Did I miss more than my usual? Looking through some days back, I'm wondering what MARIE was referring to when she wrote
PHOEBE, I think that is a good ideal. to have a chart for us. I was on one thread once and it had one It was really interesting. Maybe someone will start one for us.
    What chart is it?

    SANDY asked:
Half the day is done, I still want to ride the bike and take a shower. By then it will be dinner time and I still haven't eaten lunch. Where does the time go when we get older????
Oh my gosh, SANDY, right now it's 7:33 PM. I promised to come on our page and post after reading everybody, ...I had no lunch and at 5 PM, I realized it and cooked up some supper, and now, when do I get to eat my third meal? I cannot figure out where the time has flown, cause I ain't done nawthin' today. Oh, we had to watch a "cliff-hanger of a movie" this morning so we could get it into the mail to Netflix befor the mail lady came! We missed her, though, so it was a trip to the postoffice. But a whole day??? And I'm not really hungry, either! (Picture was "Shutter Island", and I didn't doze once!)

DEB, thanks to you, I followed your suggestion and my DS said he'd like to receive that fellow's post and would consider looking at our MFP website. I'd never have had the courage to send it without your nudge! Also, about sodium and unshrinkable tummies...1. I'm now trying to shrink my sodium intake to somewhere around 1000 grams a day! Some days it will be higher, but my ankles are back again! Haven't seen 'em in years!!! 2. I wondered how come the weight is slowly going down, I can get into some old (though fairly new) jeans, but my waistline measurement hasn't budged! Well, I measured today AFTER putting on my bra, and voila...! It lifted the flesh UP, and the waistline DID lose an inch. YAHOO!

DEE, I'm probably making extra work for myself, but because my second window with the post disappeared after so much time (I'm not a touch typist, so I hunt and peck!)
I'm back to using Notepad as my posting page. Then I'll copy and Paste it into our Post, right click to copy it again ( am I paranoid?), just in case...and only then will I click SUBMIT!!!

MARIE, the flowers you sent Dee...save them for my birthday, too. I adore Anthurium, which I try growing out front, and roses, too! So beautiful! And thanks for letting me know we are only at 250! It seems to fill up so darn fast! BY the way, I just throw rhubarb AND strawberries into a pot with a bit of water and Splenda to taste, cover, and let it cook! Simple. If I oversweeten, I add some lemon juice. Sweet and sour is a flavor I just love!

    SANDY,
Then when both windows are open click on the middle square on top to shrink both windows
...when I click on the center square, my windows open way out. What am I doing wrong? And yes, you DO look fantastic! :flowerforyou:

XYLA!!! Welcome back, and glad you're up and about! Oh yes, before surgery everyone tells you it's nothing, but the truth is, as we get mature, it takes much longer to heal. I know the feeling of wanting to get back to normal yesterday, but I'd even suggest cutting the treadmill down to several sessions at 10 minutes instead of 1 for 20 minutes! I hope you feel better day by day!

JUDI, I always loved Yorkshire Pudding with my roast beef! And, I adore your Pet Rules! (And yes, they are easier on us than the kids ever were!) Funny lady!

GIGI, your menu sounds irresistable; lucky guests! Have a wonderful time enjoying the compliments you receive!:smooched:

MADDIE...you are hysterical! But are you FEELING better? One of the "pleasures" of "maturing" is discovering Kegels don't always work, and sometimes the corners of the mouth drool when least expected or wanted! The Golden years tarnish a bit, but NEVER give up! Drrol, Pee, and tomorrow we...??? I forget what we do!

SANDY---Woo Hoo, you're really just about at goal! But don't ever leave us!

MARIE, I suspect you were not getting enough whole grains on SBD! If you up the carbs, your blood sugar should stabilize! I always found it the pleasantest diet.

CONNIE...you are descended from good Massachusetts stock, m'dear!
I am descended from the oldest daughter of Elder William and Mary Brewster, Patience
; we even have a town on Cape Cod named after your forebears! ...And my digital scale always gives me a great number before settling up a pound, too! Sounds to me like you really have gotten yourself under control! :flowerforyou:

DEE...That's almost 4 miles!. Good walking! :drinker:

JACKIE...I do remember using lemon with rhubarb. Please oh please, can you give us that recipe for the rhubarb and squash? Sounds unusual...and by the way, that picture was a tribute to the talent of the photographer as well as Mother Nature!
Your rhododendron shot is lovely, but doesn't vaguely resemble the rhododendrons I grew on Long Island! Different climate, I guess.

Anybody know how to contact Judy? We all miss her!

