June as we are saving and paying off loans so that I can be a SAHM (I want to be home with my baby girl) and go back to study. I am going to be a midwife.
I have a DD who is 19 months old in two days. She keeps me very busy and I cant wait to have another child in the house and I cant wait to get pregnant.
Apart from saving (for a baby) and paying money off debts we now also have to replace my partners car (we were in an accident 3 days ago), move houses, and I plan to lose the last 6.4Kg before we start TTCing in June! LOTS TO DO
I will jump on the name bandwagon When I said DD name outloud (Ava-leigh Grace) for the first time we just knew that would be the name. The same can be said for the names we have picked out for our future children (we are always open to the name changing after the birth though because who knows if it is going to suit)
Our new names are Girl = Lorelei Dempsey and Boy = Atticus James - please done throw things LOL0 -
Im sooo excited that I found this group. I have PCOS and I wanted to slim down a little bit prior to being put on meds so we could start trying.
Does anyone have any great tips that they could share?0 -
Thanks for the welcome!
So, I'm 32, been married for 2 years now. I have a 14 year old daughter, and can't wait to have another one. Unfortunately is just isn't happening. I went off of birth control when we got married, and started charting a month later. Seems to me I'm ovulating regularly, and everything appears to be fine on my end. Except I am over weight so I'm sure that has a little to do with it. My hubby has a low count, so it looks like we are going to need some help getting there.
Anyway, so thats me. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!0 -

Iam to the 2 week visits too. I can't believe how fast time has gone. My glucose was high on the 1 hour test--and I am supposed to do the 3 hour one, but I think I will just do the diet instead. I know what to do since I had GD last time. I am feeling quite hungry all the time though. That is hard, but my sugars are good when I am eating right. I had the realization last night that I need to start getting ready. SEt up the crib, buy a carseat, get diapers, bottles, etc, etc...I will Breastfeed, but it is nice to have back ups for if I need to pump...I just can't believe that I have 10 weeks left!0 -
Just wanted to share that Target is having a huge baby clearence in store, but not online. I went in last night and couldn't believe the deals. Ours had stuff scattered everywhere, so you had to really go up and down each isle to find all the deals. I got baby shoes for $2.50, originally $15.99, a few outfits for $2 each, and the swing we registered for. The swing was $40 off, and I had a $50 gift card, so I only paid $30 for the swing!! I guess this is nation wide, as they are making room for their new spring stuff. I saw a bunch of cribs, baby gates, bottles, bibs, and bedding sets on clearence too.
We also taped the room last night, and are painting it over the weekend. Then we get to set up the crib!! This is starting to get very real.0 -

I was 33 when I talked to my doctor. I gave up trying when I hit my 34th bday a month later, then 3 weeks later we were pregnant. She said at 33 once I'd tried for 6 months with no success I should get in touch with her. When y ou are younger they say a year or 2. She said the chances of conceiving after 35 drop. Not that it doesn't happen. But i wouldn't wait too long.0 -
Welcome new ladies! Looking forward to getting to know you!
I ordered baby bedding off ebay last week. Brand new the set is 450 dollars and I got it for 40$ for everything! (its used). I got it yesterday in the mail and I LOVE it. I am very excited about my purchase. Its going to be packed away for a bit because we arn't ready to set up the room yet but its still fun to have!
Got a flat yesterday :C I seem to attract nails. They couldn't patch it so new tire. Boo.0 -

Lorelei is one of the first girl names I decided I can stand. I don't think my hubby is very fond of it though. :ohwell:
And I have a friend who named her 2nd son Atticus. She calls him Ace.0 -

FUN! None of my friends are at the stage either. My siblings are all having kids right now so thats fun at least.0
