Your doing great Goldengirl! It does get hard each week, but it feels amazing.

I completed w5d2 for a total of 100. It breaks it down into 8 sets, so it was 10,10,13,13,10,10,9 & 25. I found it was easier that way although the last 25 about killed me. I was shaking at the end.

Completed W5D3 for a total 130. My sets were 13,13,15,15,12,12,10 (which I did regular) then 30 (I went back to using the bench & still found it tough). I'm going out of town Wed-Sun so I think next week I will do my push-ups on Sun & Tues. before I go and hopefully will do the 3rd day Thurs. or Fri. I'm going to repeat W5D3 for all workouts next week, since I'll have to do them unmodified while I'm away. Probably won't be able to do the 30 at the end, may have to break it up further. Have a great weekend. Good luck on your exhaustion test GoldenGirl!

Wow, 11 more, awesome job Goldengirl! It's great feeling how much stronger this is making us. I don't know about you, but I never dreamed I would make it this far.

    I did W5D3 today for a total of 142 (I added extra). I did 13,13,15,15,12,12,10 & 10 unmodified and 32 bench.

    Push up W4D1L3: 25, 29, 25, 25, 10 = 114
This was my first time of not being able to finish off the last set. I was suppose to do 36 I do believe and well I only made about 10. I have slacked for this last week so I had several days off and am guessing this might be part of the reason. Hopefully I can make it through the rest of this week and not have to repeat. Tomorrow I will do my second attempt at today's work out.

    Reapeat day and DROP to a level 2 Push up W4D1L2: 25, 20, 20, 20, 28 (90 sec) = 113

I redid yesterday and dropped myself to a Level2 because I don't think I can carry on at a level 3 anymore. I actually am thinking a level 1 might even be a better situation. I did all standard push ups except the last three. However, atleast today I was able to get all of them done!

No I didn't take the exhaustion test. I'm going away this week and figured I won't have time to do much so I figured I just redo week 5 with some modifications.

note to self: do NOT do push up challenge immediately after doing jillian michael's 6 week 6 pack dvd... she has you in SO many variations of plank position... & needless to say my arms were really tired  BUT i did it... had to stop for a second after push up #11 on my last set (but never left plank position & finished strong)... i did week 3, day 2, column 2 (14-19-14-14-19) total of 80 push ups tonight!!

great job on completing week 4 cristy!!!! congrats

Started my program this morning and was told: do as many pushups as you can. I did 34! That's 13 more than when I started! Then I was to choose <35 36-39 or >40. So I guess I'm still in the lowest category (first column, or whatever for those using the web version, my app chooses it for me) . Probably progress through this very slowly, but that's OK, I've really never built upper body strength before, so I'm happy to be doing this! The app said to ne sure to take a rest day before proceeding, so I guess week 5 starts Monday. Happy Friday everyone! I'll check back later for your progress report!

Ok so I have slacked out for all of this week. Do I just repeat week 4 that I was on or what?

Whatever you feel is right. If it was too difficult you can go back, or just jump back in where you were. Welcome back!

    nice job cristy!!!!

ok, so i started week 4, column 2 today & i was a bit nervous... the max was 25 & i'm thinking to myself "can i really do 25 consecutive, good form, push ups?!?"... well, i did it!!! i was so proud of myself!!!

what REALLY helped me finish that last set was a little mind trick my hubby told me... he told me not to think of it as doing 25 push ups, but instead 2 sets of 10 & 1 set of 5... and that's how i counted it out in my head... & it really really worked!!!! my #'s today:

18-22-16-16-25... 97 total push ups today

Tried Week 6 Day 1 it was hard! Did regular push-ups my sets were 25(barely made it), 30(collapsed on the last one), 20(I thought would be easier, but it wasn't) then 15(again was shaking by the time I was finished. For the final set of 40 I desided to use a bench, I knew I couldn't do them regular. I only made 36 before I completely collapsed, my arms felt like jello. I think I need to go back to week 5. There is no way I'm anywhere near doing 100. I think it will take me another month of week 5 and 6 before I can get there. I WILL NOT QUIT!!!

@mixtapemusings - it's not too late, jump on in. Don't let my rant scare you. I'm sooo much stronger than I used to be. Doing this challange has really helped.

@goldengirl - Great job! That last set is always a killer. Way to go keeping it strong. It's not easy, I know my form was awful near the end of all my sets, that's why I think I need to go back and get stronger before moving on

Great job Goldengirl! I love the counting trick, I do similar, I'll count the last 5 down backwards, somehow it helps.

Djthom, your progress has been awesome! Great job sticking with it and not getting frustrated!

    welcome, mixedtapemusing!