I'm holding my breath as I SUBMIT this. Have a super Sunday, y'all!

Hello - lovely ladies...sorry I've been so long but had a lovely couple of days in Auckland with my sister, hence new profile pic...stayed at the Skycity Grand which is part of the casino...only lost $10 so it was worth the fun we had. Will read all the posts later...gotta take our little dog for a walk.

    Never Lie to a Woman

A man called home to his wife and said, " Honey I have been asked to go fishing up in Canada with my boss & several of his Friends

We'll be gone for a week. This is a good opportunity for me to get that Promotion I've been wanting, so could you please pack enough Clothes for a week and set out my rod and fishing box,

we're Leaving From the office & I will swing by the house to pick my things up"

" Oh! Please pack my new blue silk pyjamas. "

The wife thinks this sounds a bit fishy but being the good wife she is, did exactly what her husband asked.

The following Weekend he came home a little tired but otherwise looking good.

The wife welcomed him home and asked if he caught many fish?

He said, "Yes! Lots of Salmon, some Bluegill, and a few Swordfish. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pyjamas like I asked you to Do?"

The wife replied, "I did. They're in your fishing box ..."

    Hello Sneakers,

I've been missing in action. We've been too busy to sit down long enough at the computer to post anything. I slept in late as my sciatica has been keeping me awake at night. Darn, I hate that. I am such an insomniac at the best of times, never mind with reason to be away. LOL

I used some $$$$'s that my Mom gave me for Christmas to buy a Garmin GPS enabled Sports Watch. I do love my gadgets. It almost requires a technological degree to get it set up, but once I got it going, I am delighted with it. I went for a great walk and it tracked my route, my time, my calories, etc. It also automatically uploads to the Garmin Connect site with all the information for analysis when I get near to my computer. Wow. Anyway, I hope it will be a good motivation for me to get my 30 minutes of walking in every day. I much prefer walking outside to the treadmill as I find the treadmill, boring, boring, boring.

Tomorrow is a Bday party for one of our grand daughters. I love her so much. She is as spunky as they come. She reminds me of me. LOL It is her 7th birthday. It should be fun.

Anyway, time to go to bed. Have a great day tomorrow.

Happy Sunny Sunday!! :flowerforyou: Beautiful day here, 83 degrees, sun is shining and the world is beautiful.

Maddie, I went to Mass this morning and you and your mom were both in my prayers. I know it is hard not being with her, but you both have to get well to be together, unless you get strong enough to visit her with a mask.

Phoebe, are you home or on the road? Brad got here this morning with a load from Arizona. He will be busy tomorrow trying to find another load out of Chicago. He seems to be keeping busy, so hopefully things will be good for him.

Marie, hope your daughter made it there to help you with your computer. Your flowers to Judy are beautiful, you are so kind. :flowerforyou:

Marilyn, we have missed you and will forward to the information on why your sister is moving, unless I missed it somewhere. :ohwell:

Lynn, is there any song you don't know? You keep us smiling with all those lyrics, keep up the good work.

Jeri, at least we get to talk to you on the home page which is good when we get busy. Your new Garmin GPS sounds very interesting, does it also track miles?

Judy, your new picture is beautiful, what a beautiful lady you are. I am glad you had such a good time with your sister and with a loss of $10 at the casino you are a winner. I have heard your joke before but it still made me laugh, men are so dumb sometimes.

Buzz, your posts make me tired just reading them, you sure put in a lot of work in posting. We appreciate all your comments but don't wear yourself out trying to give us all individual attention. :noway:

Jackie, your picture is beautiful and I bet the actual flowers are amazing. :flowerforyou: You sure do work hard around your garden and property, along with taking care of those bees. You must have a lot of energy young lady.

Deb, you should be proud of yourself and that 4 pound weight loss!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :flowerforyou:

Connie, thanks for the encouragement on my weight loss, but it went up today, I will not change it until tomorrow just in case it goes down. :grumble: I am actually taking a day off today from exercise, my body is hurting a little and my son told me to give my muscles some time to recover for the exercise to work. I think that is what happened in Arizona since I really didn't exercise the same except for some pool time and walking. I think your new plan is working for you and whatever works is the way to go. We all have different bodies so our routines should be different, as long as we do some exercise at least a few times a week.

For those missing, hope you are doing something fun and having a great day!!

Maddie, you are panicking and not good for you at all. Are you home alone? You may need to worry more about yourself than your mother right now. She has all kinds of help, and you dont. Plz be careful, dial 911 if you need to, dont wait too long. Keep a phone in your pocket too.
