Nuts are a wonderful substitute! Crushed walnuts, pine nuts would work beautifully! If you simply must use bread, Sisson recommends rye bread

Really? A lot of times I'll mix some with garlic salt and coat pork chops with it, fry 'em up and my kids devour them.

Ash-I get it at Trader Joe's. You can also make your own if you have a good food processor.

Not sure about the 'Roo Carol!! I'll substitute with pork loin (also dense protein!) But yummy recipe

Well, day two of Paleo - I did have some white potato in my spinach casserole - more for my husband and children...

So how is everyone's morning? I am training for a 10k (huge for me!) and was wondering if you all had any tips. I'm quite nervous!

Our local grocery store (HEB) carries Bob's Red Mill almond flour. I store it in the freezer. Tried making my own with the food processor, but it turned to almond butter almost immediately. :grumble:

No tips (I'm working on the C25K program myself), but good luck! I'll be happy making it through a 5K at this point!

Thank you all for the tips! I have actually signed up for a 10k that is in about 2 1/2 weeks! And another 5k about two weeks after that! Crazy right? At this point I don't care about the time I just want to finish

I have needed a push for a while with motivation so this is how I plan to do it. What do you all use as motivation?

Whatever inspires you or gets your blood pumping. Mine tends to be angry music when I sprint, inspirational the last mile, and upbeat the rest of the time. Wish there was a way to copy/paste playlists straight from iTunes
